Owning a bike without a garage, worth it?

Bought my first bike last April, cashed a brand new one and I've been storing it in my shed whilst having taken care of it like it is my baby. Where I live though in Sweden it is quite rainy all year round and now in the Autumn I have noticed that it has been getting crazy amount of condensation on it even when inside my shed with a cover over it and a few areas have begun rusting already, the brakes & the chain which I cleaned up with WD40 and a microfibre cloth.
I bought some rust prevention wax I intend to spray over all the metal parts and bought a rug with a rubber bottom to have it rest on.

But still, is it really worth to own a bike if it rusts this easily without having a garage or a dry place to store it? I love riding the thing but seeing rust after only 6 months of ownership with very tame riding doesn't feel very good.

Appreciate any advice to prevent if from rusting more.

I FEEL LIKE A LOSER

i decided to work from home today because i was afraid to ride through a relatively dangerous mountain pass (the cajon pass in so cal) experiencing 40mph sustained winds with up to 70mph crosswind gusts.

Most people i see on bikes through this mountain pass seem a lot braver than me, and i bet they are out there today. But i (50 year old on a suzuki gsx 8T) chickened out. We lose riders all the time there.

Now i feel like such a loser.

Is 40mph with gusts to 70mph thaaaaaaat bad?

Freerider game

Hello guys, I and not a rider but I love motorcycles hopefully I am going to get my licence soon but because I can't ride yet I have been working on a free rider game and i'm really trying to nail the physics of the game. You can play it on controller and its still early development but would some of you be down to tell me what you think of the physics and how it realistic it feels to actually ride. and any feedback would be phenomenal. Also its a browser game so you dont need to download anything

Rear ended at a light... tips for recovery welcomed!

This morning, as I was heading out to lunch, I stopped at a light since there was a lot of traffic and there wasn't enough space for me to cross the gap without bothering the cars coming from the side when their light would be green. The gentleman behind me had the opposite idea and floored his Mercedes and rammed me, throwing me over the bars, and I found myself on the floor... luckily, a lot of people were quick to aid, kept me on the floor (because my stubborn ass wanted to get up to check my bike), and called for help.

The police and ambulance came; they were super nice and checked me, and I have nothing broken, thanks to ATGATT, and they had my bike on its way to Ducati Geneva (probably needs a new subframe), but I am super sore and was wondering if you have any tips for me... Tomorrow, I have a physical therapy session for my knee and was wondering if I still should go, despite being very sore.

I also needed to share my story... I hope that is ok.

Quiz: What's wrong with this wheel?

Had a giggle at my front wheel this morning, with its clock hand arrangement of store bought and home made counter weights.

There is a problem with it. I spotted it this morning and it explains the rough ride on my way to work today, the question now is, can you spot it?

Not sure if it's new or not as I usually use maps. Not sure what it uses for calcs, but it's faster than the car setting.

I downloaded this MotoDash APK online a while ago, but it keeps crashing randomly. I can't find the original website or any other download links now. Does anyone know anything about this launcher?

Should I continue to get a bike?

Hello I was practicing on my friends r25 and whisky throttled it while luckily the clutch saved me from crashing while that was yesterday, just today while practicing in my friends avantiz 125cc scooter while I tried braking I whisky throttled and crash.
Should I continue to get my cbr150 or no? (I ride a fixie normally) so it might have something to do with that.

Beginner Bike Tips - CVT Experienced

I want a manual motorcycle and I am used to riding a 55-65mph moped. I was looking at a 300-400cc size range between R3, Ninjas, CBR400/500, BMW 310 and some other smaller brand 300's like a CFMOTO 300ss. What would people who have been on a lot of these chassis' recommend? My moped I have now is a 50cc (turned 70cc big bore kit, exhaust, new carb, basically new trans - belt, rollers, clutch springs, etc.) which tops out at 55-60mph and I want a daily driver for going to class at university. Thank you for your help. Everything appreciated. Price range is 1,500-3,000 USD but preferably on the lower side. I do know that the bike itself is "the cheapest part about owning a motorcycle", so I have that in mind.

Hand tattoo throttle recovery time

Hi everyone, it’s my birthday tomorrow and I’m getting a hand tattoo but I do ride, so I was curious how long I should wait before getting behind the throttle again? Sport bike so almost always wear gloves.

Tattoo will be on back of hand.

Any suggestion is appreciated as I’m receiving mixed reviews.

Never Owned a Motorcycle - Looking for Suggestions

• Upvotes

Howdy, title kind of explains itself. I've never owned a motorcycle and have been really wanting to get one come next summer. I really want a chopper because I find them really cool and stylish but a lot of research has told me that most people find them to be bad ideas for beginners. Not to sound like a snotty stuck up, full of himself kind of guy but I want a bike that other guys will love, and maybe even some ladies might turn their heads at (I know bikes aren't really chick magnets but you get the gist) I was looking at the Honda Rebel 500 and have watched some videos on them and they seem cool, but its something about the shape of the bike that throws me off a bit.

I'm looking to stay at 700cc and below. And I'm thinking my price range might be between 2-5k realistically. I know this post doesn't help much but I would really appreciate some suggestions, thanks guys.

Edit: I also don't mind if they are cruiser or sports or what have you. Throw them all at me!
