Trading Zone Buy/Sell/Trade Thread - October 2026

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a recent date.

If you have some gear sitting around that you would like to sell or trade, list it below. Items you can list include bags, travel clothing, and items that would go well in a onebag. If something is clearly outside of these categories it will likely be removed. Only list items that you are personally selling, and don't just link to a website for sale.

AUTHENTICATED IMAGE

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a date. For example a piece of paper on top of the item, including your username and recent date. Sales posts without this will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned. If the seller is not willing to post images to this thread do not proceed with the transaction.

POST SAMPLE

Post titles should look something like this: WTS - Osprey Porter 30L - $XX

Each post should begin with one of the following:

  • WTS (want to sell)
  • WTB (want to buy)
  • WTT (want to trade)

Include details about the pack or item. Size, condition, price, location, picture links, etc. If trading, list a few of the possible items you're looking for. Be sure to mention what country you are in, so potential buyers are aware.

TRANSACTION SAFETY TIPS

Be aware that there are scammers active on Reddit, and on this sub-reddit. Any transaction comes with some risk -- decide whether the risk is worth it to you. The following tips can help reduce that risk.

  • Be wary of new accounts with no posting history. You are entering into a personal transaction which is entirely between you and the buyer/seller. It is entirely up to you to do your due diligence to ensure a smooth transaction.
  • Before entering into private chat with a buyer/seller ensure both parties respond directly to a comment below. This ensures respondents pass basic posting requirements, and provides an initial log of any discussion. This goes for all transactions. The more eyes on a transaction the better.
  • If you are using Paypal, use "Goods and Services". Never pay using the "Friends and Family" option. You lose a lot of leverage with Paypal when contesting F&F transactions.
  • Google search the username. Scammers are often active in multiple sub-reddits; a search might reveal a pattern of behavior. The Universal Scammer List, and r/sneakermarket/banlist are good resources providing some supplemental background to the people you're dealing with. Obviously this should not be your only source, but it can offer some great insight.

Packing List 2.5 Months in AU + NZ

Hi! I’m traveling in Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand until Jan - surfing, cities/going out, Halloween, tramping, farm work. I also shoot photography and the most difficult part about my setup was my inability to sacrifice my DSLR or my film SLR. Oops :).

I’ve haphazardly one-bagged with an optimized-for-budget-airline-personal-item backpack before (that was kinda cray too bc it was Rome, Malta, and then hut-to-hut hiking in the Asturias), but this is my first time really planning it out. I’m currently on my flight to Australia — so no harsh feedback if possible on reorganizing or I will cry. Just kidding. My plan is to cheat and unpack stuff into the 22L daypack if needed (this bag is quite tight as u can imagine), but I needed to start with it all in one for my ego. I’ll come back and update how it all went in January.

Bags:
Osprey Fairview 40L (got it for $60 in re-store)
REI 22L Daypack (packed into my 40L)
Uniqlo Fanny Pack

Clothing:
1 long-sleeve
3 t-shirts
2 tanks/camis
1 SPF long sleeve button-up
7 socks (3 merino, 4 synthetic)
7 underwear (synthetic)
2 sports bras
2 swimsuits (bikini, one-piece)
3 shorts (bike, run, hike)
1 pair of rain pants
1 pair of brown culottes
1 black slip dress
1 buff
1 bandana
2 hats (sunhat, beanie)
1 pair of trail runners (la sportiva bushido iii)
1 pair of chacos
1 pair of gloves

Plane outfit:
1 pullover fleece
1 tshirt (out of 3 total)
1 Cotopaxi pant
1 rain shell
1 pair of running shoes

Tech:
1 DSLR camera w/ 18-55mm kit lens (a sacrifice for space, I wanted to bring my 17-55mm f/2.8)
1 film SLR w/ 50mm f1.8
1 extra SD card, 2 batteries, a charger
1 PD camera mount for backpack straps
1 garmin watch charger
1 USB to USBC charger
1 adapter
1 portable charger
1 mini flat iron

