Highlight I almost turned it off again.

• Upvotes

I was watching the game Monday with my blood pressure bouncing up and down like a yo-yo. When James Cook fumbled, I was like "well s##t, this is over," and reached for the remote. And then I remembered that I turned off the Ravens game last year and I remember Josh telling the fans to NEVER give up on them. So I stayed to watch to what I thought would be the bitter end.

I learned my lesson. Go Bills!

Discuss Anybody else miss the 4000 yard 30+ TD pass Josh Allen era?

Josh's passing stats have been in consistent decline since 2020. Yet hes still the best QB in the NFL and all we do is win games.

But man was it fun to watch him absolutely sling the rock and light up the scoreboard with passing TDs.

News/Analysis Week 5 recap on Medium

Hey Bills Mafia! I’m a lifelong Bills fan of almost 50 years. I’ve been creating a weekly recap of each game that’s meant to be more fun than a traditional recap. I’d love for you all to check it out and let me know what you think. It’s free, I’m not selling anything.

Thank you and Go Bills.

Misc Bills Cat Bumper Sticker

Hey all! I'm looking to get my Bills fan friend a bumper sticker we've both seen around a bunch but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. It looks like the logo but instead of the buffalo its a cat. I searched around on google and ebay but could only find AI slop versions or stickers that were not meant for cars. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please help me out here, it's for her birthday and I really want to get it for her since she talks about how much she loves it. I've seen it on several cars and it's a fairly large sticker, so I believe there is some store somewhere that sells it but just not sure where. Thank you!

Also, if you're not totally sure what I'm talking about I'd also appreciate links to stores that sell "goofy" Bills merch, since something like that would be my backup option if I cannot find the cat sticker (think things in the same realm as a Bills cat sticker lol).

I know sales posts are not allowed, but delete if not allowed Mods:)

Discuss Touches Per Fumble for RB's this year and last.

I've been seeing a lot of discussion on this subreddit in regards to James Cook's fumbling concerns. I mostly see people using total fumbles as a reference point for this, but I think sometimes that can be misleading or not really paint the full picture in regards to this concern. Usage definitely would have an impact on how often a player is fumbling, so I find it more useful to look at touches per fumble to get a good idea. I couldn't find a website that had this information readily available, so I compiled the data to get a better look at the picture. I don't really have a point to this post other than to have some better data to look at for discussions.

For this season I pulled guys with at least 50 touches this year and ended up with a list of 34 running backs. The season is young and I would guess some of these numbers will settle into something similar from last year, but James Cook ranks 32 out of 34 qualifying backs when ranked for touch per fumble at a whopping 25.5 touches per fumble. Even if he were to move up one spot based on his numbers, this would make for a drastic improvement on his fumbling rate.

This is the data from last year. Again, I had to pick an arbitrary number so I chose 150 touches. Again, he ranks toward the bottom of the list, but he is fumbling more than twice as often as he was last year. This gives me hope that his rate with not keep up at his current pace, but either way, he is on the list of guys that fumbles not only the most, but the most per touch.

Again, no real point to this post other than to put the data out there. Curious on what everyone's thoughts are for this.

News/Analysis [Free to Read] Bills change scenery in California, but can they fix their defense before facing Raiders?

Thumbnail
nytimes.com
32 Upvotes

IRVINE, Calif. — The Buffalo Bills escaped Los Angeles with an instant-classic overtime win, beating the Rams 37-34 to improve to 4-1.

However, for the first time since 2012, when the franchise stayed in Phoenix between West Coast games against the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals, the Bills opted not to return to Orchard Park for practice this week.

With a short week ahead of a road game in Las Vegas, the Bills are preparing for the Raiders by practicing at UC Irvine before flying in on Saturday.

What does this rare week look like for the Bills, and what is ahead for them in Week 6 against the Raiders? The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia and Tim Graham discussed it in California.

Buscaglia: Well, Tim, it’s a bit of an unusual week for us. We’ve traded the Orchard Park field house for a few days, and now we’re all settled at the Bren Events Center on the UC Irvine campus as honorary Anteaters for the week. We’re just a short walk from something called the Anteatery, so I, for one, am thrilled.

Graham: The facilities here are interesting compared to what the Bills are used to away from Orchard Park. St. John Fisher University actually has a football program with multiple manicured fields. There is no football team at UC Irvine, where Anteaters fans joke they’ve been undefeated since the school’s founding in 1965. The practice fields are vast and spartan, but they’re grass and ready for whatever prep work the Bills want, and the team is staying at a posh Newport Beach hotel instead of dorm rooms.

