[VOTE] Should we create a new rule requiring at least a *rough* description (of at least ONE of the selling points) of your idea in the actual titles of each post?
Bad title:
"My idea for an animated movie..."
Mediocre title:
"My idea for a Tarzan-type animated movie..."
Good title:
"My idea for an animated movie about a character like Tarzan, but he's an alien..."
Great title:
PLEASE VOTE HERE on whether or not this rule should be put in place.

A tech illiterate person who loses his call center job to AI is bored at home and decides to finally try AI for himself.
He chats with AI and learns he can use it to create funny video clips.
He decides to generate a movie about the rise of AI and spends days generating multiple clips allowing the AI to write the story itself.
The AI's story evolves into an arc about a person who lost his job and they story seems to parallel OPs life almost exactly, even incorporating details that the author never told the AI about.
OP is scared but still waits patiently for the AI to generate the next clip to know what his life is about.
The AI's story soon turns dystopian and he laughs it off. Then OP looks out the window and sees the same dystopia.

[MOVIE IDEA] Heart of the Snake — A White Anaconda Reborn with a Human Heart
I have an idea for a supernatural horror movie called Heart of the Snake, set in the Amazon rainforest. The Premise: Two Indigenous brothers become victims of a brutal attack by illegal hunters who slaughter their entire family. After the massacre, the hunters discover a dead white anaconda. Hoping to sell it for a higher price on the black market, they come up with a grotesque idea: they place the heart and brain of one of the murdered boys inside the snake's carcass, believing that an animal containing human organs would be worth a fortune. But something impossible happens. The white anaconda comes back to life. Now, the hunters find themselves being stalked by the very creature they desecrated. The snake begins hunting them through the Amazon, displaying intelligence and behavior that seem disturbingly human. It appears to carry something of the murdered boy within it: his emotional attachments, his grief, and perhaps his desire for revenge. However, this creature has two unusual weaknesses. 1. An unexpected protective instinct The white anaconda never attacks Black people. Instead, it instinctively protects them, behaving as though it recognizes them as members of its own family. The reason behind this strange connection is part of the supernatural mystery. 2. Its attachment to its dead brother Whenever the anaconda encounters its brother's corpse, it coils around the body and refuses to leave. If someone drags the corpse away, the snake follows it, seemingly unable to abandon its brother even while pursuing its enemies. This creates a disturbing vulnerability: the creature's grief can be exploited by the very people it is hunting. The central question: Is the white anaconda still the boy who was murdered, trapped in a monstrous new form? Or has something entirely different been born from the combination of a human body and a serpent's remains? I imagine this as a dark, atmospheric supernatural horror film combining jungle survival, revenge, tragedy, and the mystery of a creature that is terrifying to behold but may still possess the emotional bonds of a human being.
What do you think of this concept? Would you watch a horror movie about a supernatural white anaconda that hunts illegal hunters while remaining emotionally attached to its dead brother?

AYA
I've always loved the acid western, and I had this idea around the time the ayahuasca craze was kinda popular, around 15 years ago
So it's a secret society of native warriors from various tribes around South America, led by the enigmatic matriarch known as "Mother Aya", and they use a special variant of Ayahuasca as a drug to enhance their senses and fight for Justice in South America. The main character uses a pair of Chiappa Rhinos; he nicknames his Los Chapos
So it's an "Ayahuestern"
The main plot centres around a gold town in Guyana and a young Aya warrior, just beginning his journey to the cause is sent to investigate some drug runners and their mysterious leader, who has a history with the Secret Society and Mother Aya herself
So the vibe is El Topo and Walker(1986) mixed with Apocalypto, but with some Equilibrium for the "Gun Kata" and magical realism in the vein of Gabriel García Márquez's books, and there is some John Wick, and it has a "syncretic" Boondock Saints feel to it as well

New Poster for Tooth and Claw, my Dinosaur Movie Idea.
Two new notes I would like to share is that it would have mostly practical effects like Stop Motion, Animatronics and Puppets throughout the entire runtime, using CGI only when absolutely necessary. It would also be rated PG-13. Like the PG-rated Watership Down, however, it would have bloody scenes of creature violence.

