Due to the amount of people posting about being forever alone, I am pinning this thread for general introductions. Reminder not to share any personal information in the comments (no IG, no numbers, etc). So lets stick to this format:

Im sick of smelling these funky odors in class and in the library. I understand not everyone has the time to shop or put their deodrant/perfume/cologne before they leave. But it gets to a point where the whole room smells like armpits. The dollar store and CVS sells cheap and small deodorants you can put in your backpack

I know these are 3 very competitive majors. But I’m wondering which of the three offers the most student support? Like events, financial aid/assistance, paid opportunities, exc. With my first degree I felt like there was no help in building myself outside of my classes so this time around I would actually want to have some sort of experience and some majors have more active resources than others. So I would appreciate it if you all could share!

How is the biomedical informatics program at City Tech? Are the professors and courses good? Is it difficult? How should one prepare if they want to enter?

the bathrooms in Namm building are disgusting, piss everywhere, a mountain of toilet paper on the ground. we’re all adults in college literally why would you go out of your way to make it gross for everyone. what if it’s your family and friends that has to clean that up. luckily i work at a gym nearby and never have to go number 2 but come on guys we have to be better. no one is forcing us to go to college, we all choose to be here so let’s make it a better experience for everyone.

How worthwhile are the courses down the line in the CST department? Asking the Data Sciene, Computer Systems, and Cybersecurity majors. I'm a freshman taking CST 1100 and 1101, and I don't feel like I'm learning alot. Maybe it's the professors? For anyone who found these classes boring too, does it get better?

I’m wondering if we’re able to take A&P I and Intro to Rad at the same time. Has anyone done it before?
I heard you’ll need to know positioning and anatomy for intro to rad. Was it difficult to take both in the same semester and do well?

Hey, I would like to know if city tech allows you to apply to the nursing program with college algebra? Or do I need college algebra + trigonometry?

Currently taking 2309 web programming and says I need 3503 or higher to be accepted. while I continue my education I will be looking to apply later in the future but want to know if it worth it and what it offers.

i’m a rad tech pre requisite student who had bio waived from my HS regents score. i was confused cus the credits were still “missing” in degreeworks so i scheduled an appointment with a rad tech advisor who told me it’s because i still need to make those 4 credits up with another life science course or just wind up taking bio.
my original plan was leave of absence for the spring semester because i’ll be done with all pre reqs this fall. but now i’m thinking to just take the 4 credit class in spring so i dont have to do it during the clinical program.
so what should i take? i dont want to do bio after already completing a&p 1 and 2. dont want to take chem cus i hate chem. dont really want to take physics either cus i know later on i’m gonna have to take radiation physics. plus i want something that’s as chill as possible. i was considering astronomy because the lab and lecture are combined somehow and it seems easy, but it’s completely unrelated to my major lol.
what do you think?
