I have to get routine blood work and med reauthorization every 6 months. I go to a clinic that's a part of a statewide chain. I have gone to (let's just call it T-ville) a few times and the Doc was pretty great. This past time however, he was panicking and talking about how nobody but him, a Nurse, and a front desk person is there with 30 patients in the waiting room.
I saw him exactly 1 minute and the Nurse maybe 1 minute. She didn't talk to me at all but, was the one filling out my chart. I'm on 5 meds, and they missed my mental health questionnaire which I had to catch him literally running out the door to address.
Fast forward to 3 months ago, and I'm trying to refill my pain meds. Denied because I need the authorization that was supposed to be for 6 months. I message the clinic through the portal, and the Nurse who was there and managing my chart was extremely rude and not even messaging in sentences; just 2-3 word utterances. We went back and forth as I asked her to review my chart and extend the authorization because I've always had 6 mo. increments. Nope, she says she's only seeing 3. Just keot repeating I would have to come back and get reauthorization which means a 35 mi. drive and more money for their mistake.
I call the Pharmacy back, and they send in a fax which was successful for another month of reauthorization. Another month goes by, another fax, and we're good. Month 6 however, denied. I make another appointment at a location in H-ver. That Doc I know very well and was so sad she went to a different clinic, but came back.
She saw on my chart the Nurse misclassified 2 of my meds (one is for Migraines and she said it was GI or something like that). Then, I told her about them withholding my pain meds which as someone with 3 chronic pain conditions and 2 listed as severe; big no-no. She had to go through my whole chart and told me everything that was a mistake. The T-ville clinic for reference has a lot of negative reviews recently as they underwent new management and for the same reasons I just listed.
It doesn't seem like what she did was huge but; she didn't even know what my meds were, didn't set the time right, and was useless after the fact and screwed my chart completely up. I made sure I wasn't getting the wrong meds because I was paranoid she did that too.
