Which one is the most cost effective choice for a long term use?

My wife and I have been wanting to get a PC as a wedding gift to ourselves.
We finally saved up enough (Budget is 2500) to get it but we've no idea what to look out for.

Does anyone have any single clue what this could be as it's sending me absolutely insane.

I don't even care that it's different or that mine looks like this as i have zero issues whatsover in games that i play,

The only reason i noticed was because i was watching his stream setting up the game to help and was just watching him play for a bit and thinking to myself "his game looks so nice and crisp. i wasn't even thinking anything of it just assumed it was me watching his stream. until i decided to jump on and jump on the same map.

I'm running 1440p 240hz, he's running 1080p 320hz but 240hz in game,

We have the exact same game files (i sent him my game to make it easier for him to set up).

We have the same graphics card (4060 8gb, could be a different manufacturer, ill try to find out)

We have the same drivers.

Same exact game settings. (including resolution set the same to test,

Same exact windows settings (only im on windows 10 vs him being windows 11 as i refuse to use windows 11). (also including the same resolution)

Same exact nvidia settings.

I've tried absolutely everything that i can think of.

I've tried absolutely everything the internet suggests. (not using AI but actual research, forums ect.)

I'm almost starting to suspect it could be a vram issue which I'm not stressed about but just would like to know

(my vram is nowhere near maxed out with our settings tho)

I'm pretty tech savy and it's really racking my brain and i wish i never watched his stream.

I've gone through and cleared all of my shaders in both the game files and actual shader cache, including disk cleanup

if this isn't the place to ask, could i please be guided to the right place.

I had to remove one of my case fans because it was blocking my 9070 from fully seating on the motherboard. What should I do? Do I need to buy a new fan? Can I leave it like this or just fully remove it? Thanks!

I'm a little pissed off, I've had a NZXT Motherboard for a bit and it developed some issues that took me a while to pinpoint. I contacted NZXT as it was within the 3 year warranty still and it took a few weeks of back and fourth until they told me in writing that replacement of my board has been approved, but instead of sending mine in they asked me to send them a video where I destroy it and once that is reviewed they'll ship out replacement within a couple of days.

Their own email stated multiple times that replacement was approved and ready to ship once they got the video but also this important piece of info:

If the exact product is out of stock, we will provide a replacement product of equal or better performance.

I was like, okay, weird way to get a replacement but whatever. I sent them the video. They replied to me couple days later and suddenly they have no stock available and can only offer a refund of what I had originally paid years ago.

Has anyone here had similar experience with their warranty support? This has been my first NZXT product and as well as the first time interacting with their support.

What should I do? I have a feeling I'm getting screwed either way.

I keep hearing from lots of people that PC part prices aren't expected to go down anytime soon. Lately my favorite newest release games are really struggling to run on my PC which I haven't upgraded since the first time I built it with my uncle over 10 years ago.

I wanted to see what people's advice would be on what to upgrade first in this current market. Here's my parts below

• GPU: RTX 2060
• CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X
• RAM: 32 GB DDR4
• Motherboard: MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI
• Monitor: MSI G27C5 (1080p 144hz)

Before I get the "why didn't you upgrade sooner" comments, I don't come from a particularly well off family and previously the only games I really played were sandbox games or shooters with friends which weren't very intensive on my pc. Lately my favorite games have been soulslike and graphically intense single player games which is why I'm looking to upgrade now that I have some income.

So I had a problem with icue software and finally resolved it but while I was at it i thought I look around on my pc.

So I open Nvidia app and go to settings to double check the settings and lo and behold after last update i see AI Agent setting and it’s ON.

So I google what it is and found that an AI Agent can remotely connect to your pc if you need help.

I’m thinking like WTF, I don’t want anyone connecting to my machine without my say so, come on man this ain’t cool 😂

So I Built my first gaming PC 7 years ago with an I5 9600K and an RTX 2070, 16 GB ram and 1TB Sata SSD.

The only upgrades I’ve made to the computer in the ensuing years is doubling my RAM to 32GB and Getting an NVME SSD

I’m looking to get a new computer comparable to what I made 7 years ago in terms of build and performance and lifespan.

Computer has been having this issue for a while and I finally got a video of it doing this. It only lasts for a frame video-wise so I'm wondering what I can do to remedy this.

When I first starting seeing these videos on shorts, describing what was going on. I dead ass thought it was a joke, I thought it was some modders screwing around and trying to start a rumor Onion style.

But no, no this is a real thing that's actually happening and the implications are kind of breaking my brain a little bit. Like, how is minecraft working in GTA? Both games have completely different physics engines! I don't understand how you can have both in one game with out constant crashing and conflicts. Full disclosure, my understanding of coding in general is limited, but for real, how is this suddenly a thing?

And then there's the whole situation with PS5 OS operating on a PC, but having full support for Ps2 and Ps3 games with the discs? Like, HUH? Why would putting an OS on different hardware suddenly change its functionality? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I have been in the IT industry for a few years. But this is showing me just how little I really understand about how software works.

And hell. I can’t even begin to comprehend what we the people could do with our home PCs and "open sourced" versions of the biggest software brands out there.

I have posted in here about my rig getting a buildup of a sort of resin from dabs and I was trying to find a solution. should I use carbon fiber over my fans? I see something saying it will make the heat in my pc go up but it will keep smoke out. I dont want to take extra steps or do something that will ruin my pc if I can avoid it. someone said I should put the pc on a platform on the floor under my desk. other people said sploof. im assuming they mean with a carbon fiber filter and not just a dryer sheet. which of these options is the best? im worried about putting filters over my fans. would an air filter work? what kind? would i need to replace the filters way too often? i smoke about half a gram a day.

I'm just wondering if anyone here knows if this is a good choice or if I should be looking at a different PC and if so what would be some alternatives

Inspected to make sure everything is fine, the last picture, right cable the pins are angled and not straight it’s hard to tell. They look out of place, is this normal or should I replace these?

My son has been saving up some money, and I’ve put in some too, to build/buy a pc. I want to make sure he’s getting something worth the value, and that’ll last at least 4-5 years. He likes to/wants to be able to play flight simulator, Ark ascended, Minecraft, and cyberpunk well on 1440p, maybe in future some 4k as well. I’ve looked with him at these couple options, but I’m not super knowledgeable on the subject matter and would like outside opinions on switching up parts, compatibility, buying or building, and the longevity of these two. Any help or guidance is much appreciated🙂

I’ve been seeing a lot of clips of dlss5 and I would love to play games with it. I’m buying a pc soon and I want to know is there a big difference between the two using dlss5 ? Thanks 😀
