After Majora's Mask last week, I felt like we were gonna get something out of left field, and this is left field enough for me. Though it being an 8-bit soundtrack may disappoint some people.

EDIT: This is actually our largest 8-bit soundtrack to date, and the first one to be over an hour long!

Prior to 1/27/2026, the only the only features our favorite doppelgänger had on the app were Mario Kart tracks and Mario Party Jamboree.

Just under 9 months later, and Wario now has 4 games, more repped on the app than series like

• Mario Party,
• Star Fox,
• Animal Crossing,
• Pikmin

as many as

• Pokémon
• Metroid (not counting Special Release),

and only 1 fewer game than

• Fire Emblem (not counting Special Release) and
• Mario Kart.

Not the character/series I would have expected to get a lot of representation so fast, but I suppose since there's fewer mainline Mario games to add the app's team is starting to fill out other major character playlists. Anyone got guesses for which characters/franchises might see a surge of game representation next year? Or will Wario countinue to grow?

It’s Pokémon Legends Z-A’s 1 year anniversary. I could also see them adding Nintendo Switch Sports to promote its sequel coming out next week.

NES Open Tournament Golf is within possibility too.

The Nintendo Music app just doesn’t work for me when I’m not connected to WiFi. Even if I have the playlists and songs downloaded, the music will just pause as soon as I hit play and is completely unusable. I’ve restarted my phone, logged out, and deleted the app and redownloaded it and nothing works. My brother doesn’t have this issue and is using the app while we’re in the same place and have same level of service. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, has anyone figured out how to fix it? If it’s relevant I have an iPhone 16. Thanks!

I know it’s a niche series the masses don’t care about… but it’s one of my favorites. Additionally, all three games have incredible soundtracks.

I can see them not bothering because the fans just aren’t there (and maybe because a lot of the music is very spoilery?) but every week I try to keep my shred of hope that they’ll add one of them.

Looking for a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate song – need help identifying it
I’m trying to find a specific track from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that played during a regular Smash match against a CPU.
Full description of the song:
• Main instrument: Piano (middle-range notes)
• Main motif: A repeating single piano note/key with clear pauses — sounds like “tung..tung….tung” (or “dun … dun … dun”)
• The three “tung” notes themselves repeat three times, then the rest of the song is different, then it loops back to the three “tung” notes
• The song deliberately becomes less busy / quieter during the piano motif so the piano stands out clearly
• Other instruments present: soft strings
• Overall arrangement: Quiet and not busy
• Mood: Epic and tense, almost holy/sacred feeling
• Strongly reminds me of a Kingdom Hearts song / Yoko Shimomura piano style (but it is not an actual Kingdom Hearts track)
• No vocals
• Plays during regular matches (vs CPU)

Now that Majora’s Mask is on Nintendo Music, I made a playlist full of songs from Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask. Enjoy!

This is our second N64 game this year after fellow 2000 title Paper Mario.

I like to use it occasionally to sleep to. And I don’t remember exactly how many tracks used to be on it, but it doesn’t feel to me like they’ve added any in awhile. That would really bum me out.

But you knew that already. I'm just posting this because it's now officially available.
