Legal Allahabad HC Allows Interfaith Couple to Marry Under Special Marriage Act Without Notice Publication, Objections

The Allahabad High Court recently allowed an interfaith couple to solemnise their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 without publication of the marriage notice or inviting objections, holding that the requirements under Sections 6 and 7 could be dispensed with in the peculiar circumstances of the case where the couple apprehended danger to their life and liberty.

The interfaith couple moved the high court seeking directions concerning solemnisation of their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. They stated that, both being adults, had been in a live-in relationship for two years. They also have a child approximately nine months old. Since, they profess different religions, they wanted to solemnise their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

According to the couple, they apprehended danger to their life and liberty from their parents and relatives because they opposed their relationship. The mother of the female partner lodged an FIR, on June 26, 2025, under Section 140(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, at Police Station P.G.I., Lucknow. In the matter, the investigating officer subsequently recorded in a report that they were majors and were living together.

Rant Exposing a fake monk of jainism- sudha sagar maharaj

So basically, I live in Uttar Pradesh. In our area, there are mainly two religious communities: Jains and Yadavs. I’m Jain, by the way.

In our town, there are a lot of Jains, and many of them are quite wealthy and deeply devoted to Jainism. They strongly follow a Jain monk named Acharya Sudha Sagar Ji Maharaj. They believe in almost everything he says and are willing to do pretty much anything for him.

In Jainism, during the monsoon season, monks traditionally stay in one place for around four months. The idea is to avoid travelling during the rainy season because walking on the roads could unintentionally kill small living organisms. You know, “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma” and all that.

So, this monk happened to stay in our town. There is a very famous temple here called Chhetrapaal, which, from what I understand, was also built at his encouragement and with donations from his followers. The people here are so devoted that they actually ended up donating crores of rupees to build it.

My family is also very devoted to him, but honestly, I don’t believe in this man at all. My family initially decided that we would donate around ₹20 lakh to the temple. So they went to meet him, and apparently, he started convincing them that ₹20 lakh was a very small amount and that they should donate much more—at least ₹2 crore.

After a lot of discussion and persuasion within the family, they ended up donating ₹1.5 crore. 🙂

Like, aren’t monks supposed to give up attachment to worldly possessions and moh-maya? Then why does money seem to matter so much? And during his pravachans, he often tells people to donate whatever they can to temples if they visit them regularly, because they use the temple’s facilities, water, etc. Like, seriously? 🙂🙏

Second, when this man came to our town, he apparently told people that he should receive a grand welcome—with a Royal Enfield rally, elephants, horses, bands, and all that. And our town’s people were so devoted that they arranged around 10 elephants, several horses, a rally of around 30 Royal Enfield bikes, 12 DJs, and bands from different states. 🙂🙂

And then I’m just sitting there thinking: where is the renunciation? Where is the detachment from worldly possessions and moh-maya?

Honestly, Jainism started feeling like such a double-faced religion to me. I eventually stopped following it, and now I feel much more peaceful living life on my own terms. I enjoy my life, experience different things, and don’t feel guilty about what I eat anymore. I even eat chicken and mutton. 😋❤️

\#TL;DR

I grew up in a deeply religious Jain community, but over time I started noticing contradictions that made me question it.

My family donated ₹1.5 crore to a temple after initially planning to donate ₹20 lakh, while the monk emphasized donating more.

At the same time, his grand welcome involved elephants, horses, Royal Enfield rallies, DJs, and bands.

To me, it felt contradictory to preach renunciation and moh-maya while being surrounded by such wealth and extravagance.

So I stopped following Jainism and now prefer living life on my own terms.

Casteism Casteist abuse against Abhijit Dipke by Sanatanis and why Hinduism (Brahminism) cannot be reformed only rejected

Post image
79 Upvotes

So Abhijit Dipke is a Navayana Ambedkarite Buddhist. His ancestors the Marathi speaking Mahars gave up their Hindu caste identity and do not identify with Hinduism ie Brahminical religion now

Whatever maybe your views on the CJP but he is the only one who still gets casteist abuse though there are other leaders of the CJP like Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and a host of others.

Sanatanis may talk english even pretend to be atheist but can never get caste out of their head. I still say Hindu Rashtra is just Brahmin Rashtra

.

