Long long story so I'll keep it short:

I have had a bad relationship with my sister in law for 5 years now. She's been treating me badly and told me directly that she doesn't like me and never will. (That was the last conversation we had years ago).

I have performed cord cuttings a few times and I did feel that they helped but usually after some time passed I'd feel the need to repeat it.

The last two years her and her husbands behavior has shifted and they now perpetually inundate us with announcements of very expensive purchases. I'm talking hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent in a very short amount of time on frivolous things. My husband and I are both really irritated because every month we receive news about their spending either from them directly or from his mother. It's seriously non stop. Everytime we speak to them they will unprompted tell us about their next big purchase and provide dollar amounts. It feels very insidious and competitive. We've never cared about who has what or who makes more money so it's jarring to repeatedly be exposed to this behavior.

I'm trying to figure out how to navigate this from an energy perspective. Obviously I need to ignore it and I do try to but I am not exaggerating when I say they're bringing this behavior to our attention every few weeks. We have moved very far away for many reasons and I've gone no contact with them in the past (before feeling like I was overreacting and opening a line of communication again.)

What's also odd is that my sister in law was a lot less hostile last time I saw her but I feel very guarded because absolutely nothing has changed in our relationship. She usually completely shuts me out by pretending I don't exist and avoiding eye contact. She still wouldn't engage with me but I caught her looking my way and smiling when I gave a compliment on their most recent huge purchase.

Any advice? Any ideas on how to ward off this weird behavior from them, especially because it feels as if it's very negative energy directed at us...

I dont know if its a form of glamour magic but i consider it a form of it, I calmed myself down a bit and while i was working on it, I praised myself for what parts of myself i payed attention to, I told myself affirmations (im working really hard on self love and overall healing) and basically was feeling a heavy mood towards myself as if i was my own partner, I figured it was healthy to do so until i remembered how most people actually take it too far and marry themselves. That isnt where Im going with this but it made me want to look into it more as my practice is currently energy work, prayers and cleansings with sound/intent/sunlight/ any thoughts on this?

I can't believe I'm writing this. But long ago I decided to see how deep the rabbit hole is - and so, here I am.

I've been hurting for a very long time, and I've been trying to make sense of it for almost as long. Drove me to some really dark places.

Well, I never found something - a cause - that seemed proportionate to the hurt. With all probability there is no such thing - just a bunch of smaller causes.

But there is one thing that kind of haunts me. When I was a child, my sister was abused. I might have been there (we were always together). The abuser was a member of my family. I have no memory whatsoever of being abused myself - and I find it unlikely. But I have a hunch that I might have witnessed the abuse.

My sister never showed any sign of mental illness. She's a happy, lively, woman. I - on the other side - have been dealing with mental health issues since I was 15. I'm 37 now.

Over time, some very bizarre idea started to form inside of me. My dad told me that, on one occasion, he took away his girlfriend's physical pain by his intense wish to make her feel better, he kind of imposed his hands on her. He doesn't know how he did it, but it worked. He told me that, the next morning, he was experiencing the same pain she had reported.

It sounds crazy but sometimes I think I might have done the same with my sister. I was very sensitive to the pain of others as a child, especially relatives. So, in my mind, it sounds like something I could have done.

I know it's probably just some kind of fantasy. And I know there is no way I can ever be convinced - no amount of evidence would help. At the same time, some part of me thinks this all sounds True.

I have to get it out of myself, so here it is. I'd appreciate some advice.

I’ve had plenty of fights throughout my life, whether with friends or my parents, and that’s completely normal. But everything changed when I started experimenting with weird magic shit.

