Little provocative question. Maybe the more relevant question would be: Do you expect something nice to happen to you in EVE? Not the "this was fun", but the "this was wholesome"-kind of nice. Like someone else gifting you something, or giving you an advice you didnt ask for. Some nice interaction with some random dude that wasn't a corpmate on some random occassion. I'm not talking about having a nice corp, but rather the EVE-folk in general that you randomly run into.
Im asking because I don't experience those. Rather in spite, I notice many pilots in EVE to be (in lack of a better word) rude. And I'm not talking about the "This is a PVP-Game!"-kind of hostileness. It's okay to get killed as part of the game. I dont grasp the fun behind ganking, but accept that this playstyle is also part of the game. It's rather that even most interactions that don't include shooting each other are still aggressive and mostly egocentric. That many pilotes dont follow rules that must not be followed, but would be nice to. Like leaving an exploration or combat site to the pilot to first arrive at it. Like fully clearing those sites to quicken the respawn instead of simply picking the best containers and leaving the rest untouched. Those "Put the shopping cart back to where you got it"-kind of rules.
And I'm getting the ick from it. Because playing MMO-Games is something I do to be part of a community I want to be part of. This may be a community of gore-loving idiots on a rampage that have fun by shooting each other up; it's the point of Games in general that you can feel connected to people you are trying to kill in the nastiest ways ingame. But its something different to be hostile by the rules of the game or to be... well, rude to each other and seemingly not care about others or the community at all.
But maybe this is part of the game itself. I read a lot of comments that said that playing EVE is their way of venting by breaking free of every social norm. That being able to be rude is what exactly makes the game interesting to them. So I could rephrase the question to "Is being an inconsiderate asshole part of the EVE-experience for you?". Which is - notably - not saying that you ARE an asshole, but being able to be one ingame is part of your playstyle. And - consequently - expect others to do the same.

I’ve heard a lot of about the game but never played and dont really know how the game works but now im on it, lets see how it goes
Recently, I decided to try my hand at industry, see what it's all about. Like many beginning industrialists, I started with producing some T2 Ammunition, since they're pretty simple to produce, they sell okay-ish, and it's just a good way to get a feel for the entire invention-production process, I think.
Anyway, yesterday I put a fresh batch of some 250 000 rounds on the market in my local market hub. By the time I went to bed a good bit of that batch had already been bought by several perfectly normal looking orders, and one guy who apparently needed exactly 806 rounds. This means that I had 131 274 of rounds left over in the sell order.
This morning I log in to see that the entire remainder of my order had been bought. So far so good, someone needed a lot of ammo. I look at the market, and see a sell order, not from me, for exactly 131 274 rounds, listed at 0.10 ISK higher than my sell order. Even weirder, as of posting this, my sell order was completed about an hour ago, yet the new sell order shows it has 89d 7h remaining.
What's going on here? Nothing about this makes any sense to me. The number is way too specific to be a coincidence. I don't get how this could be market manipulation, as it's only listed at 0.10 ISK higher than my old order. And the sell order for this very specific number of rounds was apparently made ~16 hours before that same very specific number rounds was actually bought? What?

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I've been playing EVE for a few months now and currently have around 40M SP, pretty much all of which I've invested into combat skills.
I've maxed out the Magic 14, unlocked quite a few Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar ships, mainly cruisers and battlecruisers, and have all the corresponding T2 weapons unlocked. Most of my support skills are at IV. I've also trained into ECM and can fly T3Cs with pretty decent subsystem skills.
So I'd say I've got a fairly versatile character, mainly focused on small-gang PvP.
Now I'm wondering whether it would be better to get all those remaining support and specialization skills to V before moving on to bigger ships, or if I should just start training into battleships and eventually marauders.
Another thing I'm considering is the SP efficiency of Large Skill Injectors. Since I'm still below 50M SP, I get 400k SP per injector instead of 300k, so wouldn't it make more sense to train some of those expensive battleship and marauder skills now rather than later?
The thing is, I really like the Hyperion and would love to fly it, but at the same time I feel like investing heavily into Gallente battleships is a bit of a waste. Mainly because the Kronos seems to be subpar compared to the other marauders in most situations, at least from what I've read.
So I'm kind of stuck between maxing out what I already have, going for ships I actually like or simply training into something that's more useful in the long run.
What would you guys do in my position? Would you focus on getting those remaining skills to V or start moving towards battleships and marauders?

