smoking around pc

I have posted in here about my rig getting a buildup of a sort of resin from dabs and I was trying to find a solution. should I use carbon fiber over my fans? I see something saying it will make the heat in my pc go up but it will keep smoke out. I dont want to take extra steps or do something that will ruin my pc if I can avoid it. someone said I should put the pc on a platform on the floor under my desk. other people said sploof. im assuming they mean with a carbon fiber filter and not just a dryer sheet. which of these options is the best? im worried about putting filters over my fans. would an air filter work? what kind? would i need to replace the filters way too often? i smoke about half a gram a day.

Brother, it think the easiest way to not get "resin" on your computer, is to just keep the pc somewhere where it gets the least amount of smoke in it.

And if you get "resin" in your computer case, airflow should be the second thing you should be worried about.

You don't. You don't have to smoke. You don't need to have a desktop dab rig. You could setup abduct fan to exhaust the dab smoke out of your house, you could setup your computer to intake outside air. You could move your computer to another room and run cables to your peripherals.

I suspect whatever you rig as far as filtering the intake on the computer will be insufficient. A carbon filter won't do much of anything for tar, which is the resin. You would need a much beefier HEPA setup, which will destroy all airflow to your case without specialty fans.

Your computer consumes a lot of air. If you're smoking in the room residue will accumulate one way or another. Happened even when I was vaping. Your best bet is just to smoke somewhere else or open a window

Holy moly dude just looked it up, yeah I guess not feasible to move what looks like a whole ass chemistry set.

Your case manufacturer may make intake filters, but those are really only for dust. I dont think they will be sufficient for smoke or resin particles. Its worth a shot to see if it at least slows down the buildup. 

Besides opening a window, you could also look into a recirculating hepa air purifier to blow the smoke into. You could also try a soldering fume absorber.

A much better solution is to get a ac infinity or similar exhaust fan and carbon filter setup. Run it when you smoke.

You can either do the exhaust fan into the filter standing up, and blow towards that area, or even use a 4 inch duct tube to blow into. Like the carbon filter on the ground, vertical, with the fan on top, basically pushing air down into the filter.

instead of tell you not to smoke and game which is like half the fucking fun, imma provide real advise.

move the pc by a window and install a small exhaust fan thats coverable against the elements, think attic fans. run it while smoking.

put a fan between you and the pc blowing directly at you so the smoke goes away from the pc and dissipates some before going into the case.

last option, and this is my personal fav. Ghost every hit so there is no smoke.

Smoke buddy or sploof would work just fine but you'd go through them quick like me. I just live with it.. as a consequence of my own actions. My last pc survived 7 years of 24/7 being on and an oil refinery of smoke blown through it. It still works, just sticky as hell.

I blow clouds of dank smoke and vape fumes right near the intakes. It's not a big problem if you keep up on cleaning your PC, especially in the amounts you're saying you smoke. Vaping is definitely worse, it makes everything tacky, but I just use iso alcohol on the fan blades after I blow the loose dust out. It's either keep up on cleaning, or don't smoke or vape in the same room as your PC.

Place a small fan next to your window if you have one in your room and blow the smoke into the fan leading out the window. That's what I did when I smoked weed.
