Enjoyed perfect weather for mid-October to ride down with a buddy across 2 midwest states for meetings and a bike night very well attended. We got looks, waves and compliments at the gas stops, by trucks, delivery vans, and other riders which was awesome. But the ride was the best part of the experience. For the ride, indeed!

Hello all
A few weeks ago I made a post on here looking for advice and general wisdom because I had been gifted a Triumph Bonneville T120 by my father in law after completing the MSF basic course. I had done some looking online and saw lots of talk about the ride by wire system being touchy, the power of the engine being something to actively contain, weight of the bike in turning and slow speed maneuvers…
Well, I finally took it out and rode it around the neighborhood and to put some gas in it.
It rides like a dream. It’s so much smoother than the Suzuki I used in the MSF course, and while there does need to be some respect for the throttle, it carried me around without a hiccup. Turns, stops, a U-turn, going up to 4th gear and just cruising. I’m laughing a little because I was worrying myself over nothing.
Going to keep doing backroad driving and drills in the parking lot to hone my skills, but so far this fucking rocks.

T100 2015 vs T120 2017vs Thunderbird LT 2016— Which would you choose?
Dear fellow Bonnie lovers!
Thanks for all the advice on my Bonneville hunt. Now I’m confused between three options:
- 2015 Thunderbird LT: ₹7 lakh (~$8,200), 30,000 km.
- 2015 Bonneville T100 (865 cc): Single owner, just 2,500 km, recorded service history, but some damage from sitting unused. 3700$
- 2017 Bonneville T120: Second owner, 17,000 km, recorded service history. Seller is moving to Australia and asking ₹5 lakh (~$5,900).
A little about me: I’ve ridden Harleys as a chapter manager for over 80,000 km in softails and sportsters and extensively ridden a BMW G 310 GS, including Umling La.
I live in the mountains and want an all-round motorcycle for daily rides, mountain roads and occasional family trips. I own a car but prefer motorcycles. I value character, individuality, reliability and long-term ownership over outright performance.
Which would you choose, considering maintenance, spare-parts availability in India and everyday practicality? Is the low-mileage T100 worth considering despite sitting unused, or is the T120 at ₹5 lakh the obvious choice?
Would love to hear from actual owners!

I'm currently on a 2020 765 StreetTriple R. I absolutely love the bike and mostly ride on weekends, blasting through the twisties. With Pirelli Rosso 4 tyres, she's an absolute weapon.
I feel like upgrading. I've tried to organize demo rides through local dealers but it's like pulling teeth. Ducati Melbourne were completely unhelpful, as was Triumph.
For those that have ridden both, what were your thoughts. Convince me to go with Ducati, upgrade to the new 765, or stay on the current ride.

Hello, after a lovely year of ownership I've decided to pull the plug on an exhaust system and a remap. So I'm ofcourse also looking for an air filter.
I've looked at Sprint Filter, DNA and BMC alternatives.
So far I've been more inclined towards DNA since it seems to offer the most airflow with almost identical filtering capability as OEM (as claimed by the manufacturer).
What do you guys run/suggest for the ST 765? The bike's primary habitat is twisties with the occassional track visits. Also I don't mind increased maintenance since I do all the wrenching myself.

Nearby dealer has one of each. Hard to tell what the difference is based on some Google searches.

Just changed my header gaskets and saw this. It looks like both? exhaust valves on the middle cylinder are leaking slightly? Yet, I haven‘t noticed any smoke (burning oil). Is this common? Could it be anything else?

Looking to get this 2017 t120, my question is…does the front end look lowered? Maybe I’m seeing different. I’ve never had a water cooled model just air cooled but it looks a tad bit Lowe?

I'm the proud owner of a 2022 Street Scrambler 900. I love the bike and I'm looking for some help with some name brands and/or software to help bring the hp/tq up from factory. I've heard that the throttle opening on these bikes is limited to 70% or so, not sure how true that is. Any recommendations for pipes, cat deletes, air cleaner/intakes, and tuning options (off the shelf if any) would be appreciated!