Buscaglia: Head coach Joe Brady made a good point about body recovery and not forcing the team on two extra cross-country trips in such a short span. But it’s kind of crazy to think it’s been 14 years since they last did this two-week getaway, and this one has already started way better than the last. If you recall, the Chan Gailey Bills had their doors blown off by the San Francisco 49ers at the old Candlestick Park, 45-3. That was Colin Kaepernick’s second season, and it was the most he’d played in a single game at that point in his career.

Graham: Of course, I remember. I’m not that old. It was back during the Carter administration, right? We thought the Bills would follow up with another clunker, but they somehow regrouped without coming home in between, with some luck. They upset the Arizona Cardinals in overtime thanks to Jay Feely’s 38-yard miss as regulation expired and Bills safety Jairus Byrd’s clutch interception in sudden death. Like the current Bills for most of this season, the Bills that day had a horseshoe implanted somewhere. How can the Bills start winning games consistently without getting lucky, Joe?

Buscaglia: Well, for one, the defense has to start finding some answers. We listened to defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard’s video news conference on the drive from Los Angeles to Irvine, and he was, in his words, “pissed,” so I went back and listened to it two more times. Leonhard’s urgency is notable. All year, we’ve heard from Brady and some of the team that they aren’t worried and that it’s eventually going to click. But with the same problems persisting into mid-October, we’re dangerously close to this being who they are. Leonhard said they need to have honest conversations, though he remained optimistic the answers were in-house.

Buffalo is 8-0 the last 8 regular season games they have given up 31+. The rest of the nfl has only 17 such wins, with only the Bears (3) and Commanders (2) having multiple wins. If only the same held for playoff games.

Image Long road to recovery, but Bills Football and this community are keeping me going

Hey Bills Mafia,

Just wanted to share a quick story with the community. A while back, I had the pleasure of meeting Khalil Shakir at his pet adoption event—an absolute class act who truly embodies what it means to care for Western New York.

Shortly after, I suffered a severe accident, tearing both of my quad tendons in both legs and a quad muscle. It's an incredibly rare and painful condition. I’m currently looking at months bound to a chair with 75 staples in my legs and a long, painful road of physical therapy ahead.

It has taken a heavy toll on me mentally and physically, but being a Bills fan—and watching players like Shakir who fight for every single yard with relentless grit—has taught me the importance of resiliency and perseverance. My recovery is difficult, but like our Bills, I stay focused on just keeping putting the ball down and driving forward.

Meeting Khalil in person showed me the heart of this team, and his work ethic on the field gives me something to channel during PT every single day. I'm sharing this here because Bills Mafia is more than just football. It's about a community that supports each other, builds on our love for one another, and lifts each other up.

Cheering on the Bills every week remains the absolute highlight keeping my spirits high. Thanks for being the best fanbase in sports.

Be good. Do good. God bless. Go Bills! 💙❤️

Does anyone else think that Josh didn’t slide once against the Rams because he wanted to quiet the rumor he was injured? Whether he is or isn’t, I feel like this was an amazing mind f**k for the rest of the league.

Last night Steve Tasker, Chris Brown and the One Bills Live crew came out to visit our Bills Backers chapter in Newport Beach, CA. They were so cool, taking pictures and signing autographs for everyone, definitely a cool night after an amazing game the night before!

If you live in the OC/LA area and don’t have a Bills Backer home, look up the Buffalo Bills Backers of Orange County: Bills at the Beach (Newport Beach), there are anywhere from 200-600 Bills fans every game!

Discuss We should rest DJ Moore this week again. Give him this week and the bye week to heal from injury before we play the Ravens.

It will be tough not having DJ Moore again. But honestly we should go try to finish business without him again. If we can win this Sunday without him he will have 2 extra weeks for his injury to go away and hell be back healthy vs the Ravens. Which is definitely a game we will need him for.

Discuss Ranking Josh Allen’s 100 career wins (so far)

Firstly, let me say that I hope this be just the first hundred of many hundreds of wins for the only QB in NFL history.

We are privileged to have such an incredible leader on the field, and thought it would be fun/interesting to compare the 100 games, in terms of Josh’s performances.

Please correct me and/or make suggestions wherever I am wrong!!

And ultimately, Be Good, Do Good and Go Bills!

Onto the rankings…

***

Honourable mentions to losses that are worth mentioning - aka “Losses in spite of Josh”

-2018 Week 13 @ Miami - record rushing yards, to this day!

-2021 Week 6 @ Titans - not much more Josh could’ve done, other than play run D on Henry?

-2021 Divisional @ KC - no comment

-2023 v Jags

-2024 @ Rams

And now, onto the wins:

Group 1 - aka “do these count?” Technically a start, but not really.

