Here’s some of the footage I got from this weekend. Sorry it’s so low-res. This was one of many amazing rides during the Rally.

Hey all,
As summer begins, I've noticed lots of people getting new mopeds! Hell yeah!
Whether you're brand-new or you've been on here for years, don't forget to fill out the flair form so you can have your model of moped appear next to your username on this sub.
Once and a while I've gotten a bit behind on updating everything but I'll try to be better from now on.

Such an awesome experience
I recently acquired side covers for my 1978 piaggio bravo and the right side pedal crank strikes the side cover Is there an aftermarket crank or fix anybody would recommend?

Trying to diagnose this:
- Hard to start but runs fine and can idle
- No power once trying to ride it
- Exhaust gas exiting out of the red circled port underneath the motor while running.
- Spark plug shows it’s running a bit rich but not too bad.
- Bogs lower in rev range
Eventually I’ll source a compression tester, but for now I’m asking here. Is this a vent? With threads?? If so, I presume this is blowby? Flywheel cover is off since I was adjusting timing.

I recenly bought this simson s51 for ~400€, repaired it with ~1500€. The engine is stock 50/2, the most i have ever done on it is 78kmh with 16t sprocket. I want to upgrade it in some way, perfomance wise as well as look wise. Thanks for any tips (please include a price, im on a budget)

My 2019 Aprilia SX 50 won't start, and I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with it.
Here's what I've checked so far:
-The carburetor is clean.
-There are no air leaks around the air filter or intake manifold.
-The spark plug has a working spark.
When I try to bump-start it, the engine runs very briefly and sputters before dying.
When I try to kick-start it, it doesn't even fire or show any signs of starting.
It has a Nakamura 49,9 cc cylinder and a Tecnigas sport exhaust.
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this? What should I check next?
Any help would be appreciated!
I made engine mount from scraps and repainted homemade exhaust, sometime i stare at little screamer like a creep.kitted airsal65 and exhaust since 2015.kinda suprising how time flies.

I know this has probably been asked before but the only people i saw recommended was tomahawk and one in Fullerton. Tomahawk is no longer repairing.
Anyone got a tomos mechanic or know of a moped repair shop in Socal? Got some issues that are beyond my mechanical skill .

Got a 420 chain for a moped, chain breaker i have bent the outer link, I know i can pop both sides to get the link broken, but i need the outer link to stay but with the pin out. Are there any chain breakers you guys recommend to pop the pin out without bending the outer plate? Or is there a technique I can use with this breaker? Thanks!

I was riding behind my buddy, and then flames and sparks shot out of the exhaust. Where did the skirt go?

I recently traded a kitted out PW80 (not supermoto, just basic mods) for this 1999 Tomos Targa LX. May look like a bad trade, but I'm in Northern Alberta and these things are so hard to find (still a horrible trade on my part). This one is not really that beat up, its still nice, but its missing all of the most expensive parts lol. I bought blinkers, lights, wiring harness, engine parts, allat. It wasn't stolen (source: trust me bro), and I have all the parts on the way, and I have a bill of sale (needed in Alberta for registration) but the foil sticker on the chassis is 90% gone man. Don't pressure wash your bikes. Anyways, gonna go through a long ass process to get inspections done and whatever the fuck ($700 for just the new vin, let alone the $600 I dropped on parts AND a $700 trade for the bike).
Yall think I got off? Trust me bro, it'll be worth in the end🥲
(For those American things; screw you and your $200 Tomos's)

Looking for a running Scoot close-ish to the Chattanooga TN area.
Would prefer a 2-stroke so I can mod it up to speed.
Budget is around 800-ish.
Thanks in advance!

Can you hear the rattling in the video? It mainly occurs at mid to high RPM. The strange thing is that it disappears under load, for example when cruising in a higher gear. But as soon as I pull in the clutch and let the engine rev freely, the noise comes back.
There’s no noticeable difference whether the clutch is engaged or disengaged.
I’ve removed the covers on the left side of the engine to check for anything obvious, but no luck. It’s not the fan shroud either.
Could it be worn piston rings or something else in the top end? I bought the moped a few months ago, so I have no idea when the piston or rings were last replaced.
Any ideas or suggestions on what to check next would be greatly appreciated!

It’s a documentary about a Puch Maxi club in a small town in Denmark, and the full film is now available on YouTube!
It’s about friendship, freedom, a little beer, mopeds, and finally getting back on the road after a long winter.
Watch it here:

English subtitles are available — just turn them on in the video settings.

I’ve been working on getting a 1980 LC-50 Champ running and having a hard time finding parts. Curious if anyone here has ever messed around with replacing the coils on one of these? I know the QT-50 has a lot of parts compatibility.

I recently got my Peugeot 103 running after cleaning the Dellorto 16.16 carburetor and replacing the old fuel mixture. Initially, when pedaling, it would make a very weak engine sound, almost like it wasn’t firing properly. I kept pedaling while playing with the choke and throttle, and eventually it fired up and sounded normal through the exhaust.
I rode it around the block for about 2 minutes, parked it, and shut it off. When I tried starting it again, no luck. No matter how much I pedal, use the choke, or accelerate, it just makes that same weak sound without fully firing up. When you pull the choke and pedal you hear weak moped sound coming out through the engine but not through the exhaust and loud, basically not firing up.
Could I have soaked the spark plug from all the starting attempts? Could the carburetor already need another cleaning? Or should I be looking at something else?
I’m fairly new to mopeds and learning as I go, so any advice on what to inspect next would be appreciated.
I also do not have the decompression lever, previous owner said he omitted it by upgrading to something else? But yeah please help how to diagnose and solve this.
Note: the carburetor top cover gasket is missing (where the throttle cable goes) I ordered it and should arrive soon but wanted to fire up the engine before, not sure if that’s a good idea or if it’s adding to the problem
Appreciate your help!
Edit: I checked the spark plug, fuel system and cleaned the carb but no luck. I think at this point it could be the condenser went bad as many suggested, I grabbed one for an old Chevy from AutoZone, but I I didn’t know I also need a flywheel remover tool which obviously I don’t have, but I ordered it and should be here in few days. I also received the gasket for the carburetor top, I will it put it tomorrow and maybe give it a try? Thank you all for your inputs! I feel like I’m in good hands. Will update soon.
Edit2: so I cleaned the carb thoroughly again, checked the spark plug and cleaned it, added ~ 1.5 L of fuel mixture, and gave it a try. It fired up easy as butter and ran for a good time. I stopped to add more fuel, this time turned back on but not as smooth as the first time. The exhaust popped few times then kept pedaling and then it took off again.
3rd time it didn’t want to start at all.. same weak noise and exhaust not popping at all.
The plan is to clean the carb again and give it another try while it’s cold. But I honestly want to solve this starting issue permanently. This feels like my old Playstation2 I use to pray before turning it on.

Hi! I was wondering wether it is possible to put 70cc puch maxi kit on babetta engine case. If i remember correctly, cylinder stud size is the same (screw that holds cylinder and head) but the stroke is different. Sometimes i find 42mm and other times 43mm stroke so which is it? I mean if its 42mm i think it should be possible to fit the bigbore kit onto babetta engine block.
Does anyome have any experience with this?