Psychological Thriller idea I have been developing for years
Title: "Whispers From Yesterday"
Genre: Psychological Thriller

They drift apart in the aftermath of witnessing the brutal double murder of two classmates that goes cold. 15 years later, they unexpectedly reunite in college only to have their renewed relationship become a problem when they both begin receiving messages from two people claiming to be their murdererd friends from childhood.

Movie Idea I Might Write
So basically, it's a mash up of Unfriended Dark Web and Carrie, sort of, except it's all done in a digital way through cameras.
Basically, some online vigilante or cultish hacker group comes across a video of a girl being bullied(mc) and decides to enforce some of their taste in justice.
While the people that did the incident to the main girl die or disappear, Mc tries to find out what is happening
In the final confrontation, Mc gets offered a choice to join them, and she has to decide if she wants to deliver the final blow or not.

Psychological Horror Idea I got in the shower
The movie is called “One In The Same” or “3*”
Basically centered around three generations living under one roof a grandfather , and a single mother + her 8 year old daughter.
The intro would be them walking together picking up the daughter from elementary school they pass an icecream shop get some icecream and overall paints this picture of a happy family.
The exposition is that the family has been living in Sunvale County for the better part of the daughter’s life and everything is going good until one day she gets a family tree project. She asks her mom and grandpa to tell her about their family’s and she learns her mom was in an accident and lost her memory , and her grandpa is revealed to be her dad’s father. So he helps the daughter (Leah) fill it up. He describes the father as a great man who was a firefighter , very tall and handsome , and loved her mom (Nancy). One day however they were driving home from a night out and got into a car accident , only Nancy survived. This loss was immeasurable and what made it worse at the time is she found out she was pregnant that night. This establishes you as an angel baby who she belives was a gift from the now deceased father.
Rising Action - Leah basically recites this story (we’re framed from the living room to the class) and we see the teacher (Ms Drew) gush and tell the class to quiet down. The kids roast Leah for making up the story and lying about having a dad (because a firefighter tall dad sounds believeable) and that the whole town of Sunvale knows he skipped town on her Mom. (Here we go) in an attempt to prove them wrong , she tells the teacher she wished she had something to show them she wasn’t lying. So she gives Leah a take home DNA kit to find out the truth. She’s goes home to Nancy and Grandpa and tells them about it and she starts crying , Nancy comforts her but it doesn’t help. Leah then tells them about the Take Home DNA test and that she wants some help to prove her dad was a real hero who died in an accident. The Grandpa doesn’t want to do it and says it’ll do nothing but bring hurt to Nancy rekindling her emotional grief. Leah notices a tear go down her mom’s cheek and decides to let it go.
Later that week she goes to the Firestation across Sunvale and asks about her father. They laugh at her and tell her no tall handsome firefighter died in the last 11 years, and shows her a picture of the victims face - (it was Ms Drew’s late husband) she gasps and starts running away crying.
Climax - she sits down to eat with her mom and grandpa and doesn’t bring it up until Ms Drew knocks on the door. She tells Nancy and Grandpa that Leah went down to the firefighters station and told them the story about her dad , she opens up that her husband was a firefighter and that whatever is the cause to Leah’s imagination she needs to know the truth. Nancy looks shocked and says that’s the truth and what Grandpa told her. Suddenly they all look to Grandpa with deep confusion and asks them what is the truth?! Grandpa exclaims “Well , uhh well well I uhh “ excuses and he admits to them the truth. Nancy is not Nancy her name is Patricia Caldwell and she is a missing woman from Whale Creek whom he found under a bridge. One day he saw her and wanted her. So he waited until she fell asleep and carried her to the backseat where he did ungodly things to her and then put her back under the bridge. One day while he did these things she woke up and screamed to which then he slapped her and made her quiet by suffocating her. He put a brick on the cars gas pedal and she crashed. Medical nurses found out she was pregnant with no phone. They had the police run the plates and Grandpa thought he was found out, until Patricia woke up not remembering anything and finding solace in the man. So he lied and kept lying for years eventually welcoming her daughter under the pretense of him being the grandfather. She fed her that lie for years but never thought that it wouldn’t be good enough for Leah. After this he went into the closet and found his shotgun, he said after all these years he’s grown to love his little family and that now it’s ruined. (Camera pans to the outside of the house) he shoots Leah , Patricia , and Ms Drew and with a tear shed he shoots himself. All the gunfire wakes the community and they discover all 4 of them to be dead. The news breaks national headlines as a family homicide and members of Patricia’s family in Whale Creek discover that she had not only been alive for years but had a daughter and they both died before any reconnection could happen. At the end of the movie the news reporter says “The people of SunVale County are having a loss for words as it seems the one who cared for Ms Nancy Weston and the one who let her live in a swirl of lies were One in the Same” .
Conclusion - after the broadcast the people of Whale Creek drive to SunVale to mourn Patricia Caldwell and Leah Weston find that Grandpa, was really Ernest Ketchings a deranged 56 year old man that was wanted for assault and battery as well as sexual harassment in several counties. A court clerk misplaced his file and they subsequently let him free 3 days before he found Patricia Caldwell.