I recently discovered I can see people’s aura, and the energy they emit from it. I can see someone try to enter or break my energy field. (I’m an empath and have been drained in friendships not realizing this could be the cause) This recently started happening a month ago. I’m trying to figure out how to harness it. I see people’s aura visually. Some are beautiful- almost majestic.
It’s weird because I’m getting back into socializing after 3 years of independence. It’s helped me figure people out and the type of people I need in my life to function as me.
I hung out with a girl (I’ve hung out, talked to, and acquainted myself with many girls so it’s not something new. I don’t sleep around and physically cannot- it drains me knowing I’m not dating them so “hookup” culture has never been me) And like we did our “studying” together. I sense she sees the same things I do. I’m a very closed off person but very extroverted- people don’t know my life or what I do, but many people know me.
Hanging out with her I watched her energy field absorb into mine. I let someone into my world. And she never responded to texts after the hangout. I felt a huge shock in that moment- as this happened I watched her eyes get wide too. It felt beautiful though. Like I could let a tear out. But I don’t let people into my world, and I don’t let them in subconsciously like that either. But she’s invited into my world from the energy and aura she showed to me. This has never happened to me and there’s a strong sense of need for her now.

I was wondering if this had anything to do with a soul tie, this doesn’t feel natural and is NOT within my state of free will and I have now come to that conscious realisation.

Nightmares too, not sure if they correlate but its the same demonic entity who is a tall woman with long dark hair laughing at me and trying to hurt me in some kind of different way, and this has become a consistent pattern, waking up feeling a weird sense of emptiness and my energy drained.

I haven’t reached out to him in a long time, hoping that this weird constant feeling would just go away and it’s going to be November soon. I feel doomed. It wasn’t even a traumatic relationship I legit rlly wanted it to be him, but this cannot be normal for legit a 1 month relationship. It’s currently 3am, it’s been more distressing for me every night, geniuely losing my mind, and I don’t know what would happen if I reached out but this ONE month relationship is taking up so much of my time, energy and day. And no I don’t do fwb situations anymore, I am very celibate. He’s also said strange things like his energy was a woman? He was a very masculine identifying man tho, not trans at all.

Hello everyone, I really really need advice on this situation and hope someone can help me. I 21F have Known this guy 21M for about 3 years now. We were dating for 6 months before we decided to end it and remain cool with each due to us both handling life responsibilities and school . While we were dating I did sense that there was some jealousy from him. The job I had at the time didn’t require me to do much and most of the time I was just chilling and talking on the phone with him. His job was more demanding and required him to be there very early in the morning everyday, he worked at a warehouse. I only worked on the weekends since I was in school at the time. He was also in the process of becoming a real estate agent and he used to always complain about how I did nothing at my job and that I have it easy and I’m spoiled and I don’t know what real hard-work is. I used to be confused when he would tell me this because we both are young trying to figure out life but I never really put much thought into it. Now since we don’t really talk that often anymore we still have each other on social media. We would watch each other stories on instagram and that’s about it. He would reach out to me every 7-8 months to see how I’m doing and all but it kinda felt like he was trying to get an update on my life. He would ask me if i landed a job after graduating (which i did) and if I have a new car and basically try to guess my finances. I found it weird since he really doesn’t ask how I am doing personally. He’s still at the same warehouse which isn’t a bad thing but it feels like he’s trying to see if I’m doing better than him. Eversince I got my spiritual awakening.
I would be deadass tired/uneasy when certain people enters the room.

One example is granpa’s nephew/mom’s cousin. He’s in his mid 40’s. when I visited my grandpa, he visited as well. And man, after he entered the room, I immediately felt all my energy being drained, like I was dead tired just by looking at him.

Then before he left, I tapped my shoulders (good thing I immediately realized to tap back or he’d steal my luck.) So I tapped him shoulders twice 😝

I (24F) wanted to rant and ask for thoughts on why I can’t make money. I come from a well off family that has given me many opportunities, but adhd and not knowing how / enough / having the time stops me from going after many until it’s too late. Throughout my life I’ve been fine at getting myself into interesting learning spaces, because I’m smart and I have common sense, but they’re not the ones where I’ve been able to make money and it makes me feel rlly stupid. I get heavily praised for having “high potential” by some and can talk to a room full of doctors (I’m getting a stem MS) but I feel like I present myself socially wrong or something because sometimes people’s reactions are like of.. pity? Awkwardness? Maybe it’s just science man. Im genuinely not scared of making money… but why is it that everything I’m interested in and the way life seems to click just leaves me in a position without much, and there are always blocks to making more.

