Work Autstic Recruitment Agencies needed
Hey!
I am diagnosed, early 20s and am looking for work, fully home based. I have tried for 5 years to work outside of my home and damn- it is too much for me, alongside a history of CPTSD and other mental illness as well as learning difficulties. I have a lot of experience and nearly finished my open uni degree.
I have contacted a bunch of autistic charities in the uk to ask for help in finding a job or for further contact details. But just wondering if any one out there has found a particular recruitment agency or place that has helped them find a job that understands the requirements of an autistic person?
I have contacted the ones I tried below incase you guys wanna contact them too!

Politics & Activism PETITION: For better autism services
Quick FYI
Autism Act 2009 is legislation that states a national autism strategy should be in place and updated every 4/5 years to improve support and outcomes for autistic people.
Recent report Time to Deliver showed the latest strategy had failed us and needed urgently updating.
The current strategy was published in 2021 and 'expired' July 2026 - so the new strategy is 3 MONTHS OVERDUE!
Please sign the petition to help pressure government into getting a new strategy publishes urgently.

Vent Rant
Just wanted to rant to somewhere someone may understand.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism at 37. Only after my work offered to cover assessments for staff which I’m very grateful for.
My issue is this narrative that being neurodivergent is a superpower. I have struggled my whole life just meeting basic needs and doing the bare minimum can be overwhelming sometimes. And yet my work show examples of very successful neurodivergent people and I feel like something is deeply wrong with me that I’ve been basically doing an entry level job my whole life which I struggle with still and I don’t have these special skills I just have the negative characteristics.
I haven’t told my work about my diagnosis for fear they may think I’m incapable of doing my job.
I just feel like such a failure and a useless person. I know work isn’t everything but I don’t have much to show for myself outside work.

General & Miscellaneous Experience with coaching from non Autistic coaches?
M50 audhd here.
I am considering paying for coaching as my ability to function has kind of unraveled post diagnosis. I am struggling to move forward in a coherent and positive way. I used to be self employed (25+ years) and I am not sure I can go back to it or need to completely change direction.
A coach has been recommended via the local autism service - to their credit they have stated that they themselves are not Autistic/Adhd (because they know that is important for some of us).
They state that they have worked with a lot of people who are autistic/adhd positively.
I am worried that might not be a good idea, but also recognise that might be a bias on my part formed from bad experiences.
Has anyone had a positive experience being coached by someone who isn't autistic or adhd?
