you can drive for 24 hours from Long Island to Albany and you'll STILL BE IN FUCKING LOWER MANHATTAN BECAUSE THIS CITY HAS TOO MUCH FUCKING TRAFFIC

/unjerk holup, if you're going to Albany from Long Island wouldn't it be possible to take the ferry?

I mean the ferry is like $110 for a car with 2 people and it’s slow as hell so you’re really not saving that much time

It’s an hour. If the departure time lines up with your travel time you can save a shit ton of time. If you need to wait for the ferry though it’s diminishing returns. On the plus side there’s bar on board.

/rejerk you actually just drive across the water. Traffic down there is even worse, however.

That sounds like public transport and Americans are allergic to that