For example, I’m getting my degree in Microbio and infectious diseases at a good uni. However, it’s expensive, and I didn’t qualify for any scholarships (didn’t apply to many but) didn’t get a GRA/TA position or any paid work positions. I have a very low level entry level lab assistant job outside of school that you don’t need a degree to get. Ive been there for almost two years part-time while doing full-time school, and I recently found out all my pt coworkers got hired at a higher pay AND most have been promoted. I asked and got denied “due to lack of funding”. I cant seem to turn any of my volunteer ops (I had 3 this year) into paid ones either, while my cohort members seem to have no issues doing it. In the lab I want to get into most everybody acts fckin weird or ignore me, and I’ve interviewed with them twice with different people, got denied, meanwhile a girl with no experience who wanted to try it “just for fun” volunteered and started working with them within a year.

The point is not to rant abt my cohort, i like them a lot and my job isn’t bad, so i want to know anything and everything abt how people manage or direct their energy into becoming a person who can make money. Or any other intuitive tips you get from reading this 🥴

I’m curious about deep emotional experiences with music. It feels so much more complex than just memories and I’m wondering if there’s a spiritual connection I’m missing.

I’m Native American so drums and singing go way back for me at pow wows, ceremony and funerals. In my younger years I sang choir as a soprano for years. Singing has always made me feel so good, I do have frequent concerts in the car. I feel like I’m on a different frequency sometimes in my flow state. Sidenote I do see music in all its frequencies when I listen but couldn’t read music to save my life. I always just memorized the tones.

Aside from me singing there are certain songs whether it’s a woman belting high notes or I hear drums with singers, I just get this urge to cry with deep emotion but not even in a sad way. It just feels like the only emotion to surface when I really FEEL it.

As I’m writing this it popped into my head, “maybe in order to be more in-tuned, you should try singing while meditating instead of just being quiet”. Do some people feel like it’s easier to channel/heal with vocal assistance or is it just more of a relaxation technique? Seems like a juggle to sing and turn the brain down especially when it’s the higher notes that do it for me.

And even though I lowkey answered part of my own question while writing, I’m compelled to hear other people’s thoughts/experiences on this💜 I would like to find the best ways for me to increase my healing capabilities.

Hi! I'm having some sort of sacral chakra activation qlongside with some kundalini things but it's a bit tumultuous because of my traumas and a part of me that does not want it open. Anyways lately, sometimes when with people, especiallly men, i don't do it intentionally or play a game but i feel like there is this point where i begin to drag energy in from men into my stomach area. It's embarrassing and inappropriate and i just do it or it starts to happen. While it happens, i could be talking about anything, really and be serious and everything. It's not directly sexual but i feel uncomfortable and i wish i didn't do it. What causes this? Or what's the process behind it? Am i just craving masculine energy?

My friend while growing up repeatedly had the same exact dream, and the other day realized that dream happened in real life with his now girlfriend. they both experienced the same exact dream, and when it occurred they were both extremely shocked to realize that dream had occurred in real life.

My friend said growing up he’d dream of this girl, who looks identical to his now gf, and would have a specific scenario play out every time.

