Just picked up a Mojave Grom Blx! So, far with the limited time I’ve used it like 20 minutes head and shoulders above the traxxas mini slash 4x4! If I would’ve know I was going to have to trim the body on the slash that much to get the best use never would’ve bought!

Just got into RC cars heavily this year. So much fun, so much learned. I've now built this 8th scale buggy, the one 10th scale short course truck, and now I'm working on that 1/8 scale touring car, but that's going to be a project over several months. I've only had the Short Course Truck for a couple of months, maybe driven it 20 or 25 times, and complete bald spots on all four tires lol. So much fun... 🥳

I’ve tried 3 different fully charged batteries. Bunch of different things but my brand new hpi d10 flux is just double blinking red no matter what. Set button does nothing. Steering and gyro work fine.

(more pics below!)
Still working out the bugs with the front steering, and rear track width.
However this little car is going good now! I spent all of last night putting on the carpet wheels/tires and the 17.5 system in it. And I'm very happy to report that the buggy likes it very well :)
I'm hoping to bring it out to the carpet, at IndyRC, next week for some testing and maybe even a few heats. However for now, I'll be sitting on it to perform more research!
If anyone has any experience running these buggies on carpet, or even racing them at all, please feel free to share!!

Couldn't find a ready solution for the mess with my sons rc cars so I made storage racks for cars and controllers.
First pic is before, 2 and 3 after.

I know I've been asking a lot recently but where would I have to solder this battery to get it connected again so I can charge and see if these Bluetooth Speakers and lights still work for a project im working on.

(repost because the mods have been ignoring my mail/requests!)
For $150, sticker price, you honestly can't go that wrong with it.
It's 4wd, very durable, and extremely versatile too! The 12mm hexes let you mix and match wheels and tires, even 1/10 racing buggy wheels!! (If you don't mind tipping over all the time)
The truck does have a few iffy points though, stickers come unapplied and YOU must apply them. But wait, make sure to take off the clear film on the body before then! But parts of the roof skids and plastic details on the body, will make it difficult to take it all off in one go.
Besides that, the rear end does sit a little low. And it's a little soft too. The fronts actually might have more travel than the rears. And the diffs are super loose from the factory, really too loose to have fun and drift it on pavement. And mine had misaligned toe out of the box I had to adjust with the steering tie rods. (The truck would snap oversteer in one direction annoyingly)
Mine also has some pretty bad gear noise, like makes you worry you're making metal confetti noise. And the stock tires were almost unusably hard of a compound. Especially on loose dirt, the car was basically uncontrollable.
Also I hate the name "Blackzon" and the overall looks of the body are pretty mid for my tastes. If they went with normal HPI branding, I would've bought it sooner! Because the current branding makes it look like another chinesium Amazon car. But that's all nickel and dime really. But it did make me hesitate to purchase, until I found out Blackzon is HPI.
The closest competitor to this would be other 1/16 SC trucks, like the Mojave Grom. Which is actually smaller than the Vyper. But to get the brushless Mojave Grom, it's considerably more than the Blackzon Vyper Turbo.
I forgot to mention, this Blackzon Vyper comes 3s compatible right out of the box, and uses a non-proprietary deans connector. Unlike the spektrum connectors the Groms have.
Overall, if you sink $30 worth of Proline Mirages or 1/16 (MERV) slash wheels/tires. This thing is a blast! And I honestly couldn't recommend it more if you were in the market for a mini right now.

Just got this in the mail. Everything worked, but the servo replaced this dead servo system, but unfortunately the one that I replaced it with jitters sometimes while parked. Are there any 1/28 rc cars that use the same time of servo motor?

Finished up the seat brackets and got them mounted, installed the bingo shock towers and started assembling the adjustable links. More parts on the way to finish the lower dash panel/ cluster
The guys are making some progress 😃 but a lot of work still to do😃 WPL metal axles and steering links with leaf springs added servo mount to front axle to relocate servo from the original frame mount. WPL2 speed metal gearbox with 370 motor and aftermarket metal extended driveshafts😃 the 1/16 scale (Big Farm)Ram Truck came with a fifth wheel attachment and fifth wheel flatbed trailer. I currently have two 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500 that have the same fifth wheel and flatbed trailer, already converted to RC. Check out my profile.

Hi, does anyone know where I could find the 3D print file for the part circled in the picture? Can find many for the servo arm but struggling to find one of the link. It is for a Arrma Mojave Grom.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking to set up a 2wd slash for sand and whatnot, so I’m running paddles in the back. I’m looking at the proline dumont tires, but I’m not sure of those are more 4x4 front oriented? The only lined tires I’m really seeing online other than those are a set of team associated ribbed tires

So I painted my 1/10th scale losi 22x front cab body shell with some random red and white spray paint from Bunnings, it said it sticks to plastic so I though I was set but after painting I checked online and apparently I needed polycarbonate paint, is the stuff I used gonna be a issue or is it all the same stuff, (I painted on the inside, 3 coats red backed with 2 coats white)
