Going to a Pub alone

Hi!
I just moved to Glasgow and am unaware of the pub culture here. I’m a football fan and haven’t made any friends that like football too. I can’t stream the the Champions League, so would it be weird of me to go alone to a pub, have a drink and watch the game? Is that frowned upon? Maybe with my computer?
Thank you
Update: yes i got it, i’ll go without my laptop. i’m a girl so i reckon most if not all people will be men so i doubt anyone will talk to me but i’m still going! thank you for the advice!

Mental health support Private psychiatry in Glasgow

Does anyone have any experience in going private for mental health treatment/medication?

I’ve just had one private psychiatrist not work out (ghosted me after the first appointment), and I can’t really afford/ have the mental energy for the same thing to happen again. It took a lot out of me to go through with that appointment. Struggling to find places more focussed on mental illness and not for ADHD/Autism diagnosis, and that aren’t over my budget. I'm getting really desperate and the NHS is not an option for me.

Just wanted to hear if anyone has had success/received treatment and can recommend anywhere?

Edited to add: I'm currently looking at working with a Psychiatrist to get the medication side of things sorted.

Possibly homeless in Glasgow soon. Any advice

Possibly homeless in Glasgow. Any advice. I might have to go to council as parents making me leave. I've heard bad things about hotels and how long people stay there, worried. Any recent experiences? timelines from hotel to temp flat to perm? Also a adult full-time student and been told I wont be able to get housing benefit so I'll have to pay out of pocket.

Abandoned Shops on Gourock Street

Anyone know anything about the closed down block of shops on Gourock Street? The huge metal struts holding up one of the walls makes me think the structures probably fucked but it’s been like that for years now. Who decides when/if they get fixed/demolished.

Shieldhall driving test

Hello everyone. I’m having my test at Sheidhall in a few days and I’ve seen more bad news than good about the test center. There are complaints ranging from the road layout to the supposedly street examiners and low pass rate. I guess I’m just looking for some advise.

If you took your test recently in this test center and passed, how did you practice, what should I do or not do as I prepare; if you also took your test here and failed, is there any advise you could give to help other people? Thank you💙

What's Google? Non rolling car scrap

Looking to get a car that has no suspension or wheels scrapped, its sitting on jack stands on my driveway in Renfrewshire, does anyone know who would be able to uplift it? I'm not looking to get any money from it just want it away.

I've phoned a good few people up from google who all basically come back and say unless its rolling they won't take it. Cheers

I am pretty sure I'm about to be called an idiot (I'm at peace with that 😂).

I saw this vid of people breaking in to that hotel . This can't be real, right? There's so much stuff!

Tenement with no factors?

FTB going to some viewings around southside / govanhill and frequently properties are 50% or more landlords, viewing today with one that has no factors or common buildings insurance and of course roof / chimney has number 2s on HR.

Complete write off? so many have multiple landlords and wondering if its potentially unrealistic to try and get one with majority owners and long standing (not red flag) factor.

City of Glasgow College Amethyst Hair and Beauty Training Salons

Hi, has anyone had any experience with these training salons before? I'm interested in several of their services like eyebrow shaping, manicures, and ladies' haircuts, but I can't seem to find any photos online of the finished products. They also have mixed reviews on Google Maps, so I'm wondering if the salons are worth going to. As a student, the listed prices are really tempting, but I don't want to take too much of a risk lol.
