I know people always point to the Battle on The Blackwater, while that is my favorite battle in the show. This scene might be the first time where I didn't know what to think about a character after the fact. This might be my favorite scene in all of television. Jamie explaining he only killed Areys because he was threatening to kill everyone and that Jamie was basically judged for something the Rebels were going to do anyway. Its a masterful piece of writing that set Jamie on his redemption arc. And its why Jamie Lannister is my favorite character.

Twin should have known better through his experience with tytos lannister that casterly rock under the wrong lannister would ruin everything. Jaimie was in the kingsgaurd , cersai was busy being queen . So Tyrion was the right choice for casterly rock . Even though tywin hates Tyrion. Still tywin should have considered the fact that Tyrion is highly capable of saving the lannisters power even after tywin is no longer around . But instead tywin held on to hope that jaimie will leave the kingsgaurd and take casterly rock and tywin ended up completely rejecting Tyrion . Well guess what everything went downhill for house lannister after tywin death ..
