Hey all, a thread popped up and was related to the LGBTQ+ community.
We are a simple subreddit who enjoys toy soldiers the way we personally like to enjoy them. This hobby has expanded incredibly and will bring all sorts of people.
This won't hit everyone but please think before you write and post. Some people are immature and will not think a second, no doubt. But re-read what you're about to post to make sure its related to the actual thread. If it is deemed otherwise, I will clean up.
I have given time-outs to a couple of people so far. Do not let it be you.
The Emperor Protects.
UPDATE: I've been getting messages from some of the people that I've taken out and the original poster but let me make myself clear. We do not condone any negativity, hate or backhanded shit here. I cannot speak for the others on the mod team but personally, I do not tolerate any kind of attack. This includes snide remarks and/or "trying to be funny." It's real simple y'all, don't be weird and think about what you write/post.
Thank you to the folks that are reporting some of the problems correctly. Wishing you roll's of 6's on all your saves or the best layer of paint you lay on your model from here on.

I'd like to thank everyone for giving me ideas and tips on how to kitbash my own watch master, this is what I came up with, i don't think it really gives off watch master vibes but I gave it my best with what I had in mind and I think he looks pretty decent for a first attempt

Has anyone done any experimenting with the Gravis Linebreaker and siege force detachments? On paper buffing the Indomitor sounds fantastic so I wonder if anyone’s tried it out and can feedback, whether or not the linebreaker or siege force is better, and which other detachments you’d use it with

So this is a slightly silly question— not even remotely gameplay relevant, and unlikely to be anytime soon— but it does bear on customizing Marines’ loadout for visual effect, so this seemed like the right subreddit to get feedback and opinions.
Thinking back to the bad old days when Reivers could only have grapnel launchers or grav chutes (and— outside of Spectrus kill teams— could only have one weapon loadout), which seems most appropriate for which loadout? Grapnels for close combat, grav chutes for carbines, or the other way around?
I want to have a consistent look for my Reivers, and this also gives them a tiny bit of futureproofing in case GW ever backtracks and stops being generous with their gear.

I went through and updated my Killteams per the latest 11e changes. These guys are out of work for now. All and all it was not too bad. I pulled these guys out and swappped in a couple I had in reserves. I have two new marines I need to build for the new heavy bolt pistol and chainsword warhear in my second Fortis KT. I need to map out a pure SM army organization tonight. Most if these will end up in that list.

Whats y’all’s thoughts on my chaplains Crozius?
I wanred it to work with him, but I’m starting to feel like it’s too much…
Its a kit bash chaplain with jump pack that took me longer than expected since they took off the customization for him now I don’t get to use the inferno pistol :(

Hi, so im starting to get into WH40k. I played some games on tabletop with friends and watched several YT batte reports. So the deathwatch is the army I like most and played most of the games but when i got into thinking about buying sets etc. my problem is that deathwatch is looking rather scary..weird updates to killteams, deathwatch support detachment concers me if the GW will decide just to make it more like subfaction to have in your other chapters armies. So yeah im asking for any wishfull thinking about our black boys and hope that they dont dissapear from the game (and will be playable)

I've only had the chance to play Purge so far and been doing alright with it, which one is better?

This is the only update for us from today. Still a lot more bugs left. But this can open a lot of new combos and now Im really thinking of running the gravis detachments with Terminator detachments.

The fact that we have mostly fixed loadouts now is really weird to begin with since their previous approach was to try to outdate kitbashing but whatever.
I am not even going to start a rant on what they did to the Fortis KT but what were they thinking with the Spectrus?
And there's so much more like the Indomitor ability nerf. Of course I am happy the Meltas got a massive buff (though that comes from the Space Marine upgrade) and the Aggressors got good ranged now, too. But then they seems to have forgotten that changing the +2S to +1S means that the HB/HBR and melee gets a lot worse.
What is GW's intention? It really feels like we're being targeted for some reason, even more so when you look at other chapters. Ultramarines for example got buffed atop of the baseline upgrades - look at the Victrix, they got massive buffs with same or less points realistically.

I’ve tested new BSTF and new IKTs, and tbh I’m starting to remember 9th edition with our best win rate. So, what are your opinions on 2k list?
My idea is:
1x5 DW Terminators with CML
2x5 DW Terminators with Plasma Cannon
2x10 DW Veterans (4TH, 4 Boltguns & Power Weapons, 1 Black shield, 1 Xenophase Sword & Combi Weapon) + Watch Master/ Watch Captain Artemis
2x5 DW Veteran ( 1 IHB, 1 DWFC, 1 Stalker Pattern, 1 Boltgun & Power Swords, 1 Xenophase Sword & Combi Weapon)
What do I think of such core units and what would you recommend as detachments

I'm curious how everyone else chooses their chapters for Kill Teams.
Also, are there any chapters you absolutely won't include, and why?
For me I like to have at least 2/3 be from different progenitors and then I'll occasionally double up.

And our decimus got updated keywords. Thoughts?

Still a WIP but I'm thinking penumbral Talon or Raptor.

Hey everyone,
Just wondering how people are currently running the Decimus Kill Team.
I've noticed that the app is now showing the Lieutenant with a Gravis statline, which has left me a bit confused about how the unit is supposed to function on the tabletop.
In particular, how are people handling the mixed Toughness values within the unit? Which Toughness are you using when your opponent rolls to wound ?
Are people playing it as shown in the app, or is there an FAQ or clarification I've missed?
Curious to hear how everyone is interpreting and playing this unit at the moment.

Is it better to run a mixed squad or go all in on melee or shooting?
