Finally got all the parts and time to make my tank, forgot to include but also using a meshify 3 xl case!

I’d switch to a controller, but the problem is that the games I like play SO much better with mouse and keyboard.

And honestly, it makes me not even want to play. When I switch to controller, I feel so restricted and limited. But whenever I go back to mouse and keyboard, the pain in my right wrist comes back.

How do you guys deal with wrist pain from gaming? Is there anything that actually helps?

Still bought it asap, had to check to see if it was wrokg item in the wrong spot lol couldn't figure out why it was so cheap. Would've rather found a prebuilt for 50% off tho

I wanna get a klevv cras v 32go kit but i contacted the store just to tell me they offer only 6 months of warranty on all their products, should i get it or not! As they said if theres a problem with a ram kit it would be obvious from the first time using it doesn’t matter if it’s 6 months or 12. What’s your opinion guys?

Edit: im talking about the store warranty, not the manufacturer, most stores here do 1 year warranty.

When I first starting seeing these videos on shorts, describing what was going on. I dead ass thought it was a joke, I thought it was some modders screwing around and trying to start a rumor Onion style.

But no, no this is a real thing that's actually happening and the implications are kind of breaking my brain a little bit. Like, how is minecraft working in GTA? Both games have completely different physics engines! I don't understand how you can have both in one game with out constant crashing and conflicts. Full disclosure, my understanding of coding in general is limited, but for real, how is this suddenly a thing?

And then there's the whole situation with PS5 OS operating on a PC, but having full support for Ps2 and Ps3 games with the discs? Like, HUH? Why would putting an OS on different hardware suddenly change its functionality? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I have been in the IT industry for a few years. But this is showing me just how little I really understand about how software works.

And hell. I can’t even begin to comprehend what we the people could do with our home PCs and "open sourced" versions of the biggest software brands out there.

She built her pc a while ago with hand-me-down parts. Haven’t looked at it since she moved in. She mostly plays indie titles, side scrollers, and psx-era games. After seeing some questionable performance trying to run a recent title, I discovered the cpu was throttling on startup lol, and running 70-75c on idle once everything settled down. Don’t worry it now has a thermalright peerless assassin 120 se and she is amazed with the performance. Cant believe she ran this rig for 4 years like this 🤣

I'm 25, and my gaming journey started when I was 4 or 5 years old.
My parents bought our first PC, probably for my brother, who's 5 years older than me. I was in Jr KG and had no idea how a computer worked, but I still remember the first time I played Age of Empires. After that, I ran home from school every day just to play it. Strategy games are what made me a gamer, and I've loved the genre ever since.
As a kid I also played God of War, Vice City and San Andreas. Then studies got serious and I left gaming behind for a long time.
In 2020 I picked up Assassin's Creed on my brother's laptop, which had pretty average specs, and it pulled me right back in. I bought my own GTX 1650 laptop soon after and played a ton of games on it. Currently playing witcher 3 remastered on it.
Now I'm a doctor, and I'm finally planning to build a PC with an RTX 5080.
Funny how it all started with one old PC and one strategy game. 😄
What was the first game that got you hooked? And any tips for my 5080 build?

An upgrade I wish I’d made sooner... because my goodness, glossy OLED panels are a thing of beauty.

That said, I have to give credit and pay my respects to the Acer XB270HU. This was literally the world’s first 1440p 144Hz IPS monitor. I bought this thing back in 2015, and it still runs like a champ with zero dead pixels.

I remember pairing this thing with my GTX 970, and man, it was a struggle trying to run games at 1440p with 144Hz refresh rate. Which of course led to the inevitable snowball of GPU upgrades: GTX 970 > GTX 1080 > RTX 2080 Ti > RTX 5080.

I did make a little sidegrade back in 2019. Before my OLED monitor arrived, I was using a 24 inch 1080p 144Hz IPS panel as my second monitor. Which the Acer XB270HU has taken over as the secondary Monitor. I plan on keeping this Acer forever until it dies. It is a piece of relic and history after all.

Apparently she (14) plays shooters on PS5 but wants a computer. He's been in town doing landscaping for us while his newborn is in the NICU, so in addition to what we're paying him we're gifting him this. It's a mostly spare-parts build and it does play Arc Raiders at 1080P medium native with TAAU over 60fps, so I know it's somewhat capable. I don't know what the kids play though. I told him this will show if she would even use a PC but doesn't have a lot of storage. Showed him how to add an NVMe or SATA SSD if needed.

One interesting thing, 24C mins, 58C max in coretemp. That's the lowest I've seen on an AM4 chip. This case doesn't even have good airflow but the GPU is a blower type and the cooler is right up to the rear exhaust. I changed the front top exhaust to an intake.

What do the kids play that this wouldn't do?

Building a PC for the first time, but 2 screws won't stick out of 7, no matter how much I spin it it just comes off with screwdriver magnet.

Can I leave them empty? Or am I cooked? EDIT: I WAS MISSING 2 STANDOFFS, BUT THEY ONLY GAVE ME 1 STANDOFF? WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THE OTHER ONE?

I'm a little pissed off, I've had a NZXT Motherboard for a bit and it developed some issues that took me a while to pinpoint. I contacted NZXT as it was within the 3 year warranty still and it took a few weeks of back and fourth until they told me in writing that replacement of my board has been approved, but instead of sending mine in they asked me to send them a video where I destroy it and once that is reviewed they'll ship out replacement within a couple of days.

Their own email stated multiple times that replacement was approved and ready to ship once they got the video but also this important piece of info:

If the exact product is out of stock, we will provide a replacement product of equal or better performance.

I was like, okay, weird way to get a replacement but whatever. I sent them the video. They replied to me couple days later and suddenly they have no stock available and can only offer a refund of what I had originally paid years ago.

Has anyone here had similar experience with their warranty support? This has been my first NZXT product and as well as the first time interacting with their support.

What should I do? I have a feeling I'm getting screwed either way.
