I was homeschooled during covid,

I presented a high school sealed transcript in hand from my school in person to cuny admissions,

they OPENED IT in front of me and rejected it, and requested a sealed transcript to be mailed directly from my school

my school has since closed down after covid, what do I do?

now i dont have another SEALED transcript and its causing me problem to get into any colleges

I applied for a job back at the end of April/beginning of May. I had three CUNY staff references, one of them the tenured chair of a department at the same school as the job. I followed up with the office in late July and again in late August. Finally got a panel interview in mid September (after a call from a staffer's personal cell phone, which was a little strange). Met with six people at the school and it was awkward because there wasn't really any conversation, just Q+A. They were all friendly though so I thought it went well. Now it's been nearly a month and no response to my day-of thank you note or a follow up email. I've been unemployed for a long time, I'm exhausted, and completely drained emotionally, mentally, and financially. I just want a damn job. Is this really going to drag on until I basically just give up on life or is this their way of rejecting me without any notification?

I'm just really ready to end everything because of this horrendous job market and this is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Hey guys! I want to take 2 Winter Writing Intensive classes this winter; they are both asynchronous. Is this a lot? I honestly want to get it over with. Please let me know your thoughts <3 :)

I called their numbers twice the past couple days and no one answers. I find that so weird, is this the usual or am I getting them at bad times? I did call within the hours of operation on their website.

Like damn, i just have a few questions 😭

Hi everyone! I had my in-person interview today for Plaza College’s dental hygiene program in Queens. They told me to wait for a phone call but didn’t give me a timeline.
For anyone who’s been through it, how does the process work after the interview? How long did you wait to hear back, and what were the next steps? I’m excited but nervous, so any insight would help! 😊

it constantly logs me out when i swap to another tab for 5 seconds. it requires me to have my phone on and nearby to login to use 2fa every time it logs me out and then i get distracted by my phone. there’s no app for it that keeps me logged in and trying to navigate the 50 total tabs of information for all my classes is so irritating. The teachers also barely post announcements on there

Does anyone know how much I’d need to pay back for in house collection? What if I don’t have the money to pay it back?

Hi, pretty sure this has been posted before but the posts i saw were deleted and i didn't see full answers so posting again.

Most of the CUNY nursing programs require that you be enrolled in the college before you can apply to their nursing program. is there a way to enroll in multiple CUNY schools so I can apply to multiple CUNY nursing programs? or apply to the nursing programs directly? or do i basically have to pick one CUNY and hope it works?

some info about my specific case (in case it changes anything):
i already have a bachelors and was prenursing so i have the prereqs
i know i can do an absn but I want a more traditional pace than the 'as fast as possible' pace typical of absn programs

Does anyone know of any CUNY schools that hold A&P classes in the Winter semester?

Any experience with this class in that timeframe?

I was thinking of just biting the bullet and taking it during the winter so that I could finish my pre-reqs by next year and not wait another year to apply to my desired program. (I need both A&P 1 and 2 to apply.)

Hi all!

Almost 40 with an AA in General Studies and BA in Anthropology, both from SUNYs.

With the recent announcement of the expansion of the Reconnect program, I'm thinking, why the hell not!

Anyone know any info on this program? It seems like not much has been updated online. I also don't see any majors that feature AI or emerging technologies.

I'm contemplating an AAS in Marketing Management and Sales at City Tech, since I've been working in sales in the tech/financial services sectors for the last 10 years. Also considering CIS but I don't know if I'm computers-y enough to make though all the classes!

Any insight in Reconnect, City Tech, this major or any others would be appreciated.

Has anyone does this particular course of study?

Has anyone done CLEP exams and successfully transferred them to City Tech? I checked on t-rex but nothing was coming up for that school.

I would also be open to BMCC or Megar Evers.

My chem professor disappeared of the face of the earth so the class switched to online and tbh I have no idea what's going on anymore...

If I haven’t been invited to an interview yet does that mean I haven’t been accepted? I applied to the marketing and communications hub a week after applications opend. I’ve see. Many people on this thread say they got invitations a while ago so I’m getting worried.

Professors who only grade you for quizzes and exams are so frustrating. Like there’s no room for error and it’s terrifying. Usually you can pick up your grade in other areas like participation, presentations, homework, discussions, etc. I study my ass off and still don’t get good grades and in go to office hours and tutoring. Literally anything to help and I’m still doing bad and only get graded for huge exams and quizzes.

I'm attending a CUNY community college. I have 2 withdrawals: 1 in stats and 1 in Spanish. And 1 D+, and I'm currently retaking these classes.

I've gotten really, really upset with myself, especially because these could have been easily fixed, but that is not the purpose of this post.

Are my chances of transferring to a 4-year program screwed? Is it worth dropping out? I'm thinking of going to Albany since I wanna change my degree to poli sci, and I have heard that it has a good party life.

On the bright side, I have a pretty decent GPA: 3.08

My fafsa was granted but my college is withholding it until I prove my dependency status. My mom filed her 2024 tax filing status as single even though she is married my parents have a complex relationship im not gonna go into that now the Fafsa has told me to talk to the tax preparer and his asking for 150$personal fee plus the extra money my mom got from the filing status they have to give back around 700$. My dad is legally disabled we dont make that much money. Im not working this semester cuz i thought Fafsa would help me out plus cover for my studies and now I have to pay around 500$ out of pocket for the tuition I am a fulltime student even though im applying for jobs they require a flexible schedule which I dont have. My question is if I change the marital status on my Fafsa application from married to single would my college ask for any divorce documents should I try doing that ?kindly help.

What is the hardest class you ever take in this school before getting in the nursing program?

did anyone ever get an update as to if they were able to pick up or were selected for the free OMNY card?

I have been stuck on this for a while now. I’m a freshman at a CUNY that doesn't offer a Public Health major. I love my current campus and hesitate to transfer to a school like Hunter due to potential credit loss. I am considering the CUNY BA rogram and also heard it might look good on grad school applications (I'm interested in going to PA school).

But would it be a waste of my time if there's already a cuny school that does offer it?

hi, my professor posted that all exams will be delayed for two weeks so they can review the multiple choice section of our recent exam due to reports of violations of academic integrity. what’s this mean for all of the students in the course? it’s like 500 of us and we all got different exam versions so how will the accusation impact us all?

Anybody in champss receive the book stipend and transportation stipend as of yet?

I have a bad feeling that I won’t be able to do the transfer because of the B- I got on my STAT 2000 two semesters ago. but I still wanted to try my luck since I honestly do prefer having access to a stable job that’s high in demand rather than having to compete for a job that basically everyone and their grandmas are trying to get,, my last resort might just be to transfer to stonybrook for their nursing program, that is if I’m even able to get in their scholar program. in any case i do not have much of a preference in what I do in the future but preferably not having to talk excessively… i have a 3.77 gpa right now, sophomore year and I work pt at a clinic as a receptionist, not sure if that does anything. but I definitely would prefer to not work as a clinical receptionist in the future!!! my thoughts are currently all over the place and would like some suggestions on what to do next :’)

just wanted to know what the experience was like. want to do bio research but baruch is NOT the right place to do it. don't want to fully leave baruch but definitely want to find better options. is it "acceptable" to just, cold-email and do research at a cuny that isn't your home cuny? would love to know people's experience and what the path for something like that would be.