I think it would be awesome if Jeremy Allen White played Gene Wilder in a version of 'Young Frankenstein!!"
But the way that reboots and sequels and stuff have been working,. I don't know if it's a good idea. He definitely said that he would be honored to play Willy Wonka, but how many Willy Wonka movies do we need? And don't get me wrong because it's one of my favorite stories. I like the original 'Charlie and the chocolate factory ' movie

[PITCH] 03:17 — High-Concept Sci-Fi Body Horror / Psychological Thriller NSFW
Writer: Health Sciences Graduate
Title: 03:17
Genre: Sci-Fi / Body Horror / Psychological Thriller
Logline: A stolen bioweapon injected into a rogue agent turns its hosts into painless, relentless predators every night at exactly 03:17 AM. As a serial killer hunts this "perfect form," those infected wake up each morning with no memory of the horrors they committed—unaware that the virus leaves them completely invisible to X-Rays and facial recognition.
The Core Rules (Lore)
Hey everyone! I’ve been working on this high-concept thriller idea for a while and wanted to get some fresh eyes on it.
The main hook revolves around a stolen military bioweapon. When a rogue agent gets cornered in a research facility, he injects himself with it as a last resort. He gets captured and taken into an interrogation room—the ops team keeps him alive to get answers. But at exactly 03:17 AM, the virus overrides his motor cortex. He loses all human consciousness, tears through the room, and the infection spills out into the city.
Here’s how the biological rules work in this universe:
- The virus doesn't grow external masses or tumors. It mimics host cells at a molecular level, meaning infected organs look 100% healthy on X-Rays, CT scans, and autopsies.
- Every night at 03:17 AM, your mind completely shuts off. The virus takes full control of your body. You become a cold, fearless predator with no pain receptors. When you wake up in the morning, you have zero memory of what you did—you just see yourself on the news committing insane violence.
- During the night activation, extreme facial muscle contortions distort your biometric landmarks. Surveillance cameras and AI facial recognition software can't match your night face to your daytime face.
- To stop infected hosts from attacking each other, the virus forces the throat to emit a unique, non-replicable ultrasonic frequency based on your vocal cord structure. Hosts recognize each other and pass by.
- If an infected host gets wounded, the virus drains internal cellular reserves to seal the injury fast. The downside? You wake up in the morning facing brutal metabolic collapse and physical agony. Oh, and for ranged attacks, infected hosts can spit high-pressure viral saliva directly at someone's eyes or mouth to transmit it on the spot.
- The window is strictly 03:17 AM. If interrupted at 03:18, things glitch out and the host loses their edge. The main antagonist is a sadist serial killer who spots one of these "invincible" infected on camera and gets obsessed with getting infected himself to reach the "perfect form." What he doesn't realize is that at 03:17 AM, his sadism and personality won't matter—the virus erases who you are.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the logic and mechanics! Always looking to connect with directors or writers interested in proof-of-concept shorts or feature script