100 - 2025 Week 18 v Jets - ceremonial start

Group 2 - aka “winning in spite of Josh” (inverse of the honourable mentions, above)

99 - 2018 Week 5 v Titans - lowest EPA per dropback of career (-0.41)

98 - 2020 week 8 v Pats

97 - 2024 week 16 v Pats

(Possibly lazy, but two wins 24-21 over the Pats is fun)

96 - 2025 Week 16 @ Browns - pretty darn lucky

95 - 2026 week 4 v Chargers - …yeah…

94 - 2021 Week 17 v Atlanta - lowest Passer rating of career (17.0), handy rushing though

93 - 2019 week 15 @ Steelers - that time Josh played against Duck Hodges

Group 3 - aka “memorable but didnt play that well”

92 - 2022 wild card v Dolphins - stats fairly meh, nearly lost to Skylar Thompson, but a playoff win against a division rival is always memorable

91 - 2018 week 15 v Lions- a fun bookend comparison to this week’s game, beating Matt Stafford in the final quarter.

90 - 2023 week 6 v Giants - 14 points in q4, don’t worry about the first 3 I guess? Got to come up against Tygod, more on that to come.

89 - 2023 week 17 v Pats - meh, Bailey Zappe, but thrashed the enemy so that’s good

88 - 2023 week 15 v Cowboys - large win over a playoff opponent, was really just a huge Jimmy Cook day

87 - 2022 week 4 @ Ravens - defence did the job in second half, Bass game winning FG

86 - 2023 week 14 @ KC - Bass game winning FG

85- 2022 week 12 @ Detroit - two come from behind drives! And a Bass game winning field goal. (To the tune of 12 days of Christmas)

84 - 2020 week 14 v Steelers - big win, mostly on the defence

83 - 2019 week 5 @ Titans

82 - 2019 week 3 v Bengals

81 - 2021 week 2 @ Miami - shut out

80 - 2021 week 4 v Texans - shut out

(Did our defence used to be good?)

79 - 2022 week 14 v Jets

78 - 2020 divisional round v Ravens

Taron Johnson goes 101 yards!

Group 4 - aka “beating up on crap opposition” or “he is too good for you”

77 - 2021 week 15 v Carolina

76 - 2019 week 12 v Broncos

75 - 2023 week 3 @ Commanders - big yikes on their part, AJ Epenesa pick 6

74 - 2022 week 8 v Packers - blew them out of the water by half time, so much that Rodgers wanted to learn lessons from Josh that he had to move into the division

73- 2024 week 10 @ Colts - 2 interceptions, Flacco, but a win’s a win

72 - 2022 week 11 v Browns - Jacoby Brissett

68-71

2025 week 2 @ Jets - Justin Fields went 3/11, so yeah (and got to come up against Tygod)

2023 week 11 v Jets - Zach Wilson 7/15

2021 week 18 v Jets - Zach Wilson 7/20, and Josh was out rated by Trubisky

2024 week 17 v Jets - Rodgers awful, Jets awful (but got to come up against Tygod)… was out rated by Trubisky, though

65-67

2022 week 18 v Pats - Mac Jones

2022 week 13 @ Pats - Mac Jones

2020 week 16 @ Pats - Jarrett Stidham and Cam Newton

61-64

2024 week 9 v Dolphins - only 7 rush yds Josh, really?

2021 week 8 v Dolphins

2019 week 7 v Dolphins

2019 week 2 @ Dolphins

60 - 2023 week 8 v Bucs - standard stuff

59 - 2026 week 2. V Lions - standard stuff

58 - 2023 week 2 v Raiders - only 7 rush yds Josh, really?

57 - 2022 week 16 @ Bears - Justin Fields was pretty good, Josh was his mercurial best and worst, and we won by 22 points. (And he got to come up against Nate Peterman!)

55 and 56 -

2020 week 1 v Jets - a weird time, got the job done

2020 week 7 @ Jets - still a weird time, wanted to give Tyler Bass field goal kicking practice.

53 and 54

2023 week 16 @ Chargers - Easton Stick? Had to beat Dicker’s 16 points.

2020 week 12 v Chargers - out rated by Cole Beasley

52 - divisional round v Ravens - end to end stuff vs Jackson, a thrill to watch

50 and 51

2019 week 9 v Washington - the only time Josh played the R-dsk-ns.

2021 week 3 v Washington - the only time Josh played the Washington Football Team

49 - 2025 week 8 @ Panthers - tried not to be too disrespectful to the Red Rocket, so kept it to just 40-9

47 and 48

2025 week 13 @ Steelers - it was a match that occurred. Beating a playoff opponent/Rodgers on the road is cool, though

2023 wild card v Steelers - Mason Rudolph, but had to get it done

45 and 46 -

2024 week 7 v Titans - Mason Rudolph round 2, and only ONE rush yard, Josh?!

