So this means if I unlocked a Mosin Nagant, I'm gonna need to unlock it again?

Yep. That and everything else you unlocked, but they did say XP progression will be increased this season. No idea how much

I'm kinda iffy on that cause it does kinda fuck up the people who can only dedicate weekends to gaming

With the state the game got itself into in the last month, please believe me when I say it does the exact opposite. Game was basically unplayable for anyone who hadn't grinded like a full-time job, because the late game gear was so wildly better than everything else you were literally non-competitive. Some balance adjustments and a full wipe were very much required here to level the field again for a bit.

I'm not sure. I certainly am not a pro Wardogs player, I don't even have access to level 3 helmets. But it pushed me to try other ways to make money, by sniping, ferrying, reviving, building. And in the end that stuff made a difference.

I'm not against wipes, but I'm also not totally for them either. Maybe a more creative solution is needed.

Maybe a more creative solution is needed.

They've already presented some of their plans for that, like the "betting on yourself" stuff that appears to perform in a match/life that's in progress and the RPG-style role things in progress.

They're definitely being more aggressive with balance, design, and short seasons right now because it's an Early Access game where they want to spend a couple of years letting the players define the final product. They've said 1.0 is expected to launch in about 2 years.

For sure, for early access it's still very fun

Hopefully more creative. I have fun piloting, playing recon, and trying to snipe all while defibbing whoever I can. But I don't want to be relegated to never playing infantry because it's a zero chance effort based on gear and unlocks alone. I would like a lot of permanent unlocks to get better and tailor my play style.

I dunno, all that other stuff you mentioned kinda sucks. It feels like you have 2 options, try and fight with worse gear and use tactics to gain an advantage, or you can play base building simulator. I personally don't find any enjoyment driving shipments back and forth or hitting the structures other people have built(because there's no point in building myself, since I don't have access to the tier 3 buildings).

That's fair, but I think there are other options in those cases (ARMA, other shooters)

The biggest problem on that was the leveling speed, and I feel like they've made that worse here. Now the endgame content (which only took a few days to arrive in S1) is going to come faster. Yes, casual players might get semi-caught up faster, but it means all of the endgame stuff is going to rule most lobbies even earlier, which I think is a net negative to solving the problem.

“Please believe me”

I don’t believe you. I played almost every day for a couple hours during the last wipe, didn’t break level 20 in any class and still had fun.

No other game has the same level of varied and replayability in it. Despite having just 3 maps, every game I played was wildly different.

The amount of hyperbolic posts due to X player being killed by X gun or vehicle is insane. I’ve been in t4 kits and killed by tars and ak’s. It literally doesn’t matter, and honestly if it’s a problem then the game isn’t for you.

The single important problem, imo, is availability for air counter. Gepard is being added as a mobile AA weapon so I’m sure that will counteract a lot of heli domination around circles.

Funny people say this... I got level 40 only-

I end every game top 10. I use the default SMG as a medic. Usually get around 20-30 kills and 30-40 revives...

How is that not being competitive? My buddy is almost max rank and uses the galil to get 50+ kills

Wardog level based on all roles, not just assault. You need to level driver and pilot too, that's why you're probably only 40
