With the long predicted Kahazalite Holds leaked we though an updated rumour thread was in order.

It seems the whispers from the aetheric void are back again so we are going to continue to have everyone post the rumours/leaks here to avoid screenshots of TGA forums taking over the subreddit.
Any rumour mongering not in this thread will be removed.

I regularly play AoS with a friend who is getting a little extra movement out of almost everything he does. Usually it's around 0.5-.75", sometimes more. I try to keep things friendly, but it's getting to kinda annoy me.
When he measures movement, he holds his tape measure about 10" above the table and more or less eyeballs where the model should end up. When I occasionally check the distance with the tape measure on the table, he's often moved about 1"–1.5" farther than he should have. If I point it out, he'll insist he already measured it and tell me not to be so difficult.
I've tried showing him how I measure. Put the tape measure on the table with the end touching the model's base, put a fingernail down at the distance you're moving (fingernail facing the model), and move the base right up to that point so you literally can't go further than the move distance. He won't do it this way because he says putting his finger down like that hurts his arm. Instead, he puts his finger down facing the opposite direction, slides the model off the front of his finger, and then often nudges it another quarter inch forward after placing it.
He'll also move a model during a pile-in, place it, move another model, and then decide he wants to redo the first model's movement. But when he puts that first model back, it isn't actually in its original position. He'll say something like, "Okay, this model was here, so now I'm going to pile in over here." The problem is that the model seems to have gained a little extra distance from being repositioned, which then allows him to get additional models into combat that otherwise wouldn't have made it within their 3" pile-in.
He also plays Soulblight Gravelords with a bunch of skeletons on movement trays. After charging into combat, then in combat phase he'll sometimes ask me how many skeletons I think should be able to pile in and fight, without actually moving or measuring them. I don't want to make that call for him because i'd rather him pilot his own army. So I tell him he should make the moves. This happens like everytime, I feel a little insane writing this tbh. He'll then shuffle his movement trays around, decide they're getting in the way, remove the trays entirely, and put the skeletons back down roughly where he thinks they were. Except now, yet again, they're often in slightly different positions that work out better for him. Then he starts doing his pile-ins from those new positions.
i try to show him reasonable ways to measure and tell him that maybe the trays are not actually speeding up the game and making is slower, but it only seems to make he want to do it his way even more and tell my way isn't as good as I think it it is. He takes anything I say as like an attack or if I bring it up in the group warhammer text chat he says I'm weaponizing things against him.
I'm not trying to make our friendly games super competitive. I don't care if someone accidentally moves a model a little too far once in a while. But when it's happening throughout the game, especially with charges and pile-ins where an extra inch can make a big difference, it gets annoying.
So I guess do people have a really mellow attitude when their opponent is measuring? I'm in the wrong for wanting him to move the right distance and .5" over is within reason? Do you all let this kind of stuff slide? What do I do?

So I tried foam for the first time to give him this bit tactical rock to stand on and also so the model would be at an angle to showiff the work I did (and am still going to do) under the wing.
I primed the base (see last pic) with chaos black, then mechanicus standard but the paint didnt adhere to the foam wery well... it created this pockmarked effect that still kinda works for a rock but how can I avoid this in the future? A clear coat first? Any suggestions would be apreciated, thank you!

Isn't it weird to mention the beasts of chaos since it's not an army ? Or am i missing something ?

Hi nerds! We've got the new Khazalite Holds, fully painted and ready to go in a double header this weekend. We've also got a community hang with the new book on Sunday at 11am Pacific.
