Swampfest is on this weekend !!

Lots of cool original bands playing, including some youth bands and some familar faces.

Judging by the line up it'll be a mix of indie, pop, punk, hardcore, and other rock. Plus other genres im sure. There will be some food trucks and stalls too.

The venue is The Stomach on Lombard Street. Saturday 17 October.

$20 ticket. Kids under 12yo are free.

the Stomach is an all ages venue and is drug and alcohol free.

What do you do? And what do you make?

I'm looking for ideas

Loud bangs every 5 seconds for the last five minutes near Vogel St. Got work tomorrow ffs.

Can I please have suggestions on where to buy a good pie in Palmy

Does anyone know what the plans for palmy are?

A Cityfitness over in Cloverlea would look pretty good I reckon.

Who's got the juice's gossip in palmy without saying names?

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I have been offered SHO jobs at Palmerston North hospital to start next Jan. For context, we have both completed UK foundation training in August and always planned to move to either Aus/NZ after completion.

We are thrilled about the job offers, but would also like more information about the hospital and working environment by someone who has ideally worked there recently. Appreciate any advice or information anyone can give us before committing.

Thanks in advance!

Is being self absorbed easier then having empathy?

UPDATE: They're open, and they're pretty good! The Opening Special is 30% off all sushi and onigiri until the 17th.

We had a good selection including ebi sushi, takoyaki balls (with actual bits of tako, and not just pulped), and against my better ethical judgement, the unagi sushi, because my palate appears to have more power over my brain than my moral centres. Had a good lunch, and with the 30% discount we spent $22.50 for two people's lunch, so all in all quite reasonable prices.

Disclosure: I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I've just been walking past their closed "opening soon" door for months. I want them to succeed so there's a sushi shop within walking distance of my house.

A: When someone is killed. And only then, maybe.
We’ve lost count of the number of crashes at this intersection. This one today saw an old lady trapped in her (white) car after the blue car shot straight through the stop sign like it wasn’t even there.

Hope you are all planning on making some art trail stops this weekend to support local artists with a friendly face. Studios are open from 10 am til 4pm.

I'll be based at Square Edge working on some mixed media pieces, and it would be great to see loads of people coming through. As well as demonstrating how I work I'll have some work available, including a few bargains...

Stop in and have a chat over the weekend!

Anyone interested in playing to summer soccer tonight.
We have a work team but have a few people away. PM me if you are keen, any skill level is fine.
We all suck anyway.

I walk past this every day, and there's been a poster on the door "coming soon" for months now. Apparently they were waiting for the council red tape brigade to approve the final mods, as it used to be an office before this, and now a food outlet. I don't know the full detail, and that bit is hearsay at this point.

But we met the owner outside, and apparently tomorrow it will finally open.

She mentioned there might be opening specials but wasn't sure yet. I guess we're having sushi for lunch tomorrow then!

I currently drive a Toyota Highlander V6, I’m thinking about looking for something a lil cheaper to run.I don’t drive far but I do use it every day.I like having the 7 seats as we use my car as the family car when we go away as a family of 5, including 3 teenagers.I LOVE driving a big car so would probably want to stick to a SUV.I do like the look of the latest Outlanders, any recommendations?

I was insecure before....

Why is it changed ??
