The circle of love
Every person we meet affects both of our lives.
A small part of our soul remains within each of us.
Every one of us can therefore change the world by selflessly sharing our innate wisdom and unconditional love to help awaken others.
They then, may do the same with all those they meet in their lives as well, helping to spread the circle of love around the world.

The Three Bones of Life
Everybody needs three bones in their body:
A wishbone so you can dream big and believe in possibilities.
A backbone so you can stand tall and face life's challenges with courage and resilience.
A funny bone so you can laugh, find joy, and enjoy the journey along the way.

Marcus Aurelius Compared a Steady Mind to a Rock Getting Hit by Waves, Not to Calm Water
There's a short passage in Meditations where Marcus Aurelius describes the kind of steadiness he's actually after, and it's not what people usually picture when they imagine staying calm. He pictures a rock standing in rough water, waves slamming into it constantly, and says the rock doesn't stop the waves, it just stands there and the sea eventually quiets down around it. What gets me about this image is that he didn't pick calm water as the metaphor, he picked a rock still getting hit. The waves don't stop coming just because you've gotten steadier, they keep arriving the same as always. What changes is that they stop being able to move you the way they used to. That's a pretty different picture than the usual idea of peace as the absence of difficulty. It's closer to being difficult-proof than difficulty-free, which honestly sounds more achievable and a lot less fragile. It also means you don't need the waves to stop in order to call yourself steady, you just need to still be standing after the last one hit. What's something you're still getting hit by regularly that doesn't throw you the way it used to?

I am learning not to chase everything.
I used to think if something mattered, I had to hold on tight to it.
People.
Plans.
A version of life I thought I was supposed to have.
But after divorce and having to rebuild parts of my life, I’m learning that not everything is meant to be forced.
Some things I can care about and still let breathe.
Some things I can want and still not lose myself trying to make them happen.
I’m trying to stay open without chasing everything.
And when something good does show up, I want to be present enough to actually receive it.

I wrote this poem to inspire people who want to change their lives for the better
A poem I wrote about becoming a better person…
The weight of who you used to be
Does not belong to you today.
Old habits from which you tried to flee
Are slowly starting to give way.
You do not need a sudden spark
To turn your entire life around.
Just one small lantern through the dark,
One forward step on solid ground.
Forgive the years you gave to doubt,
The promises that fell apart.
A quiet life is built without
The shame you carry in your heart.
Show up and do the simple deed,
Stand taller than you did before.
Plant one sincere, deliberate seed,
And leave the old self at the door.
You are worth it.

Easier said than done when emotions run high, but how do you actually remind yourself to "practice the pause" before saying something you'll regret?

Why look down on someone when life can humble any of us overnight?

Every life is beautiful
Every life is exceptional, beautiful in every way.
It matters not appearance, beliefs, flaws, or any other differences there may be between us.
Embrace each other with unconditional love, rather than judgment, seeing beyond the exterior and façade of another, to their loving flawless essence within.

Your current situation is not your final destination
I know you haven't been okay lately, but it helps to remember that whatever you are going through right now isn't the end of your story—it is just the beginning of a stronger version of you. No storm lasts forever, and every difficult season comes with an expiration date. Hard times are uncomfortable, but they serve as a catalyst for growth, pushing us out of places where we no longer belong.
That is why you have to choose yourself right now. Prioritizing your happiness and taking a firm stand isn't selfish; it is necessary for your survival. When you let other people rule your world, you hand over the keys to your peace of mind. Your life is yours to live, and protecting your inner peace is your highest responsibility.
God gave you this life because He recognized your unique capabilities and strength, knowing you have exactly what it takes to navigate these moments. He trusts you with your journey, so never lose hope. Growth is often invisible while it's happening, and even when you can't see anything changing on the outside, a shift is happening within. Hold fast to the truth that joy is coming in the morning

The physics of optimism: How a growth mindset can genuinely rewrite your emotional wiring
We talk a lot about healing as a destination. A place we finally reach once we’ve unpacked enough boxes, had enough therapy sessions, or buried enough versions of our past selves. But lately, I’ve been thinking that healing is less like an arrival and more like an ongoing architectural project.
One of the most profound realizations I've had is the tangible, almost physical effect that positive, intentional thoughts have on the trajectory of our lives. It isn't just about slap-on-the-wrist toxic positivity or trying to smile through genuine pain. It’s about the quiet, stubborn shift toward a growth mentality. The radical belief that every single experience, even the devastating ones, is raw material rather than a permanent sentence.
We accumulate emotional scarring as we move through life. It’s inevitable. Betrayals, failures, grief, and rejection carve pathways into our minds, teaching us how to flinch, how to guard our ribs, and how to anticipate the next fall. For a long time, it’s easy to believe those scars define the boundaries of who we are allowed to become.
Yet, neuroplasticity tells a fascinating story. Our brains are constantly rewiring based on where we direct our focus. When we actively cultivate positive thoughts and lean into growth, we aren't just lying to ourselves to feel better in the moment. We are literally laying down new tracks. We are teaching our nervous system that safety is possible, that progress is real, and that the future doesn't have to look like a rerun of yesterday's trauma.
The joy of a growth mentality is the sudden, breathtaking realization that you are not a finished product. Every mistake becomes data. Every setback becomes a pivot point. You stop asking, "Why is this happening to me?" and start asking, "What is this teaching me?" That single shift in perspective transforms life from a minefield into a classroom.
I truly believe that we can conquer all emotional scarring and move forward. Not by erasing the past. Scars, after all, prove that we survived. but by refusing to let them dictate the chapters that come next. When you genuinely believe in your capacity to evolve, the heavy gravity of old hurts starts to lose its grip.
You realize you aren't broken; you're becoming. And there is an immense, quiet power in deciding that the best parts of your story haven't been written yet.

