Jamie and Brianne in The Bathhouse will Forever be My Favorite Scene in All of GOT

Post image

I know people always point to the Battle on The Blackwater, while that is my favorite battle in the show. This scene might be the first time where I didn't know what to think about a character after the fact. This might be my favorite scene in all of television. Jamie explaining he only killed Areys because he was threatening to kill everyone and that Jamie was basically judged for something the Rebels were going to do anyway. Its a masterful piece of writing that set Jamie on his redemption arc. And its why Jamie Lannister is my favorite character.

Freefolk Why is hotd dearon hair colour hated

So i actually liked the fake dearon twist . But it is sad that dearon hair colour is getting hate for not being book accurate and decide to be delusional that dearon is bleaching his Targaryen hair . But i just like the fact that dearon hair is different than his siblings aegon , aemond and helana . Also it makes sense logically that at least one of alicent kids inherited her hair colour ..

Freefolk Why did showrunners kill off rehagal

Post image
• Upvotes

So rehagal was supposed to be jon dragon. Killing off viserion to give the night king a dragon made sense but rehagal death was clearly written to push on dany mad queen arc . It would have been better if rehagal lived and after jon killed dany . Drogon tries to burn jon but rehagal defends jon and fights drogon who either kills rehagal or just decides to take dany body and fly away . I think this would be a proper ending for rehagal instead of just killing her off so that greyjoy could aura farm .. sad fact for fans . Both viserion and rehagal are still alive in the books

Freefolk Is there any possible way like and arrax could have killed aemond and vhagar while aemond and vhagar were chasing them ..

So i know vhagar is too powerful and is almost impossible to kill . But according to you was there any way like and arrax could have killed aemond and vhagar during this chase scene . You know like making them crash into a mountain and stuff . If like and arrax did somehow kill vhagar what do you think will happen after this ..

Just for fun - What fanon interpretation annoys you the most?

As title says. Essentially, what is a misconception/unsubstantiated idea that you see stated as fact far too often?

I'll start:

  1. The idea that Robb married Jeyne partially/cheifly because he was so disturbed by Cat's treatment of Jon that he broke his betrothal to avoid bringing a bastard to his marriage, and having them be mistreated by his wife.

Not at all implied. Robb genuinely believes that his mother would be "very kind" to Jon before he leaves for the NW. I'm much more partial to the idea that Robb and Jeyne's trist was orchestrated by the Westerlings realising that teenagers gonna teenager, especially when complex grief and comfort is involved. It seems far more likely that Ned's honour and idealism motivated Robb. But ofc, the majority of the fandom will never miss an opportunity to blame Cat for something.

  1. Jaehaerys purposefully gatekept or intentionally and actively minimised the amount of dragons claimed.

Jaehaerys didn't do cradle eggs, that is true, but this does not neccessarily signal that he withheld dragons. If this was his intention, it would be strange to allow Rhaenys' children, who may one day marry outside of the family, to be gifted eggs.

To assess his non dragon-riding children, they were either members of institutions that require you to forfeit family entitlements, dead before the age of majority, expressed no interest before attempting to steal one, intellectually disabled or did not ask. I'd be very interested to know his answer if Viserra wanted to claim one before she went to White Harbour.

Not having murder lizards before 16 could be Jaehaerys' own philosophy, but not one he felt entitled to push onto others.

  1. Rhaenyra specifically and actively disinherited the Stokeworth and Rosby girls.

No one on their behalf petitioned Rhaenyra for them. This was Daemon's idea, and it is not clear whether they were ever consulted. The anecdote is an anecdote of how entrenched Westerosi patriarchy is and that Rhaenyra is not entirely pure in her intentions, but it is often misconstrued as Rhaenyra pulling the ladder up behind her.

Freefolk Which generation here do you find a bit mysterious

So i do find it a bit strange that Jaehaerys had 13 children.but sadly A ton of them died off . And towards the end of his life Jaehaerys was only able to put his grandchildren on vote consideration for the iron throne ..

A wise and kind fatherly figure to gently guide them onto the right path. My pick would be Jaime.

Just an opinion

I know obviously that there's a ton of stuff that they changed from the books to the t v show and a lot of it was for continuity and combination of characters for the ease of the audience and whatnot , but here's two things that I thought they should have kept in the books that would have made a lot more sense.

  1. Ned Stark in the beginning.

In the beginning of the show , we see ned stark carrying out his duty executing somebody who abandoned the night's watch. In the show ned kills the guy and uses it as an example to teach his kid about justice. He doesn't really take the guy seriously at all and goes about his day.

In the books , this guy is like the fifth or sixth guy that he's had to execute over the past few weeks or months , and he also gets a letter from benjamin telling him how bad the conditions are and that they're losing to the wildlings badly. So ned tells Cat that he's planning on taking his troops north of the wall to take out Mance because he doesn't believe that the white walkers are actually monsters. He just thinks that they're wildlings that are killing the rangers of the night's watch. The only reason he doesn't get to go through with.It is because robert shows up and we know what happens from there.

I think they should have left that in the show.Because it would have shown that ned's decision to leave was much harder. He actually had other plans , and it really showed what the prevailing thought was about what was going on north of the wall and how dangerous it actually was instead of just kind of being ignored and shrugged off.

  1. Jon Snow. On the showThe night's watch killed Jon Snow.Because he wants to let the wildlings through the gate to help them fight against the white walkers that are coming. He wants the night's watch to join with their sworn enemy and forget the past to fight against a common enemy. The reason why most of them kill him is because they have friends and fellow knights watch that have been killed by these people and they just can't let it go. It's personal to them more than it's actually a night's watch rule.

In the books, they kill him because he's trying to get other men of the the watch to abandon their posts and join him to fight Ramsey.Bolton , after ramsey , sends him a false letter , telling him that stanis is dead.

The reason why he is executed is one hundred percent because of the violations of the night's watch and there's nothing personal about it. In fact , unlike the other scenario where john is trying to convince them to put aside their personal beliefs to save the world, he's asking them to violate their oath for his personal beliefs. In the books they're actually justified in killing him. I mean , some of them do dislike him because he does talk about brokering peace with the wildlings , but his decision to leave the wall has nothing to do with the wildlings.

The night's watch taken oath to never be involved in any conflict between houses in westeros. This is a personal decision, and it only is important to him.It has nothing to do with the night's watch.

The way it is on the showThe night's watch has a duty above and beyond everything to protect the rest of westeros from what's on the other side of the wall , so him asking for a temporary truce with the wildlings to fight a danger on the other side of the wall , actually makes sense.

I'm not an expert on the books , but this is how I understood it , at least.

Post image

So aerys , tywin and steffon were freinds once . aerys already messed up his friendship with tywin by humiliating tywin wife Joanna . So if steffon was alive until robert rebellion would he be in good terms with aerys or would aerys have pissed off steffon as well somehow ..