I’ve been experiencing something quite strange recently, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
Over the past year, I’ve become increasingly sensitive to what feels like other people’s energy. It’s almost as though I can feel their energetic presence within my body, even when they’re not physically around me.
For example, I might be going about my day, doing something completely normal, and suddenly I’ll feel my ex’s energy come through. It can feel like he’s energetically holding me, moving through me, or even guiding me in some way.
And it’s not just my ex. I experience this with my parents, my grandma, and people I’ve been romantically involved with.
The closest way I can describe it is that it feels like I’m picking up on different nervous system states or energetic imprints of people I’ve connected with.
Sometimes it’s actually really comforting and helpful. For example, today I felt what seemed like my ex’s energy moving through me while I was completing a task, and it genuinely felt as though his presence was helping me get it done. Almost like I was accessing his energy or way of being.
But there’s another side to this that’s becoming quite exhausting.
I’ve been dating over the past year, and I’ve noticed a recurring pattern with around six different people.
I’ll start connecting with someone, and then I’ll experience what feels like their energy coming into my field. It can feel incredibly good, almost like a deep energetic connection or intimacy, even when we’re not physically together.
But then, strangely, the actual connection in the physical world seems to fall away. They’ll become distant, stop communicating, or ghost me.
It’s happened so many times now that I’m starting to wonder what’s going on.
Sometimes I question whether they’re somehow feeling something too, whether I’m picking up on something from them, or whether it’s actually something happening within my own nervous system.
Another example happened this morning. A guy I’d previously dated messaged me, and I felt what I interpreted as his energy being really present. I was listening to music throughout the morning, and afterwards I noticed that all the songs I’d chosen seemed to align with how I imagined he might be feeling about me.
The difficult part is that these experiences can feel so real and emotionally significant that I start fantasizing, imagining possibilities, creating stories, and almost building entire worlds around these connections.
And then I realize that so much of it is based on a feeling rather than anything that’s actually happened between us.
I’m starting to feel like I’m being pulled in a million different directions energetically, especially because it happens with multiple people.
I don’t necessarily want these experiences to stop, because some of them feel genuinely beautiful, comforting, and supportive. But I would love to understand what’s happening and how to navigate it without getting so emotionally caught up in it.
I’m especially curious about whether this could be related to nervous system attunement, emotional memory, attachment, somatic sensitivity, or something people understand through an energetic or spiritual lens.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
How do you distinguish between what feels like another person’s energy and your own emotional or nervous system responses?
And if you have experienced this, how do you stay grounded in yourself without getting swept up in the feelings, fantasies, or perceived connections?

hi! so i tried astral projection for the first time a few days ago. i couldn't actually leave my body, just ended up in a state of deep void, where when i came to my body eventually my jaw hurt a lot possibly because my body was jerked awake. i ended up falling asleep after that, had a really visceral dream, and the phrase "righteous gemstones" felt try familiar when i was looking for a show to watch, almost as if i had collected it while meditating.

anyway ! the next day, someone who's spiritual opinions i value had shared a post about the harms of astral projection. it warned how negative entities or spirits might attach themselves to a body that has a detached soul. psychologically, i did feel slight fear, but i hadn't actually left my body so i felt safe.

the next 2-3 days, i didn't consciously try anything. im just used to entering a meditative headspace before falling asleep, since i used to struggle with severe insomnia, and had to listen to 8 hour guided meditations to sleep a few years ago.

one of these nights, i woke up in an hour or so after i had dosed off / was meditating - im still not sure if i was truly asleep or not, because i felt a weird suffocation, it was extremely dark which made it worse, and i felt as if possibly my akathisia was being triggered.

that night, it felt like my legs were numb / lifeless. i haven't truly felt my life force / qi in my legs area since if i am being honest. it feels as if my legs are just pieces of meat, i can feel my blood in them, i can feel random stabs of pain from time to time, but the loop in which my light circulated feels cut off to me. it might be relevant to mention that i was visiting a rural area when this happened and that place generally has a forest like layout with houses built in between.

at this point, i felt slightly fearful but was still willing to bet that all these thoughts were psychological, and that my ego was fearmongering because of the warning i had read / other rationally explainable stuff.

what has me really weirded out that after i got in a fight with a loved one last night, i think was visualizing hurting them through my energy / seeing them fall / etc. the reason this has really upset me is that ive never actively imagined harming anyone in this way before. during particularly difficult time periods before, when i did wish ill for someone in a state of emotion, i have always regretted that thought as soon as the emotional state ended, and i have never ever in my worst of times imagined harming anyone directly. in fact its been important to me that the other's suffering is not linked to me in any way.

now that my brain is very quickly conjuring up these harmful images for people who have hurt me, i feel very very weird. it almost feels like i have no control over the images of themselves. ive been trying to calm my emotions down / talk to myself out of negativity / and im okay until i see this person and then its like i lose all control? since my emotional states have been much much easier for me to keep a guard on, i find this particularly eerie. before this, i had become someone who was quick to forgiveness and making amends.

im not sure if this is some psychological inner child bullshit or if its something spiritual. i just watched myself be evil today and it was so scary for me because i have never been this person. when i was angry, i wanted a loved one to fall and i was picturing it over and over again, almost in a manifestation manner. and later i heard that someone else did fall (not the person i was imagining tho). I don't think it's necessarily because of what i was imagining, but two people falling a few hours after i was in that state is weird enough for me that i opened this subreddit to get thoughts from other people here.

what do u guys think? is it just my ego going wack? something more sinister? how do i ground myself? i don't want to be this person.

