Weekly Thread Weekly Thread: Self-Promotion Thread
What is this thread?
While self-promotion is still against the subreddit rules, this is the place for content creators to promote their content and grow with the farming simulator community. This will keep self-promotion separate from the main feed.
How does it work?
You are free to post your Youtube channel, Twitch stream, mods, etc. in the comments of this post. This does not mean that you can make these types of posts in the main feed, as they will still be removed. We ask that you use the provided template when posting in this thread.
The thread will refresh weekly (Friday morning USA time) to ensure that each creator gets equal exposure without being pushed out by larger creators or getting buried in the comments. Please keep in mind that comments made early friday morning will be wiped soon so it would be wise to wait until the new post is made so that your comment is visible for the week.
Example Template:
| Name | Giraffe Sheep |
|---|---|
| Content Type | Mods |
| Description | A description of your content or a specific piece of content |
| Link | A direct link to your content (Note: For mods, only use trusted websites or it might get removed.) |

Discussion Is the Farm Stick worth it?
I’ve been playing FS25 for over a year now on and off on PC. Recently I heard about the Farm Stick by Thrustmaster. It seems pretty cool I like the idea of it but I’m questioning about if it is really worth it for the price. In the past I’ve used key binds on my mouse for front loaders and stuff and has worked pretty well. Really I’d like to just get a general opinion.
I’d also like to mention it would be my first simulator controller as I don’t have a steering wheel, but would be the logical next step.

It was my favorite tractor in FS22 but it's not yet available on FS25 ps5 modhub. Really want to know.

Discussion Keep updating current game.
I've always been curious as to why GIANTS don't do what ETS and ATS do and just keep updating the game without making a completely new one every few years?

LF - HELP Silage production line
Automation experts, please help! I really want this to work, but I don't think it will, any ideas?
Before the silo, I'd dump into the GÖWEIL VARIO-Master V140 directly, it bales, it wraps, the storage stores. Great.
This takes AGES to wait because the intake on the GÖWEIL is only 20k litres. So the idea is to be able to dump grass and chaff into the fermenting silo (mod), to produce silage, dump it into the GÖWEIL and then auto-drop it into my pallet and bale storage (think that's base game), so I can do a bi-monthly scoot to the animal dealer and sell my sillage.
It would be cool for it to work if possible but it doesn't seem like it obviously wants to, hopefully I'm just missing something.

Discussion New idea
Why is the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) not an addition to the game? I work with farmers on CRP in my daily life and think it could be a great addition to the realism of the game if players were able to enroll portions of their fields into CRP.
This could help players square up fields or remove lower-producing soils while still generating income from those areas. However, they would also need to manage those acres like in real life by controlling trees and brush in prairie plantings, conducting prescribed burns, and maintaining habitat quality.
I think adding prescribed fire would be a fun feature as well. This could include tools such as a handheld drip torch and water tank sprayers to help keep fires contained within designated areas.
If prairie plantings were added, there could also be a way to produce and harvest native seed. Players could grow native prairie seeds or plugs in greenhouses or production plots, which would introduce new equipment such as specialized seed collectors, seed cleaners, and planters.
Overall, I think CRP and prairie management would add a unique layer of realism and provide players with another way to earn income while improving wildlife habitat and land stewardship.

Discussion Fs25 freezing
I dont know what is the problem, but my fs25 freezes at some actions, like deleting a game save, saving game, auto save. Yes the pc has good enough specs to run fs25, better than the recommended.

Discussion Thrustmaster Simstick and controller
Hi folks, just a quick one but does anyone know if the thrustmaster simstick still works with controller on PS5? All the literature says it needs to have a compatible wheel but on MrSeallyP's video he was working it with his PS5 controller.
He said at the time that they also said it wouldn't work without the wheel but that as it was a pre-issue he wasn't sure if they would put in a patch that stopped it.
Is there anyone using it now that can confirm if it will work on a PS5 with a controller?
I might get a wheel as well but I play just on my TV so a joystick is already going to be a stretch for the setup!

LF - HELP FS 25 Texture Swap
Does anyone know a simple or easy way to switch crop textures on maps in FS25?
In 22 I used to be able to just swap texture files between maps and it would work as simple as that. In 25 this seems locked and I can't get it to work the same.
I would like to use the corn and soybean textures from Ray County on Alma or other maps with the base game textures.
Is there a simple way to do this like on FS22?