Gear:
1 hydration bladder
1 spork/collapsible bowl
2 knee protection thingies
1 foldable hiking pole
1 reusable plastic waterbottle
1 running belt
2 locks
1 microfiber towel
1 packable tote

Toiletries:
1 toiletry bag - toothbrush, toothpaste, dr. Bronners bar soap (for my laundry too), soap bag, moisturizer, hairbrush, hair ties, contacts, extra contacts in separate bag
1 liquids bag - shampoo, conditioner, face wash
Handful of Pads & tampons
1 small makeup bag - i like to reuse contact lens cases to store lipstick & stuff
1 small jewelry bag
1 First aid kit

In my fanny pack:
1 pair of sunglasses
1 AirPods
1 Ear plugs
Passport
Wallet
Sleeping eye mask
2 rolls of film
1 journal

Not pictured:
1 rain cover
1 trash bag
1 small packing cube
1 large packing cube
2 carabiners
1 hand sanitizer

PS enjoy this extra pic of me planking with it on, since my ROTC friend said you have to be able to plank a minute with your bag on to justify the weight.

PPS I do care about style so it was so hard to forgo variety (and I know, I don’t NEED three pairs of shorts), but I think it’ll be a fun challenge

PPPS what I WOULD like advice on is how to use stuff I already have, instead of buying more (I.e. making a rubber clothesline out of rubber bands or something. Feel like specific things are marketed (I bought and returned sealskinz) and I don’t realize I don’t need that hyper-specific item. This way I can reduce the weight of my pack & have more multipurpose items.

Seeking Recommendations Help! 3XL Merino Recommendations

• Upvotes

I’m looked far and high, close and low. I can’t seem to locate a lightweight merino hoodie or equivalent that’s 3xl. I’m a stocker guy 5’ 11 260 lb. I’m around the 44 waist size. Everything either runs up to 2xl or the 3XL dimensions falls short of a typical 3x for bigger folk.

I’m can easily run warm but want someone to regulate my temperature during my travels to climates where AC isn’t as abundant as in the USA (looking at you, Europe 😂)

Anyone put here have any recommendations for a lightweight merino hoodie (or pullover) for air travel?
I travel in about a week, so I’m almost out of time.

Thank you in advance!

Packing List How do you organise your packing cubes?

Context: A month trip from already traveling. Cold weather but not too much snow.

Question:

How do you pack your clothes? Do you put your tops together, bottoms together, underwea/socks together. Or do you put things together that match like shorts and singlet or formal things, or inside clothes.

(Of you are comfortable with it mention your gender as I think it may play apart, as a dude I don't really plan outfits)

Have to leave where I am, but going on the road for a bit and can't work out what will be best. Usually I sort by types but then at a hostel have to open 3 packing cubes.

TIA

Travel-size skincare (enough for one night)

2 bank cards (one main card and one backup)

Packing List Three weeks in Indonesia with the Pakt Cero 35L

Thumbnail

Hey everyone. I want to share my packing list and what I've taken on a three week trip to Indonesia.

For the backpack I'm using the black Pakt Cero 35L. It's the perfect fit for me and the 1kg weight really helps with strict airlines here in Asia. Also it's a nice X-Pac like material and is fully featured.

For the camera cube I'm using a Pgytech cube which exactly fits my Canon R7 with sigma RF 16-300 lens and DJI mini 2 fly more kit. Also I got extra accessories like a Peak design capture clip, SD card adapter, headlamp and powerbank.

In the peak design large camera cube i have all my clothes. 4 pair of pants (swim shorts, sport pants, 2 shorts) and I'm wearing one long pants. I also carry 6 T-shirts (mix of cotton, Merino etc) in there.

In the medium cube I carry my towel, underwear and socks. Around 4 socks, 7 pieces of underwear and the towel is microfiber, but pretty big.

For the rest I got my Beuchat glass, snorkel, underwater case from Telesin, lightweight umbrella, extra mini towel, a small pillow from trekology, Hikeman camera pouch which can also function as sternum strap.

In the front i carry my anker charger with universal port flexibility and a long Usb-c cable.