Every now and then, I take a moment to read the information about objects in various systems (for instance, stars).
Red giants will eventually end as supernovae, destroying all nearby systems (though this won't happen for millions of years).
Has this ever actually occurred?
Would you care to share the story—both in terms of the lore of New Eden and from the perspective of the players?

Anyone try a polarized fit in these sites? How much raw damage do you need to tank?

Not sure if I am being a complete idiot or if there is something bugged so I thought I would ask.
I've tried to use PI templates from planetsinspace and eve-uni but am facing an invalid format error. I regularly upgrade the CC before trying the import, and I confirm the planet type listed on the template matches the planet I am trying to place it on. I have also run the clipboard text through a JSON validator to see of spaces or other crud is being introduced, but the JSON is validated.
It sure seems like I am doing something wrong in the EVE client, am I missing something? I've been making my factory setups manually and would really prefer not to do that going forward as installation placement, link placement, and routing can be ti,e consuming/ Thanks!

Eyeing this since i was a kid with Lineage 2... Used to look at others playing in internet cafes endless menus and intimidating interface. Learned about that controversy in a magazine where someone earned real life money for exploiting the system. Love sci fi but never got to play because of negative reviews, subscription model etc.
I'm 32 now, limited time and money, gave it a shot and have to say it's awesome. Love how it's player driven. Thought only Elite Dangerous does this.
It's not THAT astrophysics level complicated to find a nice loop especially with the safe system option. Granted the market and politics need reading but in 2 hours i was comfortable, quickly picking up features, once you learn menus you'll be flying. It's even less annoying than Elite in that aspect.
After you feel ready and complete all career's tutorial options, have a decent ship and skills where are you heading to ?
Honestly i don't think I'll becoming a top premium player, a battleship/frigate would be nice in the far future and support the war/faction in the background, will find a way to support the company without omega subscription. What else there is ?

A while ago I figured that the description of the Radial Velocity was backwards (see linked post below) so I messaged support but never got a response back
https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/1thlyej/is_the_explanation_for_radial_velocity_backwards/
Today while playing around with my Overview filter settings I saw that it got fixed which got me giddy with excitement
Thanks for listening FCCP

Done a whole tonne of class 2’s. Sold a bunch of things and canned my way around New Eden to finish the roadmap for CH26. My toon is 2 months in and I’m skilling accordingly but t2 guns are a bit away whilst I skill towards mainly cruiser FW PvP.
However, I am wanting to try out the event gauntlet in a Bd and wrap the other event tasks in case there is an extension (?). So would a Mega be viable as I’m primarily Gallente ship inclined?
I see Kronos’ being used but I’m quite aways from that, or Vargas etc. but nothing that can help someone without 30mil SP.
So would a t2 fit Mega, minus t2 blasters be able to run gauntlets? Assuming with webs and active tank?

what people are wanting to panic sell C type med armor reppers in Kador? and what people are like "untapped market!"
I am just confused by both sides of this transaction.

As it stands today when I select a system for my auto pilot to avoid, that means I won't transit any of its gates. What if I just don't want to go through a particular gate in/out of that system in favor of another one? Obviously this might mean more gate jumps through other systems and a longer overall trip, but I'm OK with that.
To be frank, I'd be OK with the auto pilot randomly selecting any other gate when I've precluded a gate. One obvious use of this is when I know there's a gate camp on particular gate in what's just become an undesirable system. This improvement to auto pilot's "avoid" capability would allow the it to route automatically through additional systems but still have to transit the undesirable system using other gates.
Also in transitioning from high to low (or vice versa), if there was a choice of a slight detour, then "avoid gate" in the auto pilot would cause me to favor the less used route with a few additional gate jumps.
