(i know money can be a sensitive subject and i mean no disrespect by asking this question)
i know this is not very “abundance mindset” of me to have these anxious thoughts, so im looking for advice. i’m also curious if anyone else has had a similar experience:
i’ve been dancing full time for over 3 years, i’m a very good saver and im young so i don’t have a lot of expenses. i put a lot of time and energy into improving my hustle and taking care of myself. i know that i earned this money through hard work and that i deserve to live a good life. i also love my job, i love dancing and hustling the customers and tbh i just love being in the strip club. ive worked in a lot of different cities and grown a lot as a hustler since i started. i want to perfect my craft of being the best stripper possible.
that being said sometimes i feel guilty when i get a room or a dance because i know there’s other girls at my club with kids and medical bills and lots of other things they urgently need money for. whereas i have a lot of money saved up. so it creates a weird dynamic where if i make $100 off a guy from dances i start thinking about how the other dancers probably need it more than i do , and sometimes i start feeling guilty for just hoarding money or for “taking” a sale from someone else even when i got it fair and square.
logically i know im saving up for my future which you can never do too much of, i work just as hard as all the other girls and deserve the money i make. i know i do a lot of things that other girls don’t do when it comes to travel dancing and researching sales techniques which is part of what makes me more successful than some others. i also try to spread the love around the club when appropriate by tipping out the staff and getting my customers to tip the other girls on stage. and im open to working with other girls too to try to get VIPs together.
i guess i just feel like i need a girl who’s been in the game a long time to tell me its ok to be a high achiever and be proud of it. and im also open to any advice for how to best navigate the dynamic where im getting more VIPs than most girls at my club. because sometimes it’s awkward hearing everyone complain about how slow it was and how they have bills to pay and kids to feed and i’m the one getting all the rooms even though im not living paycheck to paycheck and don’t have any kids or pets depending on me. ive seen how some of those girls approach customers and it’s no surprise to me why im selling more because i have a better strategy.
i guess its just the nature of the job that it gets competitive. i’m always down for a friendly competition but how do i stop this feeling that im literally taking food out of my coworkers kids’ mouths just by doing my job?
i want to be proud to perform at a high level and constantly challenge myself to be better without feeling like i need to dim my light or hold myself back from my potential. i don’t want to feel like im fucking people over just because i’m doing well
