Hi, as the title say, I am looking at 2014 accord sports which has 124k miles on it. I am getting it inspected tomorrow for an independent mechanic.
Just wanted to ask is it worth buying? Are there any known issues I should be aware of? It cost $11.5k

Hey guys, this weekend my coke zero spilled all over & got into my ebrake switch? I’m in Los Angeles california, I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this or how much is expected to pay for this repair?? I need help. Idk if I should fix since I am trading it in about 2 months. Was wondering if it’s worth fixing for a better trade in value but I’m just not too sure how much is expected for this repair?

Just got my first car, I don't know much about its specs, all I know is that it's a good car, but was wondering about speaker sizes.
Dad tested the speakers and found out the ones I have are blown out, so I need new ones. I'm a bit of an audiophile and prefer my music detailed... So I also need some quality speaker brands as well.
Any answer is appreciated. :-)

I crashed my accord a while back and finally got the motivation to fix it up and mod it. Just wondering where I can find parts and how easy it is to mod

Hello Everyone,
I have a 2008 Honda Accord V6 4-Door! It’s a great vehicle and has treated me well. It is a 18 year old car!
My ABS + VSA + Parking Break “LIGHTS” are on the Dashboard (See Picture) The diagnostic I received is the ABS/VSA Module is needing to be replaced. My mechanics stated this is an issue with the 8th Generation Accord. The cost of the repair is quite large.
My question: Can I still drive the 2008 Honda Accord in the Canadian Winters with the issues I spoke of: ABS/VSA Module.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Hey guys! I recently bought an 07 Honda Accord EX 2.4L, and it’s been going through an insane amount of oil. Me and my SO went on a road trip and ended up going through about 11qts in around 2k miles… so yeah…. I also recently did an oil change and 270 miles later there was basically no oil in it. There are no signs of leaking or burning, so not quite sure what’s going on. It does have 224,000 miles on it, but even with it being that high, it shouldn’t be going through that amount of oil. Oil does seem to get pretty dirty pretty quickly, and I do think there is some sludge in the system as well. Does anyone know what I can check, or do, or literally anything to try and get this diagnosed and fixed?
(photo is amount of oil left after the oil change)
EDIT: no blue smoke out of exhaust, no smoke in general, no leaks on the ground.
We did do a compression test and got like 190, 190, 175, and 180 (not in that order)
Will definitely be checking the PCV this weekend, thank you!

TL;DR: Honda won't fix my car so I made an app to keep gathering proof.
My 2018 Accord Hybrid appears to have the engine misfire problem Honda just put out a service bulletin for (https://www.kbb.com/car-news/honda-models-get-extended-warranty-over-head-gaskets/). Neither my dealer nor Honda will approve the repair unless two things are true: the code has to be showing when I bring it in, and the code has to survive turning the car off, waiting, and then turning it back on.
In the 5 years I've been dealing with the problem (random and infrequent loss of power at highway speeds, flashing check engine light, unable to maintain about 50 mph), we've gone from changing spark plugs, months at a time in the service center, to a partial teardown (at my expense) a diagnosis of a timing belt that may or may not have needed to be replaced, and finally 3 months this year so far in the service center.
Regarding the misfire code itself, at their instruction (service center and Honda corporate), we drove it to the service center while the problem was actively happening...on the highway, with check engine light flashing and engine very noticeably struggling. They captured the code both times. This past time they all told me that even though they captured it, they needed to be able to capture it a second time in order to approve a repair.
I'm at my wits end. In both cases, we've done what Honda themselves told us to do: bring the car in when it was actively flashing the check engine light. The first time around was pre service bulletin, but this time around the car was IN THE SHOP when the bulletin came out. I honestly don't know what practical avenues I have left to me, so in my frustration I started researching OBD scanners and what I could capture myself. All of this is to basically say that I built an iOS app to help me log and keep track of as much of what I can get from my car as possible. It's called Baseline OBD, and my overall goal was to keep it as minimal and clean as possible, while also being data-rich. It saves pending codes, misfires and freeze frames that would vanish after the next clean drive. I can export it all as a PDF, CSV files and raw records to hand to a mechanic.
I also included a beta idea I had to monitor the car across its own average (the Baseline title comes from this). It shows how close each of the car's own self-tests is to its limit. That includes the catalyst, oxygen sensor, fuel trim, warm-up, 12 V battery and misfires per cylinder. The idea is to catch a part wearing out before the check-engine light comes on. Like I said, this is very beta, so please take it as theoretical and not factual.
Anyway, my impotent frustration is your gain, because I'm releasing it totally free: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/baseline-obd/id6815648278
It only reads, never writes to the car or clears a code. There's no account and no tracking, and everything stays on your phone unless you export it. I've only tested it with the OBDLink CX adapter that I bought for myself, but feel free to try it out with your own and let me know the results (if you're willing). Please let me know if you have any issues or technical problems, solo coded and mostly solo tested.
P.S. My car is even still in the original warranty!

