Sometimes inspiration strikes, this took me about 3 weeks with a few bricklink orders for the older shutter styled windows. Seeing the last picture in a Google search, I wanted the challenge of recreating the angular semi round features of the buildings and stairways. Overall I am happy with the results.

There's a LEGO competition at the NM State Fair?

Yep, select Participate on the NM State Fair website and then select the Competitions section. It's in the Creative Arts section.

Aww, they're not doing it at the Southern NM State Fair. Not that I could enter, but it'd be cool to go see.

Well, congrats on your win. It is a beautiful design that really nails the aesthetic.
