Question NZXT Warranty

I'm a little pissed off, I've had a NZXT Motherboard for a bit and it developed some issues that took me a while to pinpoint. I contacted NZXT as it was within the 3 year warranty still and it took a few weeks of back and fourth until they told me in writing that replacement of my board has been approved, but instead of sending mine in they asked me to send them a video where I destroy it and once that is reviewed they'll ship out replacement within a couple of days.

Their own email stated multiple times that replacement was approved and ready to ship once they got the video but also this important piece of info:

If the exact product is out of stock, we will provide a replacement product of equal or better performance.

I was like, okay, weird way to get a replacement but whatever. I sent them the video. They replied to me couple days later and suddenly they have no stock available and can only offer a refund of what I had originally paid years ago.

Has anyone here had similar experience with their warranty support? This has been my first NZXT product and as well as the first time interacting with their support.

What should I do? I have a feeling I'm getting screwed either way.

thats insane. id be raging. you need to speak to a manager about that. in 0% of cases, should they be doing inventory checks after the customer destroys their product. thats wilddddd

I mean yeah that sucks that they're not offering an upgrade despite saying so, but a full refund isn't that bad for a motherboard...Not like motherboard costs have changed much over the last 3 years. Now if this was for RAM, storage, or a GPU, yeah I'd be belligerent.

If the refund upsets you, then just use the refund to buy an equivalent board from another brand and move on.

Take the cash and move on with your life. There are no more warranties on computer components. It is happening to everyone.

I had a power supply shit out and they gave me a tier up after I shipped it to them. Took forever tho so I still just bought a power supply before I ever got the replacement.
