I don’t like living in a world where people feel entitled to record people in their phones without their consent. Do you feel this way too?

• Upvotes

I get it for safety reasons sometimes, but for people that are just minding their own business and in the background or just having a moment of being human and having a bad day, doesn’t mean they need to go viral or publicly shamed for it. It just seems so invasive to people’s privacy.

What if I’m not who I think I am?

Sometimes I wonder how much of my personality is actually me, and how much is just a collection of things I learned to become. The way I act, the things I hide, the person I show to others. What if I’ve mistaken my defense mechanisms for my personality? What if I’ve spent so much time trying to understand myself that I’ve never really stopped to ask who I would’ve been if certain things had never happened to me? I think there’s a version of me somewhere that I never got to meet, and sometimes I miss them without even knowing who they are.

Ive realized did i waste my time on hoping for love?

I mean ive wasted so much of my life hoping for love. Hoping to meet one i can build a connection with. A foundation with. Its like they say they like me. They truama dump on me way to fast but oh they said thry liked me and then they ramble on how their ex abused them or how he pretended to be gay to escape her. Im like why the fuck are you telling me that. Now everytime i see one i turn my head so she dont notice me. Im like nope im not gonna get rape allegation. I decided I have no motivation to approach. Any of them anywhere. They wasted my time. And so did i. They mistaked my kindness for weakness.

Who is the BEST person that you know, personally, and WHY are they the best person?

Morally, behaviorally, humanly.

Who is this "best" person that you know and why are they the best person in your opinion?

Update: Bruhhhh, why this sub has SO MANY old people? lol I don't mind it, but Reddit is mostly young and middle-aged.

Old people love the deep questions?

Is it truly possible to rewire your brain/ feel better or stronger? What led you to that path?

Currently 28 realizing I’ve spent msor of my life fearful and engaging in negative self talk. Always scared to try something new or stick to something hard or apply for positions/ opportunities or speak up.

I’m in therapy and Ikeep hearing the brain is adaptive and we as people can really actually change in a meaningful long way but I don’t feel it’s possible