Forget scheduled castes even other non brahmins are lower in the caste hierarchy to Brahmins. I still don't understand how any non brahmin accepts this degradation which is theologically justified

They have no self respect.

Discussion Do people avoid seggs in navratri and shradh? NSFW

• Upvotes

Hi, I was talking to this mid aged woman (from my family) and she opened up about her sex life. Her menopausal period has been completed.

She told me that her husband is very religious from the start of their marriage, and still he is. That her husband said to not to have sex in navratri and shradh (ok makes sense becuz people say that their ancestors come and God has arrived on earth lol).

And that her husband avoided seggs on Tuesdays and idk maybe Thursday 😭😭😭😭 and also that they had to go to some satsang on Sundays so they also avoided sex on Saturdays 😭🙏🏻

Like is that true? I mean why should one avoid sex in these timelines? 😭 Why is it so wrong to have sex in these events?

Hey! I am menstrual milkshake, you might know me, since I am quite active here.

So, r/ShitSanghisSay_ is a satirical subreddit created to troll Sanghis (obviously) and mock their pathetic takes. Whether they’re RW'ers, liberals, chodes, chintus or “centrists,” satirize them all equally. They deserve it, after all.

You can post their nonsense from any social media platform, whether it’s a ridiculous shit-take in a post/comment or a chud ranting in front of a screen, it's all welcome there. There should just be some shit being spewed. Anything amusing or terrible you find, the joke writes itself. That's it.

It's much like ShitLiberalsSay, but for our Indian sanghis.

We need our fellow atheists to support this place, so here it is.

Discussion It's ridiculous how gullible people are

So,I've always been pretty big into the more wacky side of psychology: stuff like cold reading, magic tricks etcetra. I've had a couple of teachers, and mostly it has been self taught and a couple shows in school and college. People are fun to observe.

Anyway, all my public demonstrations have mostly been around an audience that knows that whatever I'm saying or doing is just a trick, and anyone can pick it up. So I never had a situation where someone from an audience asked me stuff like," Do you think the woman I love will love me back?"

Fast forward to today, I'm visiting a relative for their 5yo's birthday. I was like, yk why NOT go for some party tricks? Now, after I read a couple of people, suddenly this one aunty comes up and starts asking me stuff about how her family business would go. Now, obviously I was like, I can't do that, but she kept insisting regardless. Later I found that she approached my mom and told her that the baba this lady visits apparently can also tell a lot about people just by looking at them, so she's convinced that I have some special powers.

If people don't believe you when you explicitly tell them that there's nothing supernatural with what you're doing, literally what else can you even do at that point

I saw a post about refereal to old post by a muslim guy giving "dawah" to her friend and she started avoiding him after that

I got curious and chose to open the original post
even tho its removed it was so depressing like the people who agreed with the girl's decision were "unpopular opinion"
and so many comments were depressing , its the girls fault , the guy did the right things , blaming her than the guy who creepily tried to convert her and showed his mysogynistic views towards woman

a lot of comments were deleted as well so you can only imagine how much worse it could be

FYI I am a leftist myself. And I hate this fact that muslims behave stupidly.

Hindus forcing a guy to say jai shree ram is wrong but this muslim girl making a hindu girl wear hijab isn't?

How about following their own religion peacefully without forcing or bothering anyone anything?

Hurt Sentiments Billboard with Goddess Durga beside biryani sparks row; Bengal BJP MLA says won't tolerate it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A biryani outlet's poster featuring an image of Goddess Durga alongside the non-veg dish drew objections from locals in West Bengal's Hooghly district, with the local BJP MLA demanding its removal, alleging that it hurt religious sentiments.

A police official said a group of locals had gathered in front of the poster on Sunday, questioning who had authorised the use of the goddess' image alongside a non-vegetarian dish.

The shopkeeper was asked to remove all such posters, the official said.

The BJP's Uttarpara MLA Dipanjan Chakraborty demanded immediate removal of the poster.

"This cannot be tolerated. It is not about eating non-vegetarian food. How can anyone dares to put up an image of Maa Durga alongside biryani?" he posed and claimed that the billboard hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
