27F | First international trip – Need help with Phuket, Krabi & Phi Phi itinerary

Hey everyone! I'm 27F from India, planning my first international trip to Thailand this November for 8 days.

Thinking of covering Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi, but a bit confused about how to split the days and what all to include.

Would love some suggestions on must-visit places, fun activities, hidden gems or even things I should skip.

If you've been there recently, please share your experience or itinerary. Would really help. Thanks! :)

Recommendation Recommendations and advice please

Hi everyone! ☀️🌴

My partner and I are visiting Phuket from 20th November to 6th December, and we’ll be staying at Diamond Resort in Bang Tao! 🇹🇭
We’re looking for recommendations on the best things to see, do and eat while we’re there!
We’ve already got a few things on our list, including visiting temples, exploring night markets, an elephant sanctuary, Monkey Hill, and watching the sunrise and sunset. 🐘🌅
There are also a few places we’re considering, but we’re not sure whether they’re worth visiting:

Carnival Magic
Jungle Xtreme Adventure Park
The Rabbit Hole
The Hidden Café
Thai fight
Thai cooking class

Has anyone visited these places? Would you recommend them, or are there better things to do?
We’d also love to hear about any hidden gems, beautiful viewpoints, fun activities or places that you think are a must-visit!

Also is it best to book while you’re there in person or book in advance?
We’re open to pretty much anything and would love to make the most of our two weeks! 🥰
Thank you in advance! ❤️

Question Heat acclimatisation is said to take 10-14 days of regular training. If you train on Phuket, how long did it take you?

The figure I keep finding for heat acclimatisation is 10-14 days of regular training. Until then the body sweats less efficiently and loses more salt in sweat than it will a month later.

For scale: the ACSM range is 0.5-2 litres of sweat per hour of exercise, and a morning class in an open-air gym at 30 °C with humidity over 80% sits near the top of it. For someone at 80 kg that can mean 1.5-2 kg down on the scale after an hour, even when drinking during the session.

So two sessions a day in the first week looks like the most reliable way to end up feeling bad "because of the heat".

For people who moved here or come back every season: how long did it actually take before training stopped feeling brutal, and what made the first two weeks easier for you?

Question Counsellors you'd recommend for mental health issues?

We're quite aware that mental health takes a backseat here. I'm diagnosed ADHD and BPD and getting my regular meds is another pipe dream.

I'm looking for a non-judgmental therapist you'll personally recommend. Sometimes Google reviews feel forced.

Do you have a psychiatrist or a counsellor to recommend?

My DMs are open, and if you message me, I'll send you a picture of my cat.

Thank you so muchies ❤️

• Upvotes

Hey there, just curious to know prices and what is involved at gogo bars.

Do they do lap dancers like in Australia/America if so how much or is more like bikini dancers on stage with no nudity? Prices of beer and lady drinks ect ect?

Not after sex or anything just somewhere to chill and have a good time :)

Phuket Nov 1–18 🇹🇭 | 28M Solo Traveler – Looking for Fun People to Hang Out With

Hey everyone!
I’m 28M from Saudi Arabia, traveling solo to Phuket from November 1–18, and looking to meet some fun, outgoing people to enjoy the trip with!
I’m really into nightlife, beach clubs, parties, exploring new places, trying new activities, and spontaneous adventures. Basically, anything fun and exciting!
I’d love to meet like-minded travelers who speak English comfortably so we can easily communicate, hang out, party, and plan some cool activities together.
I’m chill, open-minded, easygoing, and always up for a good laugh. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, I’m down to join!
If you’ll be in Phuket around those dates, drop a comment or DM me. Let’s get a fun group together and make some unforgettable memories! 🌴🍻🔥

First time in Phuket with a toddler: Which area for a quiet family stay?

Hi everyone,

We're a group of 6 adults and a 3-year-old, and we're flying to Phuket in March. It'll be our first time in Thailand. Our flights are already booked, and now we're looking for accommodation. Since we have no idea which area would suit us best, I'd love to get some advice from you.

We'd like to avoid parties, loud music and strange smells (which, according to Google, is the case in Patong).

What we're looking for: beautiful beaches, a family-friendly area, restaurants, a gym and food delivery.

We're staying for 12 nights. Also, which islands should we definitely not miss?

Thanks a lot in advance!
