i wanted to ask you all for recommendations for the best pandals to visit in kolkata this year.

im looking for must visit pandals, including popular ones and any underrated gems that are worth checking out. it would be really helpful if you could also mention the nearest metro station to each pandal and how to get there from the station.

if possible, please suggest a convenient route for covering multiple pandals in a day, preferably using the metro to get around. any tips regarding the best time to visit and how to avoid excessive crowds would also be appreciated!

One of my friends told me that her perfume bottle was confiscated from her checked in luggage on two separate occasions. I’ve tried reading the guidelines issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, but I’m still a little confused. I just want to be extra cautious and make sure I don’t run into any problems at the airport. Also, if anyone has a PDF of the official guidelines explicitly stating that those items are permitted in checked in luggage, could you please share it? I’d like to have the relevant rules handy in case I need to clarify anything at the airport

So, this happened on the 14th Nov Tritiya night at around 8pm, and I've been thinking about it ever since. 🙂🙂

I was pandal-hopping with a group of friends, wearing a black Punjabi with an ivory stole. Felt pretty good about my outfit, ngl. That time we were going towards the Sovabazar metro station.

At one point, we crossed paths with a group of three girls wearing sarees. One of them was wearing a red saree, and she was genuinely gorgeous.

We made a small moment of eye contact as our groups passed each other. I looked ahead and kept walking, but out of the corner of my eye, I noticed her turning her head to look back in my direction as we passed.

My friends noticed it too and started hyping me up about how she'd turned her head to look at me. 😂

At that moment, I was just enjoying the validation and feeling good about myself. It genuinely didn't occur to me to approach her.

But now after I'm home, I'm thinking about how I could've at least tried something like, "Ato dekhar iccha hole, you can take my Insta" 💀 or just introduced myself and complimented her saree.

Obviously, I don't know if she was actually interested in me. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. I'll probably never know.

where did the carefree days go? i was an adult in college as well, but now that it's over, it feels like the real adulting has begun.

everyone thought that I have a very big social circle, everyone thought that imma extrovert who's here and there, an extrovert people loves to hangout with, a guy with very much friends, a guy whos popular among his friends

i mean this pujo just left me with loneliness, and i havent had a second word for it. nobody is asking me out to roam with them, crazy right? being in kolkata and not having a group is a very crazy thing to have. i was reading about how people feel lonely on reddit. everyone there just said ki "akele ghumo" and "youll feel that you need someone but eventually youll not" and all these things. im here at my mamas house wondering that what might had gone wrong that im not in the place to roam in durga puja with my friends and enjoy like other peeeps i know. last year i was roaming with my so called gf and their new peeps just in hope that she will return and things will get sorted between us(she left with no reason and it just broke me). I was in awe of pain like I didn't knew what to do by seeing her roaming with people I don't want to but then again blinded by love and deceived by God it happened. anyways this year the people were out but she's out there with the friends who once were my friends too and it was the only group I had. yes I also had a group in first year, we used to roam and eat together, share every little things happening and do everything what people when they were in first year. now this pujo things changed, I am alone and idk what to do with this. I have friends but I don't like em very much and there's not any particular group that I have made or idk how to get into a group where people made you a part of it. I am here and there with everyone trying to breakout my old self and came into a new but NGL it's not happening at a pace where things get changed. while everybody is out there in pujo im here at my mamas home rotting the same bed I do when I come here and stare at my phone for no absolute reason. there's no call no text no any particular reason someone got to call/text me and yeah no pujo plan.