2022 week 2 v Titans - only TEN rush yards, Josh?!

43 and 44

2019 week 1 @ Jets 2019 week 2 @ Giants (Probably lazy, but two away wins in New Jersey in a row is fun, and set up Josh’s first playoff season)

41-42

2025 week 4 v Saints - got us to 4-0, nearly lost to the Saints, so hmm

2021 week 12 @ Saints - Trevor Siemian

40 - 2020 wild card v Colts - a duel with Phil Rivers

39 - 2021 week 10 @ Jets - only 3 rush yards?

Group 5 - aka “all the truly great ones”

38 - 2018 week 12 v Jags - THAT pass to Foster - how did he throw it?

37 - 2024 wild card v Broncos - smack down to the new challengers

36 - 2026 week 5 @ Rams - run run run, first overtime win, 100th win etc etc.

35 - 2026 week 1 @ Texans - huge match off the bat, Josh got it done

34 - 2020 week 16 @ Pats 2020 - Christmas gift to Stef Diggs game

33 - 2021 week 16 @ Pats - Christmas gift to set up the perfect game

32 - 2024 week 8 @ Seattle (Pacific North West Buffalo)

31 - 2020 week 9 v Seattle - stats galore

30 - 2020 week 13 @ San Fran - stats double galore

29 - 2022 week 5 v Steelers - stats triple galore

28 - 2024 week 1 v Cardinals - more NFC West stat galore, 18/23 2 and 2

27 - 2018 week 17 v Miami - 5 TDs - setting up years of dominance over the poor Phins.

26 - 2020 week 17 - tune up before playoffs

25 - 2023 week 18 @ Miami - forcing them onto the road to lose to KC in the playoffs. Thank goodness we avoided that…

24 - 2019 week 11 @ Dolphins - 4 TDs on the road to Fitzmagic

23 - 2024 week 6 @ Jets - coming from behind at Metlife? Yes please.

22 - 2025 week 3 v Miami - took their best shot, still nowhere near enough (ignore the second matchup for the season)

21 - 2022 week 15 v Miami - poor Tua and Phins, took their best shot, and Josh gave the, hope by not scoring for 2 quarters, and losing a fumble, only to score a TD, 2pt conversion and set up the game winning FG

20 - 2020 week 15 @ Broncos - terrific performance and locked up first division win

19 - 2018 week 3 @ Vikings - the win that kicked it all off, hurdling, running and everything in between

18 - 2025 week 14 v Bengals - outduelled Burrow, 4 total TDs, keeping the division in reach

17 - 2021 week 5 @ KC - possibly best statistical game against KC (in a win at least)

16 - 2019 week 13 @ Cowboys - Thanksgiving, maybe the most prominent example to put our boy on the world stage.

15 - 2022 week 1 @ Rams - smoked the Super Bowl champs, carrying on where he left off in the 2021 playoffs.

14 - 2025 week 9 v KC - 23/26 passing, still managed 2 rushing TDs, just Josh things

13 - 2025 week 11 v Bucs - outduelled Baker, keeping the division in reach

12 - 2020 week 2 v Dolphins - outduelled Fitzmagic, that’s a few bonus points to go with 4 passing TDs

11 - 2020 week 4 @ Raiders - outduelled Carr, but docked for the negative 1 rushing yard

10 - 2022 week 6 @ KC - hitting Knox for the game winner, beautiful

9 - 2025 week 15 @ Pats - outduelled Maye, keeping the division in reach, and probably cost him the MVP

8 - 2020 week 3 v Rams - 28-10 up to 32-28 down in the blink of an eye, got it done in the end, 5 total TDs, huge win.

7 - 2024 week 11 v KC - that run, play of the year

6 - 2024 week 3 v Jags - smoked TLaw and Jags, to kickstart the MVP resume

5 - 2024 week 15 @ Lions - 4 total TDs, 48 points? Road win? Wrapping up the MVP resumé.

4 - 2025 week 1 v Ravens - arguably the most memorable game of them all. I guess he could’ve thrown for 400 yards instead of 394, or rushed for 3 TDs, or kicked the winning FG himself?

3 - 2024 week 13 v San Fran - near perfect passer rating shrinks into meaninglessness alongside a rushing AND RECEIVING touchdown. Wow.

2 - 2023 week 4 v Miami - technically the perfect game, statistically. But can’t beat out…

1 - 2021 Wild card v Pats - the truly perfect game

**

Phew! Thanks for everything (so far!) Joshy.

Hello I just picked this football up, it’s deflated, I plan on fixing the ball so it holds air, it has autographs on the ball I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out who signed it I think one of the autos is Bruce smith, the ball is from the 1990s.

Thanks for all the help Go bills
