Lost/Found Grocery Outlet Missed Connection
Ok this is a long shot but I figure it's better than a Craigslist missed connection. Two weeks ago (Wednesday) I was in Grocery Outlet in South Lake and chatted with a cute tall guy about gluten free/ vegetarian food options, but I had to leave before we could talk more. He had brown hair, was really dirty and was wearing a green shirt from a tiling or paving company I think. We didn't talk that much but I've been romanticizing the moment in retrospect and hoping to run into him again at GrocOut. If it was you will you DM me? Tell me what aisle of the store we were standing in :)
Event Town Loops
A friend of mine shared this with me and it’s been pretty nice having a way to find out what’s going on in town every week especially because I don’t use facebook. Also sounds like it’s a locally made website:

Trip Report Pervert in the woods NSFW
Public PSA: was walking my dog around 6pm Sat evening in the multi-use trails off Barbara Avenue and unfortunately walked past a pervert who was jerking himself off next to a tree next to one of the main walking trails, had it out in full view and everything. :( Brown jacket, jeans. Be safe y'all.

Question Places to Relax, drink and smoke.
My last post I asked about the house and techno scene and had some great responses. Again we’ll be in town next week. What if we want to sit, relax and enjoy some cannabis and adult beverages? What lounges, restaurants, bars, dispensaries and/or hidden gems do you recommend? Thanks!

Question Night Life South Tahoe
We are going to be Tahoe next week and we both love house and techno. Where could we find some local venues that have that? Thanks! 🪩

Question “Experience” Birthday Gift Ideas
Looking for “Experience” gift ideas in the Tahoe area for my husband’s birthday this month. I would like it to be something we can do in the next few months so summer ideas on the Lake are out. We are North Lake residents and would like to stay within a 90 min. drive. TIA!
Edit: we are both healthy, able-bodied 50 somethings who hike in summer and ski in winter. However, I’m a bit more risk adverse than my husband is.

Question How are Hope Valley leaves right now?
Thinking about making the drive from sparks tomorrow to see the trees before they are all fallen, I’ve heard they are past peak already. Is it worth still making the trip to go see? Or should I just go to spooner lake? Anyone been out there lately? Wanna see some fall trees before they’re gone.

Question Health insurance brokers
Is there anyone in West/North Tahoe, CA that can recommend a health insurance broker? I would like to price options outside of the Covered CA network. There are so many scam insurance brokers and any help from neighbors is appreciated.

Question MTB in late November?
I'm going to be in Tahoe towards the end of November, I'm hoping to get some riding in. Is that too late for most of the trails? I'm open to any type of trail or bike park.

Question Which Ski Resort has not only group kids ski lesson but a viewing deck/lodge where you can see your kids learn skiing?
So we are researching ski resorts that have kids group ski lessons but also want a place where we can sit and watch whether on an outside deck or indoor.
I’m not familiar with all the ski resorts in Lake Tahoe but a good example is Mt. Rose.
We went there and we loved it because not only do they have ski group lessons but me and my wife and also their grandparents can just sit on the viewing deck and watch very clearly. So obviously we know Mt. Rose has it
We are wondering of other ski resorts?
This really relies on people’s experience since you can’t really tell from ‘maps’.
We want to try other ski resorts.

Question Lake Tahoe for NYE or SF
My friend wants to go to Lake Tahoe for NYE. I will be flying into SFO on the 30th so we will likely start driving on the 30th or on the 31st. I will be the only person driving and I am just worried that the traffic and the road condition will be horrible and we will be stuck in traffic longer that I can handle. I have never done this drive before around this time so want to see people's advice.
Thank you!
