48 hrs since I took misoprostol vaginally, I then took 2 more misoprostol 4hrs after first batch because no progress. I started bleeding then it became v light. Now its become super light, no cramps either. Ive had previous early miscarriage & gave birth, each time, including periods, I bleed a lot and experience intense cramping, clots usually in periods & previous miscarriage and pain. This has not been the case this time round.

I currently feel really full in my lower abdomen/pelvic area & exhausted. Ive tried walking aroundto try mobilise blood flow & sitting on the toilet but nothing. I dont think I’ve passed the pregnancy at all, not enough blood nowhere near. Been advised by abortion provider to wait 7 days but something feels wrong and I just want this over with. Any similar experiences or thoughts? I start my new job on Monday and really dont know what to do and wnated to avoid taking time off as soon as I start. Ive pushed start date by 2 weeks already. Feeling overwhelmed.

I am going through a Medical (Pill) abortion tonight (2nd pills) and curious what to expect. I have had a medical abortion a few years ago at like 5-6 weeks and it was absolutely terrible in terms of pain, and a visible sac/ tissue expelled, shivers, sweats, racing heart, extreme cramps, nausea, diarrhea all at once... so measuring 8 weeks 5 days (but period places me more 9 weeks 3 days), I am even more afraid of serious effects after it begins.

I am thinking of taking 500mg Naproxen, 1000mg Tylenol and 1mg Hydromorphone in advance with Gravol/ pepto-bismol as precaution but worried it may be overkill. I only took a Naproxen last time and zero relief.

How long did it take you to expel the main tissue? Last time it was pretty traumatic cause I could see the sac/ embryo clearly and there was like a gush of liquid....

hi posting this because I just wanted to share my experience. everyone was making it seem like the pain will be 10/10! honestly I took medication to relief the pain 30 minutes before and every 6 hours after. I felt the cramps but it felt like regular cramps to me. I have such a low tolerance with pain so I was terrified.

I used a heating pad and I was able to sleep over night. I did get up to change my pad. next day I’m able to get up but here and there I feel the cramps. I don’t have to take pills anymore.

honestly the pain for me is a 3/4 out of 10.

This past weekend I found out I’m 3 weeks 5 days pregnant. We were not trying at all and I don’t think I’m ready for a second baby right now. My first baby is only 14 months old. We have a vacation planned at the end of February, I don’t want to give up another entire summer for a newborn. It feels selfish, but I think it’s the right thing to do. I’m 20 and I’m not sure if I want an abortion. My boyfriend 21 does. I’ve had one before and it felt like the right decision and I still feel like it was. But it was still hard on my psyche. I took mifeprostone Monday at 9.15am. I then took misoprostol Tuesday at 9.30. I would have been just under 6 weeks. By 13:30, I had diarrhoea and null pain but no bleeding so took the third dose then. I then had bleeding, but mostly while I was on the toilet. I was sitting/resting all day, so I suppose the blood pooled and only came out when I was on the toilet. I didn’t experience a lot of pain and never felt contraction like cramps, mostly just dull pain that was most discomfort than anything. Because I lost most blood in the toilet, I’m unsure whether I passed tissue. It’s Thursday now and I am bleeding into pads and losing blood in toilet, not a concerning amount. I’m still feeling some light cramping. Should I be concerned I didn’t have massive pain or cramping?

Hi! First of all I would like to thank those who left a kind comment on my previous post. They were extremely helpful. Now I wanted to share my experience for others in need.

I got my abortion done by suction (moderate sedation + local anesthesia) at a small clinic in Newfoundland, Canada (Athene Health Centre aka Clinic 215). I'm glad I went with SA, I was initially considering MA but got terrified after reading all the horror stories here.

I was at the clinic for about 5 hours total, where they provided me paperwork, counseling, ultrasound, medication and IV, and then finally the suction procedure. My experience was very positive.

I would say the scariest part for me was IV insertion, since I've never had it in me before and I HATE needles. But the nurses were kind and quick! I just felt a pinch.

Here is how the procedure went: after getting the IV tube in, they gave me ibuprofen, antibiotics, and some kind of anxiety pill to take. Then two more pills to keep between my gum and cheek for 30 minutes. After about 1.5 hours it was time. They made me change my bottoms to a wrap skirt and wait a little in a comfy reclining chair with a heating pad and a blanket. When I moved to the operation room I laid down on a gynecology bed, had versed and fentanyl injected through IV, then started to feel loopy after a few seconds. I was still awake and felt what was going on - the needles for local anesthetic, and some tools doing whatever inside. Just very sleepy, and not painful. They had a screen on the ceiling showing beautiful art and photos, but I think I had my eyes shut for the most of it lol. After about 5 minutes it started to feel really uncomfortable (closer to itchy than painful), but then boom everything was done!!! They put me in a wheelchair, took me to the recovery room, and gave me a heating pad +blanket + cookies and apple juice while I rested for 30 minutes. I felt completely normal after. I don't remember when I put my pants back on though lol.

I had a normal period-like back pain afterwards until this morning with some bleeding (procedure was yesterday), but otherwise I'm doing fine. I am back to my normal schedule today! Everyone at the clinic was so kind and non-judgemental. I could not have asked for a better environment.

From my experience I highly recommend the suction procedure method. I've never had MA so I don't know what it would be like, but I will just say that I'm glad I went with SA.

I feel really stupid, I have positive tests. I was just planning on leaving my partner, who always showed signs of being abusive but now has really become so. this is a repeated circumstance, I have had an abusive partner and pregnancy before with failed prevention methods (not just an IUD). I don’t want to believe he’s abusive but he is :( in multiple ways. I always find some excuse.

we are not financially great either, part of that is him being financially unfair, but his parents I’m sure would be supportive of me. and kind of know his behaviour. I’m so sad. He thinks that my emotionality is abusive but it’s in response to his actions although yes I’m sensitive and sometimes give up on myself too easily.

So we have successfully aborted the baby. However, we're quite confused on what to do with the remainings. A person recommended burying/throw it in a river, but we don't have any land to bury it and throwing it in the river seems kinda risky. It's kinda big so flushing it down the toilet is risky too. I took my 4 pills vaginally Tuesday at 11:59pm.
I went to sleep not long after. i woke up around 7am and went to the bathroom - bled a ton.
the second time i went to the bathroom i passed 2 very large clots perse.

Since then i’ve been bleeding, i’ve been using the Always overnight period underwear. Going through one of them a day.

I am still experiencing cramps still though, is that all normal?
Most of my pregnancy symptoms have gone away now.

I took mife at 4 weeks ish and the next day I took miso roughly 4.3 weeks. I had light bleeding after my first dose and bled into the toilet, past a clot. And wiped. Bleeding was light and settled down that night. Barely anything in the pad.

2 days later I bled some more and then started passing brown pieces that were speckled in brown discharge or when I peed. Then it all stopped

My symptoms have gone away. And mostly my nipple soreness is gone. I would technically be a week after first dose of miso today and 5.3 days if it were ongoing.

I’m working myself up. Going to get hcg test today. My first. I’ve been using easy at home tests and I just feel like they should be fading by now, especially since I wasn’t far a long at all.

Any advice If I should be getting a dark positive still or should it be fading by now?!
