Ive been exploring game development for like a week now and thought of this idea. i went ahead and started building it. the story/concept goes like this:
You wake up stranded in the desert, discover an oasis, and eventually reach a settlement inhabited by other survivors.
You'll explore the world, fight monsters, gather resources, craft items, explore dungeons, fight world bosses, and interact with other survivors. As you venture beyond the safety of the settlement, you'll face greater dangers, including PvP encounters where you risk losing your loot.
The goal is to create a world that feels like it's inhabited by survivors trying to make a living in a hostile environment, find friends along the way and eventually find your "way of life."
this is a sandbox mmo without lvls, an offline progression, player-driven economy (no item loot, only materials for crafting), full loot during night time in the game(something like the purge) amongst many things
I'd like to know:
- would you be interested in playing an mmo with this graphic style?
- given the introduction, what game play mechanics do you expect?
- what sounds boring or unappealing?