Hi everyone, I'm currently looking into getting a Daytona 600 from 2004.
I've heard well about the handling and general drivability of it, however the engine on the 600 seems to be lacking in the midrange compared to the later 650.
How noticeable is the midrange lack compared to its rivals, is it like all 600's or is it worse?
Also, how's the reliability, on a scale of Honda to KTM?

Hey everyone!
For my engineering design project, I am currently developing a 3 in 1 integrated locking system designed to solve some of the everyday problems of locking up a bike in public.
The core idea is to combine a u-lock, helmet lock, and a disk lock into a single device, complete with a frame-mounting docking bracket (if needed) so riders don't have to lug heavy steel locks around in a backpack.
To make sure this actually meets real-world needs (and avoids issues like accidental disc-lock ride-offs or weak helmet cables), I’ve put together a short, anonymous survey to gather rider insights on weights, locking habits, and key preferences.
Motorcycle Security System: User research survey
It only takes about 2 to 3 minutes to complete, and your feedback will directly influence the dimensions, weight limits, and features of the design specifications.
I really appreciate any responses or thoughts you can share, as they will help me with my engineering project.
Ride safe!
Have to Repost because I forgot to reply to automatic bot last time

Edited the official Bonneville T40 photos to see how it would look with the diamond-cut alloy wheels from the Harley X440T alongside the stock wire-spoke wheels.
Which look do you prefer?
Personally, I feel like in 2026 nobody should have to suffer from tubed tyres anymore—having tubeless alloys makes so much more sense for real-world riding, and the diamond-cut tips still keep that retro vibe. What do you guys think?

Im planning on getting a used Triumph speed 400 as my first bike
Its a 2024 model it has 5400km(3355 miles) on the clock
and was wondering if there are major problems with these bikes since i heard that the earlier models have problems with turning off mid ride(dont know if its true)
If someone had or has this bike i would like to hear your experience

I'm looking specifically at the bobbed fender for the Triumph America. I have a friend who is willing to try to bob my stock fender, but it's definitely a practice project kind of thing. This fender plus shipping to Canada would run me about $280 CAD which seems reasonable considering we might not do a good job on the stock one. I'm also not opposed to spending a little money in lieu of a lot of work.

I bought a triumph speed master 40 2009 on marketplace a month ago and have been practicing on it recently to practice basic turns and the friction zone. However when I ride in first gear, often times my bike frequently stalls. Now, granted when I start the bike the engine sign glows red, and I have yet to consult the big book (manual) about it. What do you think could be the issue?

Hey guys,
I bought my bike back in April 2026. Since I have a road trip to Mussoorie planned in the next two days, the service center had previously advised me to bring it in for a general check-up before heading to the hills just to ensure everything is sorted.
I expected a nominal inspection fee, but to my surprise, the final bill came out to ₹3,827 (Parts: ~₹1,881 + Labour: ~₹1,945)!
Here is what they billed me for:
Parts (₹1,881.73)
Brake Pads: Front pad set (₹842) & Rear brake pad (₹256)
Air Filter Element: ₹380
Intake Air System Cleaner: ₹345
Chain Lube: ₹59
Labour Charges (₹1,945.36)
General check-up
Air filter R&R
Throttle body cleaning / assembly
Rear brake pad replacement
Washing, drying, & lubrication
Consumables & chain maintenance
They told me that the air filter was choked and needed urgent replacement, which led into intake cleaning and throttle body servicing.
The bike is barely 6 months old. While I get that brake pads wear out depending on riding style and hills require fresh brakes, replacing both pads and doing a full intake/throttle cleaning on a simple "general check-up" visit pushed the total bill higher than a routine periodic service!
For folks with similar bikes:
1. Is it common for the air filter to choke up and require a throttle body clean in just 5–6 months?
2. Are these separate labour line items justified, or did the service center pad the bill with unnecessary add-ons before my trip?
Attached the bill for reference. Would love to hear your thoughts.
