Hey everyone, after a bit of research I finally built my first rig and I couldn’t be happier
•Sim Lab GT1 EVO
•Moza R12 wheelbase with SRP2 pedals and KS wheel
•NRG bucket seat
•34” LG VA monitor that’s on a swivel mount
I was originally going to get the Track Racer TR80S, but my local Microcenter had the GT1 EVO in stock so I decided to grab that instead. Super happy with it so far. It’s super sturdy, but slim enough to slide against the wall next to my desk.
Got the R12 bundle at Microcenter as well and I plan to upgrade the pedals first. Was looking at the Simsonn Plus X’s but if you guys have any recommendations let me know.
I mostly play AMS2 for now, but plan on doing some online racing once I get better. Excited to be a part of the hobby!

Hello all, I am working on a free, open source port of Grand Prix 4 to Godot engine.
This is a different project to my GP2 Revival mod - and will be released soon after!
What's working so far:
- Runs in 4K on a humble Macbook (M1 Pro) at nearly 100fps! The original code had an interesting limitation, a 30fps cap to the physics engine. That's now been removed.
- The entire scene is rendered in Godot engine (well known open source game engine) replacing the dated old 2002 3D renderer in its entirety.
- Screen space reflections for cars and track surface in wet weather
- Godot engine is cross-platform thanks to Forward+ supporting NVidia RTX cards - DLSS 5 will look amazing in this as it'll work on top of a modern engine not the old 2002 PC version.
- AMD cards and Apple Silicon GPUs fully working
- Working on the Windows port now, will release it when the Mac version is done
- Every car and track runs flawlessly with no weirdness, no bugs
AND... now the real work starts... VR support, force feedback with my Moza and Fanatec rigs, basically sky is the limit. I'll post the first footage this evening so keep a watch on https://www.youtube.com/@GP2Revival
What would you like to see?

Oh dear. Thoughts on stealing peoples posts from reddit and reposting them without crediting the original?
And then blocking you and all your team members when you’re called out in the comments about it?
My reddit video gained some traction on r/iracing. This lovely Instagram bot farm account grabbed the video, slapped a shitty music track on it and posted it to Instagram, and got 200k views! They even copied my caption exactly.
All I wanted was to be credited ): that would’ve been fine.
Not having a sook. More making others aware of this snakey fella. Bad juju.

Hello, Ive managed to pick up a trak racer Tr80s with an integrated triple monitor mount from market place, with the intention of going triple 27's.
Assembled the rig and monitor stand and with no monitors attatched my partner isn't overly happy with the span of the montor mount.
I have been hot lapping with a controller on a 34in ultrawide for a couple of weeks mainly to learn track layouts. I have set the 34in on the rig and have the correct FOV but would like more immersion. I have looked into a 49in ultrawide and from what I can see it'll fill my peripheral vision but still lacking side windows.
Im now leaning towards the big screen beyond 2, almost the same price as the G9 but concerned about long term use and performance. I only plan on playing LMU, potentially iracing in the future. My partner also is fully for this route. I have a 13600k and 9070xt on ddr4. I will be upgrading to a 9800x3d after christmas.
Any guidance or advice. Open to any suggestions.

I went to the Sim Gaming Expo in Schaumburg for the sim racing. I didn't expect the parking lot to be a car show.
Friday, the lot filled up with the attendees' own machines — a Ferrari 458 Italia, an M3, a Brabus S580, a factory Elantra N TCR Edition, a second M3 in Isle of Man green, a Mustang Dark Horse, a Cybertruck, and more.
Full photo rundown of all 18 cars: https://gridlogicracing.com/blogs/news/spotted-the-best-cars-at-the-chicago-sim-gaming-expo
Anyone else make it out? What did you spot?

Active throttle and brake pedals that run in simhub via the diy ffb plugin. Aluminum parts were bought as part of a group buy within the community (I am not the organizer for this)
Note these designs aren’t my own but from the diy ffb pedal community.