Idea de Found Footage

Parody of rogue AI movies like Terminator or The Forbin Project but the inciting incident takes place in a third-world dictatorship so it's kind of a lateral move
So some expansionist third world dictatorship gets taken over by an insane rogue AI, but the country in question was already ruled by an insane dictator anyway so the people aren't meaningfully worse off because they were already oppressed and the country doesn't have enough mineral resources to kill them all and replace them with robots, nor is the world at large in any more danger because the country was already menacing the world to the best of its abilities, and the humor is driven by this concept that nothing meaningful has changed

An Inception Sequel Concept
Created by Debra A. Bashwinger September 29, 2026
A fan concept. Inception is the property of Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros.
Logline
Years after planting the idea that freed him, Dom Cobb is pulled back into the one thing he swore he was done with: a team of MIT students, half-taught in the technique he made famous, is trapped in a shared nightmare, and their fears are leaking into the real world.
Premise
In the first film, dreams stayed contained. Here they don't. A well-meaning MIT team uses inception with good intentions but gets the sedative compound wrong. They fall past limbo into a layer no one has mapped. Their nightmares bleed into reality: the US economy crashes, wars break out, dictator-like politicians rise, and ordinary people go hungry and homeless. The students aren't dreaming. They're having nightmares, and no one can wake them.
Cast
Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio): now the older, wiser mentor, in the role Michael Caine's Miles once held. He carries the guilt of what his success set loose.
Ariadne: the returning architect who understands the design.
The MIT team: an entirely new cast of five students.
Jason, the leader: pushed the project and carries the most guilt.
Xavier, the chemist: got the sedative compound wrong, so the blame lands on someone specific.
Bryce, the architect: built the Mirror World and believes they woke up.
Sean, the skeptic: the strong, handsome one who wanted to stop and was overruled.
Keely, the youngest: the one Cobb protects, and the one who reminds him most of Mal.
Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt): the returning point man. He does not go into the dream. He stays behind to keep the lab running while the leaks happen around the world, and to keep it safe.
Eames (Tom Hardy): the returning forger. His skills in impersonation, accents, and languages are used in the Mirror World, where he disguises himself as trusted figures to reach the students and break their belief that they have woken up.
Mal: appears only as a projection.
The Layers
The first film went three levels down, with limbo as the fourth. The sequel goes two deeper.
Level 1: Rainy city streets.
Level 2: The hotel.
Level 3: The snow fortress.
Level 4, Limbo: Unconstructed dream space.
Level 5, The Mirror World: A perfect copy of the real world, down to the news broadcasts. The MIT team built it and believes they have woken up. The wars and collapse they see are the nightmares running unchecked. The top spins forever here, so it is the only way to tell it isn't real. Mal's projection insists this is reality.
Level 6, The Core: The team's shared subconscious, where their separate fears have merged into one entity no single dreamer controls. Its architecture is the MIT lab, looping endlessly, and each door opens onto a different student's worst fear. This is where the leak into the real world originates.
The rule: below limbo, dreams stop belonging to individuals. That is why the nightmares can bleed into reality, and why every level costs more than time. It erodes your sense of what is yours.
Opening Scene
Cobb (DiCaprio) sits in his backyard, on the phone with his son, catching up over small talk. It is an ordinary, peaceful afternoon, the kind of life he fought to reach.
He looks up and notices the birds are flying strangely. Then a family of deer runs through his yard.
Flash to the bar, the night before. (See "The Bar" below.)
Back to today. Cobb turns on the news. The anchor sounds like a robot, and the stock market swings up and down for no reason. He recognizes the leaks. Then the phone rings: an MIT scientist has gone into the students' lab and read their work. He found it dangerous and asked around for someone who understands it, and another scientist gave him Cobb's name and number. The call confirms what Cobb already fears.
Cobb flies to Boston. On the way he calls his old colleagues, Ariadne, Eames, and Arthur, and tells them to hurry while planes are still flying.
Soon airplanes are falling from the sky. Ariadne, Eames, and Arthur make it to MIT just in time. A solar eclipse darkens the sky, and mass confusion begins.
The Bar (Flashback)
A loud, fun bar in Boston. The five MIT students are drinking and partying, laughing over the noise. It looks like any celebration, and nothing hints at what is about to happen.
The leader leans in and says quietly, "Not too much fun. Tomorrow's the big day."
The skeptic protests: "It's not ready yet!" The tension breaks and a fight erupts between the students. The youngest, the girl in the group, steps in and stops it. She says she's going back to the lab, and leaves. The others keep partying, then head back to their apartments for the night.
What happens next: alone in the lab, the youngest starts the experiment early. Her dream spreads through the shared compound and the link the team built, pulling the others in one by one as they sleep in their apartments. That is why all five end up in the same nightmare, and why the Core is a shared subconscious no single dreamer controls.