I'm so happy with this setup as it literally fits everything, is comfortable enough and flexible enough. I like that the bag has 2 sides so I can organize accesoires from clothes etc.

What do you think?

Packing List Packing for thailand

So we just got back from oahu and got some useful info for our trip next year to thailand

Some things I learned:

  1. my athleta pants did not do well in humidity, even though they did fine in hot weather at home

  2. my linen shirt and bluffworks long sleeved shirt worked well, so I can bring/wear those

  3. my keen sandals trapped rocks while I was in the water and injured my foot, so looking into getting the speedo surfwalker pro water shoe instead. It looks to be lighter than my sandals, so extra plus

  4. I ordered a macabi skirt and some linen joggers and I’ll wear the joggers and pack the skirt.

  5. Our waterproof case that we used to hold phone, hotel key etc worked great and will be coming with us again.

  6. I’m looking into a balaclava for when we go swimming to avoid needing to wear sunscreen, but I could just continue to wear my very protective coolibar hat instead.

  7. My current clothes cube is about 6x7 and it’s a little awkward holding my nightshirt and all the clothes stuff. It looks like an overstuffed sausage. Contemplating a bigger cube.

So looking into airline requirements, the carry on /personal will be limited to 7 kg. Luckily, I have practice staying under, though my partner may struggle as he wants to bring his steam deck etc

Discussion 3.5 weeks across Turkey, Malaysia & Japan

Most of my trip will be in Malaysia/Japan, Istanbul is a small layover for 4 days. I'll be travelling from Oct 30th - Nov 25th. I know it gets cold there and I'm not sure if my set-up covers all of this.

Backpack: Aer Travel Pack 4 35L (x-pac if it matters)

Clothes:
2 merino tees
3 cotton tees
3 pants - Chinos, joggers and linen pants (need advise here)
1 thick Uniqlo hoodie
8 underwears
8 pairs of socks
bellroy lite sling (7L)
Packable puffer jacket (Uniqlo)
Packable rain jacket (columbia)

Tech & Toiletries:

Battery bank, universal plug and some cables
toothbrush, small toothpaste tube (dont need much else)
Small med bottle

  1. Regarding the bellroy lite sling, do you guys think its worth it to swap it for a osprey packable backpack or bring both?
  2. How about the pants? What do you guys normally bring for those?
  3. Do you think the packable puffer + uniqlo hoodie is enough for the cold in Japan/Turkey?

Discussion anker 165 W 25000 mAH and flying

I purchased the Anker 165w battery bank and I am concerned now about having it taken away from me at security at various airports, especially in different countries other than Canada or the US even though it is 100w max as it is spread out over multiple ports.

Has anyone had any issues with this?

Discussion Light Down Puffer VS Fleece

I travel lightweight (7-9Lb.) and can't justify both unless it is cold winter conditions.I know the warmth to weight ratio favors the puffer and the breathability favors the fleece. I have brought both in the past. For non winter weather travel, what do you prefer?

Seeking Recommendations How do you guys manage to onebag with camera stuff?

So I'm used to onebag anywhere around Europe, but recently I got myself into photography and I got a sony a6700 paired with a somewhat long 17-70mm. I want to still onebag but adding all of the camera stuff makes it even harder.

I would just bring camera and lens, and then stuff like batteries, chargers and so on.

The thing is that camera bags are way over most cheap airlines limits. For example I have a Shimoda sidecountry which I love but it definitely wouldnt pass as a personal item. I thought about using a camera sling I already have from k&f concept as a camera cube inside the bag, then I know the camera is protected plus I can actually use the sling at my destination if I don't want to carry the whole backpack.

Thing is, this is still quite bulky and if I add clothes and everything else, it's a tight fit.

So I just wanted to ask how do you guys onebag with camera equipment. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Seeking Recommendations Recommendations for a Brazilian newbie

Hey guys, hope you are all doing great!