Spent the better part of 9 months on and off designing this centre dash and button box for my sim rig and thought you all might appreciate it. Uses a 10" Vocore screen, a Stream Deck+ and a RAM mounting arm.
I'd had a PDU5 dash for a while, but decided I wanted something bigger as a centre console for leaderboard stats, maps and to run a media controller on.
Started with just the dimensions of the Vocore and a very rough model of the Stream Deck while I waited four months for my Vocore order to arrive. Built a cardboard mockup and a 3D model of my entire rig to figure out dimensions and positioning in the meantime.
Then came the prototyping. So many prototypes. I've kept maybe half of the full size ones as I like having the history of it, but there were many MANY smaller test pieces to check clearances and mounting on the screen and stream deck.
Final product is amazing (in my humble opinion) though. Barely visible layer lines from the 3D print, perfect fit on the screen and the deck sits maybe a half mm proud from the dash. Its plenty sturdy enough on the mounting arm with minimal flex during use and the fitment on the top and bottom halves is spot on.

I received my Playseat Challenge DD F1 today and I'm still trying to figure out the best seating position.
I'm 188 cm (6'2") and around 105 kg (231 lbs), using a Fanatec CSL DD 8 Nm with load cell pedals and a Quest 3 for VR.
Initially, I had the seat more upright, but the wheel was way too close to my body, and my arms were hitting my stomach when turning. Reclining the seat further seems to have solved that.
The position feels pretty comfortable so far, but I'm not sure if it's actually ergonomically correct. I mainly race GT3 in iRacing, so the very reclined, F1-style position feels a bit unusual.
Does this look like a reasonable driving position to you? Would you change anything?
I'm also considering the Next Level Racing RCF for its more upright seating position and adjustability, but I'd prefer to keep the Playseat if I can get everything dialed in properly.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

I'm curious on other people's thoughts. I have a higher end system for the serious games like AC and LMU.
My question is put to the community without consideration of budget. Sometimes I just want a fun game like Forza Horizon and my system does not have an easy workaround to get the force feedback working properly in Forza Horizon 6 for instance. So I usually end up playing with a controller.
If budget was not problem, would any of you give consideration to a secondary system just to play this game when you just want to drive around a city for fun. And if so, which system would you get and why?
The other truth to having a secondary system is I've had friends come over and not respect my toy and so having a secondary system would also be a way to protect the real one from the thugs lol.

Hi everyone, I designed a modular, 3d printable shifter knob for the Thrustmaster TH8S.
The idea is to make a shifter knob that can be tuned to suit your preferences. I've designed two main variants in different sizes, with interchangeable tire styles for different grip options, optional weights, and even a version designed for TPU or other flexible materials.
I'd love to hear what you think! Are there any features you'd like to see added, or is there anything you feel is missing from current shifter knobs in general, not just the TH8S?
You can find the models here: https://www.printables.com/model/1871886-tireshifter-modular-shifter-knob-for-thrustmaster
P.S. These are all photos of actual 3d-printed models. I colored the wheels with acrylic markers, which have held up surprisingly well even without a clear coat, although I'd still recommend using one. Of course, anyone with a multicolor printer can print these details in a different filament color.

For about as long as we can remember, almost every pedal review we’ve published has prompted the same question: what about the Simgrade VX-PRO? This is the answer.
The VX-PRO is a three-pedal load cell set designed, manufactured and sold out of Finland. It’s aimed at sim racers who want relatively high-end pedals at a relatively affordable price, at least compared to a lot of the market. Rather than a quick test, we’ve lived with these pedals for about 18 months, across a couple of different hardware iterations.
We’ve used them on and off on our test rigs, mixing and matching them with other pedal sets, to see how they perform and how they hold up over time.

I come in peace.
I know nothing about sim racing, I had to sneak onto my throwaway account to give my bf zero hints. I want to give him a good pair of gloves to replace the old tattered ones he's been using for years now (this is something he's expressed ever since we got together, so it's not just my speculation haha). Like as a Christmas gift. I just have no idea where to start, so any advice from y'all veterans would be super appreciated.
Thanks in advance y'all :)

Hello racers,
I’ve been driving on Alpha Evo Pro for a good part of 2026. I decided to get Simagic cause of torque/price ratio and the fact it’s a relatively new hardware with pass through etc.
After hundreds of hours in iRacing and LMU, I’m starting to second guess myself (especially when it comes to LMU) whether I made a good decision.
I’m just not happy I guess and I’m contemplating selling the base for something else.
Here are my very specific questions (maybe someone is able to answer).
LMU FFB is not ideal, missing road feel and mid corner details. Also coasting feels very sketchy. Do you think any other wheelbase maker does better job with LMU FFB?
I’ve set the base millions of times using different advice, it doesn’t really click for me.
Did anyone swap from Simagic to Simucube or VRS and say “yes that’s way better FFB” ?
Did you do the opposite ? Swapped from VRS or Simucube to Simagic and didn’t regret ?
Maybe I’m chasing FFB difference which isn’t there ?
Bonus question - for base makers that offer telemetry FFB, do the additional effects add to the experience ?
Yeah.. help the brother out.