The scene sets up the whole film: the team is brilliant, close, and afraid of their own project. It also plants the seed of the disaster, since the skeptic's warning is ignored and the youngest walks away alone toward the lab while the rest of the team goes home, unaware of what she is about to do.
The Pull
We watch each student fall asleep in their apartment and get pulled into the youngest's dream. Each one arrives awestruck. To them, inception is beyond amazing: a world with no limits, and they cannot stop exploring and having fun. The tone is joyful and wondrous, the opposite of the film's later dread.
Then the youngest, the main dreamer, pulls them down deeper and shows them scarier things. She isn't doing it on purpose. It is her own nightmare, and she cannot control it. She has had nightmares for years and never told the group. Now the dream is hers, so her buried fear becomes the world they are all trapped in. The wonder curdles, and the fun turns into the first nightmares.
This makes her the human center of the disaster, and the clearest echo of Mal: a dreamer whose mind the dream has taken over, and who cannot tell it isn't real.
The students don't abandon her. They explore and battle back alongside her, trying to fight the nightmare as a team. But the dreams grow more vivid and more realistic with every round. Soon they all believe they are in the same single nightmare, and it just keeps going, with no exit and no clear edge between dream and waking life. This is what leads to the Mirror World and, past it, the Core.
The Leak
The audience sees the real world start to bleed, beginning small and eerie, then escalating.
Small and eerie. A commuter sees the same stranger on every train car. A news anchor repeats a sentence word for word, then looks confused. A street in Boston is briefly filled with rain from a cloudless sky. Something from the students' dream shows up in the waking world, with no explanation.
Unsettling. Phone screens show the same false alert at once. People across a city wake at the same moment from the same dream. Animals behave strangely.
Breaking. Markets swing with no cause. Power grids fail. Supplies vanish from shelves.
Devastating. The US economy crashes, wars break out, and dictator-like leaders rise. Real people go hungry, homeless, and fight one another, as if the world itself is having the nightmare.
Who notices. The CIA hunts for inception on its own. Analysts trace the strange events back to a single source in an MIT lab, which is why they show up later demanding the technology.
The escalation matches the students' descent: as the dreams get more vivid, the leak gets harder to dismiss.
The Mirror World (Level 5)
Cobb, Ariadne, and Eames land in a perfect copy of Boston. The eclipse is overhead, the news is on, and the students are in their apartments, certain they woke up. Bryce built this world, so it looks flawless.
The students think the chaos on the news is real, and that the strangers are the odd part. Cobb can't just tell them the truth, because they won't believe him.
Eames at work. He disguises himself as someone each student trusts, planting small cracks in the world with details that don't quite fit. For Keely, he plays her father, Caleb, the one person she trusts most and the one she has never told about her nightmares. Caleb owns his own mechanic shop, is divorced, and lives alone. Keely was always smart, and Caleb knew it. He always pushed her to go to college and make something of her life. She has no fear of him. She wants to be better than him, and that drive is part of why she pushed the project so far.
Keely believes Caleb. In the moment, she never realizes it is Eames. She finally believes her father when he says he is proud of her and she doesn't need to prove anything, and that belief loosens her grip on the nightmare. The crack comes from somewhere else: her own acceptance, not the discovery of a trick.
Afterward. Eames tells Keely the truth: it was him, not her father. But he adds that just because her dad didn't say it doesn't make it any less true, Keely.
Keely is angry for a moment, then starts to cry. Eames gives her a hug.
Cobb's top. He spins it in front of a student, and it never falls, which proves the world isn't real. It also frightens them.
Mal appears. She insists this is reality, just as she once did. It is the first time Cobb sees her since the first film.
The drop. The hug breaks the Mirror World. As Keely lets go, the world begins to fold, and the team is pulled down toward the Core.
Arthur at the Lab
While the team is below, Arthur runs the show in the real world. As the leaks spread and the world panics, the actual FBI arrives at the MIT lab, and Arthur is the one who stops them from reaching the sleepers or shutting the equipment down. The CIA stays in the dream on Level 1, while the FBI is the real-world pressure at the door.
Arthur's weapon: the leak itself. As the nightmare bleeds into the real world, pockets of the lab start to obey dream physics: a hallway where gravity slowly rotates, a room where time runs slow. Arthur maps them and walks the FBI into them. He knows where the floor is, and they don't. It echoes the zero-gravity hotel fight from the first film, but this time the physics bends because of the leak.
Mirrors, part of the same trick. The eclipse darkens the sky while the lab stays lit, so the lab's glass walls and windows turn into mirrors. Add the polished steel equipment and the glossy floors, and the FBI can no longer tell which way the hallway bends. They lose their bearings and walk straight into the gravity pockets.