I am new here and I am just fell in love with the idea of avoid overpacking, something that I do really well 😂

I will be spending 1 week in Rome and another one in Switzerland in late November early December, which means around 12C degrees in Rome and close to 0 degrees in Switzerland (Even less on top of the mountains)

I am looking for recommendations of tshirts and pants that can be reused throughout the trip. The biggest problem that I am facing is the Brazil has some limitations regarding products availability. For example, merino wool is not common here, also we don’t have official Patagonia stores here, just retailers. Uniqlo also is not an option here :( Welcome to a third world country 😂

Any recommendations? Where are the Brazilian folks to help me here?

Btw I already bought a huge waterproof jacket from Columbia and a pair of fleeces

Updates: Thanks for all the clarification! The main question now is: Besides merino and cotton, what are the materials that you guys recommend for tshirts that I can use 2 or more days in a row without wash? Looks like gym/hiking clothes are not the best for this, right?

Gear Patagonia Mini MLC compression straps mod

Thumbnail
gallery
81 Upvotes

I bought the bits and pieces to make these simple compression straps for my Mini MLC a while ago but just got round to posting them.

Can't recall where I picked up this idea from, it may well have been another post in this sub. But between posts here and in r/myog I managed to identity the parts I needed.

In my case I picked up these:

- 2x 15mm right g-hooks: https://www.adventurexpert.com/product/aluminium-curved-g-hook-right/

- 2x 15mm left g-hooks: https://www.adventurexpert.com/product/aluminium-curved-g-hook-left/

- 4m 15mm webbing (so I can make longer straps in the future if desired): https://www.adventurexpert.com/product/backpack-strap-webbing-polyamide/

- 4x 15mm strap keepers (though I've stopped using these for now): https://www.adventurexpert.com/product/strap-keeper/

Getting the hooks through the smaller final eyes of the lash points is a bit fiddly and takes some persuasion, but has worked every time I've needed to add/remove them. You could go for intermedia sewn points but you'd lose some throw on the compression strap.

Ideally I'd have the strap fixed at one end, but I couldn't see an easy, no-sew way to achieve that. This works and is totally reversible e.g. if I needed to check the bag and wanted to avoid excess straps flapping around.

Hope it's useful to others with this bag.

Gear Finally got my 2–3 day work trips down to one bag

I’ve been trying to get my 2-3 day work trips down to one bag. I used to bring a backpack for my laptop and a small suitcase for everything else, which now feels kind of unnecessary. I’ve been using roller backpack lately. The bagsmart been working pretty well for this. I just keep my laptop and work stuff in the front and put my clothes behind it. I can usually fit everything I need without having to really think about it.

The wheels were actually the reason I gave it a try. I wasn't sure I'd use them much, but the fact is when I have to walk a long way with it or the bag gets really heavy, the wheels are 100% lifesaver. And when I need to carry it, I just use it as a regular backpack. It really helps take the edge off the fatigue and travel anxiety.

Packing List 2 Weeks in Europe Packing List: Tell me what I am missing

Going on a 2 week trip with 3 of my buddies (All of us between 27 and 30 M) across Europe (Amsterdam, Munich, Innsbruck, Zurich, Paris). We are mostly staying in Hostels along the way, though since there is 4 of us we booked private rooms in Hostels. This is the first trip like this that any of us have been on before so would love some advice on what I am bringing

Bag: Cotopaxi Allpa 42L

Pants:

  • 3 pairs of stretch/hiking pants (navy/black/khaki)
  • 1 Pair of Jeans (worn on plane)
  • 1 Pair of thermals

Shirts:

  • 3 Short sleeve T shirts
  • 2 Long sleeve T Shirts
  • 1 Waffle knit long sleeve
  • 1 Flannel/Button down
  • Unsure what I will wear on plane but likely another long sleeve T or Waffle knit

Other Clothes:

  • 4 Pairs merino wool socks + 1 worn
  • 5 pairs underwear + 1 worn
  • 1 Beanie
  • 1 pair athletic shorts, mostly to sleep in
  • Thin puffer jacket (might wear/carry on plane but does fit in bag)
  • Packable rain coat
  • Boots (worn, Jim Green African Rangers)

