I don’t like living in a world where people feel entitled to record people in their phones without their consent. Do you feel this way too?

I get it for safety reasons sometimes, but for people that are just minding their own business and in the background or just having a moment of being human and having a bad day, doesn’t mean they need to go viral or publicly shamed for it. It just seems so invasive to people’s privacy.

Would you still be the same person if nobody was watching?

It’s easy to be yourself when people are cheering you on.
But who are you when there’s no audience, no recognition, and nothing to gain?
Do you still show up? Keep your word? Treat people right?
Being authentic isn’t about proving who you are.
It’s about not having to.

What if I’m not who I think I am?

Sometimes I wonder how much of my personality is actually me, and how much is just a collection of things I learned to become. The way I act, the things I hide, the person I show to others. What if I’ve mistaken my defense mechanisms for my personality? What if I’ve spent so much time trying to understand myself that I’ve never really stopped to ask who I would’ve been if certain things had never happened to me? I think there’s a version of me somewhere that I never got to meet, and sometimes I miss them without even knowing who they are.

Morally, behaviorally, humanly.

Who is this "best" person that you know and why are they the best person in your opinion?

Update: Bruhhhh, why this sub has SO MANY old people? lol I don't mind it, but Reddit is mostly young and middle-aged.

Old people love the deep questions?