The stakes depend on the building. The higher the floor, the more dangerous the fight: a hallway where gravity turns sideways is a trap on the ground floor, but on an upper floor a fall can be deadly. As in all of Nolan's films, the violence is real.
Story Outline
Act One. The crisis hits the world. Cobb and Ariadne are summoned to MIT, where the students lie unconscious. Cobb understands inception better than anyone alive, so he knows he must go in, against his better judgment.
Act Two. The descent. Through the Mirror World, Mal's projection tries to convince Cobb it is real. At the Core, Ariadne cannot design: the space rebuilds itself around whoever is afraid.
Act Three, The Core. Cobb does not plant an idea this time. He goes to face his own fear. As he arrives, the lab warps into his memories: the house, the train tracks, Mal at the window ledge. His greatest fear is that he used inception on Mal, and it drove her insane. She came to prefer living in the dream over the real world, and she could never understand that it wasn't real. The Core shows him the students trapped the same way, unable to tell nightmare from reality, and he sees Mal in every one of them. Woven into it is the guilt that these kids are trapped because of him: his success made inception look easy, and every disaster traces back to him.
Mal appears first as the accuser, voicing his guilt. The students, terrified of their own nightmares, watch the most haunted man in the room confront his. They learn what accepting a fear looks like: not fighting it, and not letting it run you.
The turning point. Only after Cobb accepts responsibility, without collapsing under it, does Mal speak. In the first film her lure was "This is our home." Now, in the same voice, with the same warmth and the same tilt of her head, she says:
"Go home to our children."
Only Cobb hears it. The students see only his face as something in him lets go. It is unsettling on purpose: is it forgiveness, or the most convincing version of the old trap? He almost doesn't believe her, then chooses to. Played quietly: no score swell, just Mal at the window ledge, then a long silence.
The students are in the Core with him, each of them fighting their own fear. They watch Cobb confront Mal. They cannot hear what she says, but they see him grow relaxed, and seeing it, they relax too. That release is what wakes them. The Core unravels: doors close, loops break, and the students wake.
Cobb does not wake with them. Neither does Eames, who has been holding the Mirror World together. Their kick, rigged in the real world, fails. Ariadne and the students wake, but Cobb and Eames are left stranded, and the only way out is up through the layers. They climb until they reach Level 1, where the kick stops working.
The CIA Scene (Level 1)
Cobb and Eames arrive on Level 1, where the CIA is waiting. They demand everything Cobb knows about inception. The technology is the prize, and they want it for the US government.
Cobb refuses, and the agents attack. Cobb and Eames fight their way through, but they are trapped: the kick that should have woken them has failed, and it becomes clear the only way out is for them to kill each other.
It is the first film's limbo reunion turned upside down. There, Cobb found Saito and the two woke together. Here, the two men must trust each other enough to pull the trigger, and only one of them does.
Eames shoots Cobb. Cobb cannot shoot Eames. Cobb goes first and wakes in the MIT lab. The students and Ariadne are already standing around him, waiting. They saw him face his fear in the Core, and now they are the ones waiting for him to come back. He realizes it is over: the crisis has ended, the world order is restoring itself, and the CIA never got what they came for.
But Eames has not woken. What he does on Level 1 stays offscreen: the audience knows what he did, and the film does not show it. Instead, the camera shows Cobb, Ariadne, and the students gathered around the unconscious Eames, all of them hoping he gets up. It is the same doubt Cobb carried in the Core: he has to trust that a death in the dream is release.
A minute later, Eames wakes, looks at Cobb, and says: "That was a terrible plan."
It is a moment of relief and humor after the film's heaviest scene, and it reunites the two friends as the first film's ending reunited Cobb with his children.
Note: because the scene takes place inside a dream layer, the story implies the agency has either followed the team down or is already using inception. That fits the film's fear: the technology is spreading whether Cobb likes it or not.
Destroying the lab. With Eames awake, Cobb and Ariadne get to work destroying the MIT lab, the equipment, the compound formula, and every note, so no one can recreate it. As they work, Ariadne asks about Mal. Cobb answers simply: "She's found peace."
He never tells her what Mal said in the Core. The line stays his alone, as "this is our home" always was.
Ending
The closing scene is a still, quiet frame: a bedside table with the totem and a framed family photo of James and Philippa, now grown, with their own children. The first film never showed their faces.
Cobb (DiCaprio) wakes and immediately reaches for the top.
He spins it, then gets out of bed to start his day.
The camera does not follow him. It stays on the spinning top and the photo.
Mal's voice comes in as a voiceover, quiet and close: "You're already home."
As she speaks, the top begins to wobble. In this world, a wobbling top means reality: the spin is losing energy because there is friction here. The film ends on that wobble, before we see it fall.
The words that once trapped him now tell the truth: he is in a real house, and his family is here.
The photo pays off Cobb's arc: the man who feared never getting home is now a grandfather.