Electronics etc:

  • Legion Go S (I know this is a lot of bulk and weight to carry everywhere)
  • Power bank
  • Earbuds
  • EU Plug adapter
  • USB-C Charger for LeGoS that I will use to charge everything
  • Eye mask to attempt to sleep on redeye flight to Amsterdam
  • Few sets of foam earplugs

Toiletries:

  • Bar shampoo/body wash in a Matador bag
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Small thing of Leukotape
  • Tin with gummy vitamins + Melatonin
  • Microfiber towel
  • Nail Clippers

Maybe a few other bits and bobs in there that I am forgetting (outside of the obvious stuff like passport, phone, etc) but I believe that is the bulk of it.

Anything I am forgetting here or is not worth bringing? I am sure the biggest one that jumps out is the LeGoS since it is kinda gigantic in the scope of a trip like this but I am looking forward to gaming on the plane, friends are going to bring some mini bluetooth controllers so we can play mario party and whatnot if we get bored on trains too so I think it is worth the extra weight and bulk.

Sorta considering bringing a small sling bag to put the LeGoS and all the other things I would want easy access to while planing/training into, but it all fits comfortably into my main bag so unsure if the added convenience is worth.

All of that comes out to ~22lbs and fit pretty comfortable in my Allpa 42L, honestly think I could get more in but figure that is extra room for anything I pick up along the way. Very quickly realized I was more worried about bag weight than I was volume.

Will be my first time staying in hostels as well so happy to take any advice on that front too!

Looking forward to any critiques or advice!

Gear Compact Over The Ear Headphones - Evergoods CTB26?

I usually use AirPods or Shokz bone conducting headphones, but I am doing my first long international flight (12 hours to Tokyo). I can't wear the earbuds for that extended amount of time, so I am thinking about getting a pair OTE Headphones. I will be traveling for two weeks to Japan with the EG CTB26 and a small sling. It is already going to be tight, but the CTB26 has miracle pockets so I am hoping I can fit a pair.

What brand and model pack the best? I want good sound quality, but doesn't have to be the best. Top priority is compact for one bag, noice cancelling, comfortable, and then sound quality.

Seeking Recommendations Lighter Packing but with Performance: TNF Triclimate Vs Montbell Jackets

Hi all

I'm looking to streamline my packing for future travels, particularly when it comes to outerwear.

I've always used TNF Triclimate jackets have some have lasted me over 5/6 years but the recent ones seem much lesser quality with seams falling apart after a couple years. Also the mesh inside always and I mean always tears apart.. I like the versatility of a 3-in-1 jacket, but I'm wondering whether separate layers would offer better performance and save space for me. Maybe I have been doing this wrong but always used a outer shell on my Triclimate as a rain jacket and then just put my fleece inside when it gets colder. I come from the UK so it does get somewhat cold in winter but not like other countries.

I'll be travelling around Japan in November, spending time in cities and doing some hiking in Kyushu, so ideally I'm after something versatile enough for hiking, colder temperatures and unpredictable weather without taking up too much room in my bag.

I'm particularly interested in Montbell as I'll be visiting Japan, where their jackets seem considerably cheaper than in the UK.

Has anyone used TNF Triclimate and have alternative options? Is there a noticeable difference in packability, warmth and overall performance? I am also looking for something that is better for rain protection and durability.

Would also appreciate any recommendations for Montbell jackets or combinations that offer a good balance of weight, weather protection and durability.

Edit: budget wise I was looking between £200-£250 for the new alternative which is more than I spend on triclimates.