I was thinking about doing it like that with my setup. Basically putting the next level GT seat next to the side of my table. Facing towards the table on which I have my pc and my main monitor. I was thinking about having that main monitor on an arm and just swinging it out towards the seat when racing. But I'm not sure if arms like that even exist haha.
Anyone tried doing this or is currently using this? If so then any advice on this or pics maybe are highly appreciated. Thank you!

Just finished building this wooden rig and wanted to show you guys. Wifey is meh about it.. Thought you guys would like it. It's not without flaws, but it's a big improvement over the wooden foldable rig I built that didn't have an attached chair. This one is pretty solid, brakes stay firm, and the mouse doesn't fall off the deck lol.
2x6s and 3/4" plywood.
42 pocket hole screws
8 1/2" bolts (I think)
3 3/8ths bolts
2 L.brackers and some screws.
Seat is passenger from a Mini Cooper
I'm going to add two triangles to the monitor stand this weekend but it is good enough to hold for now with no other forces. And cable management... Ugh.
While building I also upgraded to the simjack pedals and what a difference. It's like I've never raced.. shesh..
90% of gameplay is Richard Burns but I'll probably buy ACC if it goes back on sale again. Maybe AC also idk for those highway runs.
Now I will save up for a new wheel base bc the angle alone from the logitech is annoying..
Then maybe next year around this time I plan to actually build a profile rig (this was an easy step to see footprint and ease the wifey into it) Gonna have to have her drive it also. Hehe

As per title, I have a Logitech G Pro and matching pedals (on a PlaySeat Trophy) and want to get a shifter that is compatible with both PS5 (for GT7 and AC/ACC, WRC etc) and with Windows 11 as well (again for AC/ACC/AC Evo/AC Rally, LMU). I know Logitech make their own RS shifters but I can't afford to buy two of them because ideally I'd like one that can switch between sequential and H-pattern, such as the Fanatec ClubSport SQ v1.5, but apparently that needs to be plugged into a Fanatec base to work on the PS5. I also looked at the Thrustmaster TH8a but not sure that would be PS5 compatible for the same reason. ChatGPT suggested DriveHub but it doesn't seem to be on sale anymore.
Can any of you experts out there recommend any other good shifters that would fully work with a G Pro on both PS5 and PC?

I have my PXN V10 Ultra wheel plugged into a USB2 repeater plugged into my computer. I proved the repeater works by plugging in a flash drive and that worked.
When plugged into the repeater, the wheel lights up and stays powered on.
When plugging / unplugging the wheel, Windows Device Manager's device list refreshes and I see the list of Human Interface Devices lengthen and shorten.
However, PXN SimRacing hub doesn't show the wheel as connected, and the program itself seems to be running painfully slow. I timed it, it takes 2 whole seconds for clicking a menu button to change what's on screen, and about the same amount of time for dragging the window to do anything.
What's going on?
edit: connecting my wheel directly to pc works so the repeater just isnt strong enough for wheel
idk what to do about this

I currently have a set of Fanatec CSL Load Cell pedals, but I’m looking to upgrade; the brake feels too rigid and lacks travel—I’m after something that feels more realistic. My budget is limited, and I’d like a set of pedals that can be upgraded later on—specifically, the ability to add haptic motors. I’ve looked at the SimNet SP Pro and Evo, as well as the Simsonn Plus X, and I’ve heard good things about them, but I’m not sure which ones to choose. I’d appreciate a recommendation. I have $600 available, though I’d prefer to spend around $300—that said, if it’s truly worth it, I could stretch to the full $600 for a pedal set.

Hey everyone!
I’m looking at getting the SimXPro XT120 along with their single integrated monitor stand (totaling around €680) with free shipping
At this price point are there better value-for-money?
Would love to hear your thoughts before pulling the trigger! Thanks!