The Pitt-parody: The Brad Pitt
Funny idea for a parody: The Brad Pitt. In this morbid-dark comedy movie, losely based on the medical dramaseries The Pitt, evolves around a secretly unlicensed ER-doctor, and is of course played by Brad Pitt.
Due to his sheer incompetence he let's most patients die, but everytime he gets away with it because of his pretty looks, chiseled jawline and charming humor. All the female nurses love him to death and even the female visitors are happy with Brad when he lets their unbeloved unattractive husbands die, just to have some time with Brad Pitt 'comforting' them in the family room.
The male nurses absolutely hate Brad and his popularity and incompetence, but can't say or do anything because Brad is the boss, plus Brad also has a hot and steamy relationship with his supervisor Gloria.
What y'all think of such a parody? What other storylines should be included in such a parody?

Movie idea: Unemployed mathematicians fight back against AI by terrorizing the public with "math harassment"
In the near future, AI has made most mathematicians unemployed. To pressure the government into paying them generous lifetime pensions, they launch a campaign of "math harassment."
They approach random strangers in public places and ask them math questions, deliberately making them feel stupid when they can't answer.
The campaign exploits people's lifelong fear of mathematics, often rooted in humiliating classroom experiences. As the harassment spreads, people become afraid of encountering mathematicians in public.
The mathematicians insist they're doing nothing wrong. They're merely asking questions and promoting mathematical literacy.
Eventually, public pressure forces the government to pay the mathematicians for life just to make them stop.
But then universities report a massive increase in mathematics enrollment.
