[MegaThread] Looking For Friends/Clan/Squad
This Megathread will remain pinned for at least a month. If you have any suggestions regarding this thread (text improvement, better way to handle recruitment, etc), please send us a modmail with "LFF megathread" as topic. Do not put any suggestion in the comment.
Anything that is not a recruitment comment or a reply for a recruitment will be removed.
With the recent released of Squad, a huge influx of new players and clans around here are looking for friends to play with. The purpose of this thread is to help people find others they'd like to play with without breaking the rules of "no active recruitment on the subreddit".
If you're looking for a person/group to play with, add a comment explaining what you're looking for. Communities can also post one top level comment advertising what they have to offer.
The replies in this thread will be in contest mode. Regularly posting, removing your post and posting again to keep your reply on top will result in losing your ability to use /r/joinsquad. Do not attempt to disguise a LFF reply as community recruitment.
When submitting a response to this megathread, be sure that your comment contains at least:
LFF replies:
- IGN (In game name)
- Location
- Play time
- What are you looking for?
- What are you looking to avoid?
Community recruitment replies:
- Community name
- Server rules
- New player friendly?
- Server location
- Community links (Discord, forums, etc)
- Expected play style
- Looking to avoid
Other places to find people to play with:
- /r/SquadUp
- Official Squad Discord - "No clan recruitment. Used for finding a group or to Squad up."
Any negative feedback about other individuals or communities will lead to a removal of the comment and a ban from /r/joinsquad.

Mod Chapter Red is coming to Squad!
Hey everyone, The Redland Collective—the best modding team for Squad 44—is moving over to Squad. That means we’ll eventually get the authentic WWII experience in Squad!

Discussion To the random guy from Iceland. You were right.
I met this guy while playing Squad. Talked for a moment and I told me he's from Iceland. I was going there for vacation in a few weeks and I asked him for something that I should try or do while there. He said to go and eat hotdogs with fries in Selfoss. I went there. Tried them. F*cking amazing. Best thing I ate all trip. Thank you random guy.

this game is great!
I wanted to try playing some more realistic shooters, and wow, I played my first round yesterday and had so much fun! I don’t understand all of my squad’s callouts yet, and I’m still learning some of the gameplay mechanics, but it was amazing! It felt like playing a movie. I did run into a few bugs, which was annoying, but overall, it was great!

Question Mixed Faction Rounds
Does anyone remember the concept that OWI released about having mixed factions on one team?
I believe it was back in UE4 or something, but I could have sworn it was set up to be like American infantry with British armor support, a heavy air wing supporting a Chinese infantry etc.
Was this ever implemented or did this get lost in the sauce of fast-roping? I was watching Last Stand and was thinking about how it would work in game.

Question How long till they add back the map distance meter?
When it disappeared I was pissed but I thought this might be one of the things once noticed will be back in the game in two days. It isn't. Are they gonna take months to add back a simple distance meter on the bottom of the map? What is going on?

Discussion Server admins, please put some actual effort into balancing teams
Hey guys,
There's something that's been pissing me off for a long time, and I need to get it off my chest.
It feels like hardly any server can get team balancing right. Some admins seem to deliberately put it off until it's far too late, or simply don't bother at all. I wouldn't go as far as calling it admin abuse, but some of the stuff I've seen is getting dangerously close.
Here's how a typical weekday on a server goes: 1–2 hours of seeding, followed by 3–4 hours of prime time. After that, the server slowly starts dying. It's down to around 70% player capacity, and eventually, there aren't even enough players left to get a proper match going.
Fair enough, that's just how things go. You can't expect a server to stay full all day.
But when you have 2.5 hours straight of some of the most ridiculously unbalanced matches imaginable, with PMC against US Army, ending 295–0, back to back, that's a different story.
And while all of this is happening, you can literally watch an admin switch to the winning team without making any attempt to balance the teams or scramble them. Only once the server has already dropped to around 70% capacity do they finally decide to do something about it. What good Samaritans they are...
That's just ridiculous. It's certainly not in the interest of the player base when half the server gets to enjoy the game for hours while the other half gets steamrolled match after match.
And god forbid you bring it up in chat. Suddenly, you're the bad guy, and the response is something along the lines of "You can't make everyone happy."
No, you can't. But that's not the point. If an admin deliberately refuses to scramble the teams while one side keeps getting stomped, I have to wonder whether this is actually in the interest of Offworld's server hosting policy or even the server itself.
I've watched a German-speaking server slowly but surely drive itself into the ground over the years through exactly this kind of behavior. It's frustrating to see the same thing happening elsewhere.
Like come on, admins. Put in a little more effort. You're responsible for maintaining a decent playing environment, and that includes making sure people on both teams actually have a chance to enjoy the game.

My keyboard has stickdrift?

Boats and tracked vehicles pull to the left, like I have stick drift. I have replicated it with different keyboards and after reinstall of the game.
Why does this happen?! It's really annoying.

Implement Revive Failure Chance
I think getting revived many times in 1 life is not a fun mechanic, there should be some % of getting our revive failed, medics could have a lower %.
Seems fair to me

Discussion RPD is okay...I guess...for an old gun at least
Not saying a scope+RMR+suppressor would be unjustified, for balance y'know