STAY. DON'T GIVE UP!
For anyone out there that has hit their breaking point, the bottom of rock bottom. For those that feel like they are drowning and feel their chest caving in from the pain, grief, shame and regret just weighing them down. I completely understand your pain. It may be different circumstances but I am all too familiar with that pain. It's so strong and heavy that you just want to claw at your chest, inflict some type of pain or wound because its frustrating feeling it and yet seeing no physical wound to it. I could see myself stuck inside this hole and way way at the top was a small light but no matter what I did I could never reach it. Until one day I said enough was enough. I couldn't take it anymore, the weight on my chest felt like a 1000 lbs sitting on top and not one second did it ever leave. When I went to sleep, if I slept, it was there. When I woke up, it was there. I just couldn't bear it anymore. I felt hopeless, worthless and purposeless. I was done. So, one night I lay weeping on my bedroom floor, just sobbing my eyes because the image of my parents finding me hurt but not enough to deter me from ending things. I had what I needed on the nightstand and was looking forward to finally being set free from the pain, from the depression. I would finally have some rest and get to escape all my burdens. I sat up on my bed and not audibly but inside of me I heard "Open your bible." I knew it was God but I can tell you I fought it. I said "No. I dont want to God." I didnt want to be here anymore, my soul was looking forward to not hurting anymore. Something in me though could not fight those words and the directions behind it. So, begrudgingly I said "Okay God but I don't promise anything." I get up and walk toward my dresser and open my dusty bible. It's as if it flipped to where it wanted to because He didn't tell me what book or chapter. I didn't know, the only thing the Lord said was to open it. I open it and where my eyes landed was, Matthew 11:28-30. "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. " I encountered His saving grace that night. Jesus Christ saved my life that night from the depression and suicidal thoughts that were tormenting me day in and day out for more than a decade. The Life saving power in His word as I read it broke the chains and silenced the voice of the enemy wanting to take me out. In my ignorance I thought the desire to end my life was from me but it wasn't. He breathed life into me that night and He gave my soul rest. He took my burdens from me and gave me His, Light. I felt so light, light as feather! Soon my weeping turned into a quiet cry of release. The pain lifted and my chest felt like I could finally take a breath. The tears falling down my face started becoming less until I felt this peace. I still felt grief but it's weight wasn't on me anymore. I laid down on my bed and felt this lone tear just fall across my face and that night I slept. I woke up the next morning and the depression and the suicidal thoughts were gone. Jesus Christ saved my life and rescued me from the deep hole I could not get out of. His light, His breath, His comfort and His peace did what no amount of alcohol, no person, no self-help books ever could! Now I won't sit here and say its been easy and there were two times since then(Sept 2021) which the thoughts did come back but now knowing those thoughts don't come from me but from the enemy I can now recognize them as lies and weapons he is using to try and get me to destroy myself. By the grace of God, I am thankful for my rock bottom because in that place Jesus became real to me. He wasn't someone I was told about or knew of but I actually felt His Light, His love for me in my brokenness. I am alive because of His love. I am alive because He saw me when no one did. He saw my soul crying out, He heard it's cry and like the Savior He is He came and rescued me. So, please as someone who was at that broken and dark place. Please, do not give up. There is a reason the enemy wants you to take yourself out. You were made for more and deep down you know it. There is hope. There is worth. There is Life and it is all in Christ Jesus. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Look up and cry out to Him, your soul is thirsty for His Living Waters. In Him you will find who you were always meant to be. I love you, please stay. Jesus Christ is knocking at your door. Let Him in, you won't regret it. He will change your life!
Prayer : "Jesus, I believe You are who You say You are. I believe You died for my sins. Every lie, every hurt I have caused, all my sins, you paid for them when You were crucified on the cross. I repent meaning I turn from my sinful ways and the ways of this world and turn to You Jesus Christ. I believe You died and took on my punishment that I rightfully deserved so that I may live. I believe Jesus, You resurrected on the 3rd day, defeating death and breaking its hold it had on me through sin. The wages of sin is death but because You have paid my debt with your death I now am free. Your resurrection means I rise with You as a new creation in Christ. I confess You Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior because I need a Savior. I accept Your free gift of salvation, save me Jesus and make me new. Come into my heart and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I surrender to You, show me Lord how to live and walk with You. I let go of what I am not and want to be who I was always meant to be in You. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. You know me from before creation, you even know the number of hairs on my head. You know when I sit when I rise. You know every thought and every thing in my heart. Show me who You are God and show me who I am in You. In Jesus Name. AMEN. And the angels and every child of God is rejoicing and celebrating. Welcome Home☺️
Luke 15:10 "In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