Cheers

Seeking Recommendations Best Compact Travel Electric Toothbrush with a Round Rotating Head Reccommendations

Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations for a travel electric toothbrush with a round rotating head. My priorities are:

  • A true rotating/oscillating brush, not a manual-style brush that just vibrates
  • Cleaning performance comparable to a regular electric toothbrush
  • Compact, lightweight, and effective
  • Preferably no bulky charging stand
  • Universal charging that's practical for travel in Europe and South America, or a model that uses standard replaceable batteries
  • Reliable enough to last at least 12 months

Ideally, I'd like to keep the cost under AUD $100, though I'd be open to spending a bit more if there's a model that ticks all of the boxes above. If replacement heads aren't easy to find while travelling, I'm happy to stock up before I leave. Noise isn't a concern, and I don't need app connectivity or other smart features.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 😊

Packing List Two weeks with Transporter 26+6 for work and fun

Osprey Transporter 26+6 for 2 week trip

I turned a 4-day work trip into a two-week trip to see family. And with this subreddit being what it is, I challenged myself to one bag it.

For anyone who wants details, I include them at the end. Something to note is I fit all of this stuff without expanding the bag (so this is only 26L), still had room to spare, and it fits perfectly in a personal item sizing bin. The one in the pic is from Southwest.

Originally I had a pair of size 13 running shoes, a white T-shirt, and a nice button-down shirt in the bag too. The only things I would have had to leave out to make it work were the iPad and keyboard. Considering I’m a 280lb man starting to run again, I’ll opt for walking during this trip, and I kept the electronics instead.

Pros about the Transporter 26+6: when the main compartment isn’t filled to the brim (like packing all these clothes plus running shoes), the front compartment is god tier useful. I usually stuff the 5L waist pack in there and pull it out before I take my seat on the plane. The material feels premium. The laptop compartment is roomy! (Again, when the bag isn’t super full)

Cons: Osprey made the exterior so minimal that it’s next to useless. I will be modding the bag and adding some quality-of-life features of my own in the future. I really ought to make some measurements, but my suspicion is the Daylite 26+6 has a larger usable main compartment since the padded laptop section isn’t there. For the potential buyer, it’s a tradeoff worth considering.

And now, without further ado, the rundown:

* In the Eagle Creek Medium Pack-It cube are 7 XXL shirts and two XL shorts. Two shirts are Lucky brand from Costco, and the rest are True Classic T’s because, well, Costco. And they’re “professional” enough for a chill software engineering team.

* The small blue REI Dopp kit holds non-liquid health and hygiene gear including a beard trimmer (having sensitive skin sucks).

* The REI 5L waist bag is my electronics organizer, plus some floss picks, antacids, a 10k mAh charger, USB-C cables, gum, napkins, and some snacks because I strap this bag to my chest during flights. Not pictured is a contacts lens case with spare ADHD meds because no matter how addictive they supposedly are, I WILL forget to take them.

* The Logitech G604 (RIP) mouse is free ballin’ in the bag. There’s also a low profile keyboard in there! It’s safely pinned between the laptop and the packing cube. A dirty clothes bag is laid flat behind the keyboard.

* The gallon sized Costco bag has five XL underwear. The quart sized Costco bag (of course!) has three Darn Tough wool socks. And the other quart sized bag is my liquids container.

* Wooly Yoshi is my travel buddy. He’s fastened I place by a plastic S-biner which is secured to a zipper by an elastic hair tie (because someone always needs a hair tie)

* The infamous front pocket has my multi-port phone/laptop charger, a Sherpa passport wallet for my various needed forms of ID, and a thin beanie/toque at the way bottom.

* The laptop section in the back has my 16” work laptop and an iPad Air. Since there’s so much room still remaining, I’m confident I could have fit a 16” portable monitor, too, but I don’t want to.

* Since Osprey wants the exterior to be minimal, I got clever with my hoodie and wrapped it around the handles — the hood through the top, and the sleeves wrap around the body and through the side handle. I *will* mod this bag eventually.

* JK I already did! I ripped off the little red plastic clip in the front pocket and replaced it with a metal S-biner.

* The wallet is my everyday wallet, an Alpaka

Lastly: the obligatory Hero Clip on the top handle. This one is Medium. Some of yall think it’s overrated, but keeping my personal items off of sticky bathroom floors and not risking hanging the bag on a thin door hook that has 1.5 screws installed makes it all worth it.

You might notice one picture of a bunch of items stuffed at the top of the front pocket. That was from me rapidly dumping my pockets at security.

Any questions? Comments?
