Unskippable ad I keep getting threatening texts

I get these ALL the time. I’ve never donated to these “people.” Never supported them. Never voted for them. Nor has my wife. I received four of these today. All threats. Always a telling me it’s my last chance. These are some of the less malicious-sounding ones.

I’m not even sure they’re legitimately from those parties, though I wouldn’t put it past them.

So… report as spam. Report as spam. Report as spam.

It isn’t like it’s painful. Just pretty irritating.

My dad registered as a republican when he was 18 and never bothered to change it. He has not voted for them in over 20 years lol. But because he never changed it he still sometimes gets republicans shit in the mail. Did you maybe register as such as a kid?

I originally registered as Republican when I was 18. Didn’t know any better. I changed it like a year later. So… maybe that marked me for life.

pretty much. They likely have a list of registered voters, you still have the same number right? So they just spam these texts out.

I've gotten the same exact texts and have never registered or voted R, so it's not that.

Do you still have the same phone number?

I would assume this is from something like when the RNC was hacked by Russia but they didn’t publicize it because it wouldn’t help Trump win.

Nope. That was like 1993. I got this number back in… 2001 or so.

In 1980 I registered as a Republican but didn’t vote that year. In 1988 I had moved to another state and registered as Democrat. Luckily the party didn’t follow me. The only time in recent years that I made a vague claim in being Republican was to get two tickets to a Trump rally so that there was two less seats available. I had read about that Tulsa event where 6200 people showed up to a 19K seat arena thanks to a TT viral campaign. Chefs kiss.

Yeah, I made a small donation to Elizabeth Warren once, and I still get "donate to Dems" junk no matter how often I tell them to stop.

I could be wrong. But, I think politicians carved out an exemption for themselves when they created the Do Not Call or Text List. :-(
