Successful people, what is your purpose in life?

• Upvotes

I feel like I grew up wanting to be successful, all I wanted was to be perfect. I don’t know how to explain it but whenever someone asked who I wanted to be I didn’t have a specific career in mind all I wanted was to be perfect, have the perfect husband, have the perfect job, the perfect body. Anyways, I’m post grad now working my cushy job after going to my prestigious university and all I can think is about how I want a job at Google, because it’s just the next best thing. I’ve come to the realization that I can’t feel good about myself unless I’m perfect. Almost like my purpose in life is to be impressive, and now that I’m realizing that is not a realistic goal, I feel like I have no purpose. So successful people who wake up every morning motivated to do whatever you do, what is your drive? I’m genuinely curious.

Would you still be the same person if nobody was watching?

It’s easy to be yourself when people are cheering you on.
But who are you when there’s no audience, no recognition, and nothing to gain?
Do you still show up? Keep your word? Treat people right?
Being authentic isn’t about proving who you are.
It’s about not having to.

What does it mean when someone is targeted relentlessly in life?

Not to like brag but I have been told my entire life that I am very good looking and absolutely strikingly gorgeous as a man. I am artistic like to sing and write etc - and what some would can call soft or feminine. On top of that I am highly spiritual and I am only looking for real authentic love. I nees that before intimacy. I am very disciplined. So the thing is: People always target me, both men and women. Like they can’t leave me alone and the problem is that many of them try and want to hurt me both mentally and physically. Even though I am quiet and just minding my own business. I am from Europe so I guess it’s somewhat different. They can say something that they know will upset me, something inappropriate or immoral just to start a fight or take the pleasure in knowing that I will not like it and that most people will agree with their gross ways.

But is that the common experience for all the ones who call themselves ”the chosen ones”. Does anyone feel the same. I wonder if many of these people are demonic or just have evil in their dna. Well that’s for sure.

I don’t call myaelf a chosen one. I just wonder if that’s how they describe themselves and if anyone can relate. I am a bit desperate for someone who can relate to what I am saying.

I don’t like living in a world where people feel entitled to record people in their phones without their consent. Do you feel this way too?

I get it for safety reasons sometimes, but for people that are just minding their own business and in the background or just having a moment of being human and having a bad day, doesn’t mean they need to go viral or publicly shamed for it. It just seems so invasive to people’s privacy.