Purchased my first Honda let alone accord yesterday. Have always liked them but was never in a position to be able to afford what I liked. 2016 Touring with the 3.5l v6 84k. I think I’m already in love with this thing. I can see why people don’t give these up very easily.

ive been having an issue with my accord for the last year or better where under light load, hardly under and throttle it begins to shake. (imagine balling up your fists parallel in front of you, then shaking yourself violently) when i let off the gas and put it back on with a little more throttle it doesn’t do it. it doesn’t do it all the time.
im suspicious of the mounts being the issue considering it has the movement it does under load (shown in video).
i would appreciate any tips, ive had two different legitimate transmission specialists drive it and check codes. both werent honda specialists, one said they think it is the trans and the other thinks it isn’t.
also, it shifts normally most times and never really acts like it wont shift (unless you count the shaking)
just looking for other perspectives, thanks!

$100 on eBay for a set of amber delete OEM headlights. Was a pretty easy install just took a couple hours. Old ones were hazy and beginning to peel which was bothering me too much, fresh headlights really make the front end look so clean 🧼

The passenger side headlight assembly died today on our 2024 Accord. Low beams, high beams, turn signals, etc are all dead.
We have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow to have them look at it.
Fortunately we are still in the 3/36 warranty period as the part alone is almost $1000 from the local independent Honda shop.

We recently replaced the clutch and flywheel on this mid-2000s Honda Accord.
The photos show how involved the repair actually is. The transmission and front subframe must be removed just to access the clutch and flywheel. Once apart, we found considerable wear and heat damage on the old flywheel, so both were replaced.
Common signs of clutch wear include:

Was merging lanes going around an uphill curve and ran over a shredded tire in between both lanes and bent the front underside bumper and the middle left splash guard cover fell off being held only by what seems to be 2 components, had to drag it roughly 15ish miles to do things that needed to be done.
I bought some pins at autozone to try and put it back but the pins are too small, i finally found the local honda dealerships carries the flange nuts and pins that will hold them together but there are zero videos online about how to reinstall it unless I'm just blind and can't find one. Anyone able to guide me in the right direction?

Honda dealer was charging me 3500 for a turbo replacement. Car was driving fine so I told them to hold off. AutoZone ran their scanner and found these codes. Is there another fix or is a turbo replacement the only option? This would be for a 2019 accord base.

Hi, I have a 2019 Honda Accord 2.0T. On two occasions while driving on the highway with the A/C running heavy, the car went crazy like a Christmas tree. After letting it sit for a while, it starts working properly again, but I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else, and if so, what you did to fix it. Just to clarify, the first time it happened the battery was old, but the second time it was brand new.

I'm looking at this one from a dealer, 9500$, 150k miles, two owners. Looks mint in the photos but haven't actually gone to see it yet. Clean CARFAX too.
From AI research it's kind of a timebomb but looking at this subreddit I see people getting 300k miles from these on original hybrid batteries.
I can't seem to find many of these for sale used. Is that because they're reliable keepers or time bombs?