I’ve always been a deep feeler, sensed everyone’s bad energy and would often get drained around people. I also sensed hidden envy or flat out jealousy from people. One time I had enough and tried something. I imagined my energy field and rather than just imagining i’m protected, I would envision dark energy going into my field and feeding me. I also took away my energy from negative or shady people/“friends”. Guess what? My mood instantly lifted, I started gaining clarity and literal physical radiance… as for the shady people, it’s a mystery how they all suddenly looked mad, tired and fell either into sicknesses or started getting accidents left and right. Like today, a girl hit me (might’ve been accidental) and I didn’t respond, right after that she dropped and smashed her phone. Now, I don’t wish bad on anybody, but for all the years I felt used or wronged by others, it feels good as hell to finally take my power back and realize it really is a spiritual world, not a physical one. So… instead of “protecting” we should start accepting the energy we receive, since it’s powerful if we know to alchemize it.

How do you engage with imagination when your body, or a particular part of it, needs to heal, especially when there may be a critical window for recovery? Has imagination been helpful in your experience? Or what are your thoughts on its potential in this context?

I met a guy at a random day party back in May. I actually talked to him. I was there by myself and wanted to talk to some people and ended up saying “nice shirt” to him (genuine compliment) and it turned into a pretty deep convo. Turns out he’s a healer. Channels. Does all this work and we hung outside afterwards a couple times over the next few months.

After getting to know me more and what he’s channeling and where I’m headed, he describes me very well. And knows the energy work we need to do to start with me. I’m curious to know if anyone else has been in this type of work before with a healer and how to pick one, be careful, etc etc. overall it’s been a smooth and I do feel fairly comfortably. I’m 30M btw. And he is mid 30s.

i’m not sure if this makes sense but i have someone close to me who has experiencing horrible anxiety and near a panic attack. I had them lay down and I meditated, hands hovering over them and near the stomach, focused on that energy inside them, pulling it out. I think I ended up transferring it to myself. I got the same gut anxiety feeling they were describing right after I had finished, but their anxiety had lessened considerably. I ended up using some crystals and meditating with some binaural beats, focusing on taking the energy out of me and focusing on the crystals to transfer that anxiety/ negative energy to it instead. Has anyone else gone through something similar? or any tips on how to better protect yourself/ clear yourself when trying to help? Or any advice at all?

Whenever my friend touches me, regardless of which part of my body she touches, I experience a very unpleasant sensation that I find extremely difficult to describe. It happens with or without direct skin-to-skin contact. The longer the contact lasts, the more intense the sensation becomes. And even after the contact stops, the feeling lingers for a while before gradually fading away. Sometimes it takes several minutes, or even over an hour, to completely go away.

It’s not a feeling of heat or cold, nor is it tingling or pins and needles. The closest thing I can compare it to is an electrical sensation, almost like a feeling of nervous tension in the area being touched. It’s hard to explain, but it’s very unpleasant, and I feel a strong need to make the contact stop.

Since I’m autistic, I was wondering whether this could be related to sensory hypersensitivity, or whether it could have something to do with the other person’s energy?

I’m not used to having prolonged physical contact with people, and whenever I have in the past, I’ve never experienced this kind of unpleasant sensation before.

I know this is difficult to describe, but I wanted to ask whether any of you have ever experienced a similar sensation or been in a similar situation, or if you have any idea what might be causing it.

Prior to getting Covid, I was enjoying some pretty good alignment with my environment, was open, aware, receptive.

It’s been a week of feeling totally muddled and headachey, but I’m coming out the other side, I think.

I miss my meditations and synchonicities and… just having an attention span.

What are some gentle ways I can start to heal my personal energy after being so wiped out?
