I am about 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant, took forever to get the pill through my school provider (im 21 in college) and heres my journey as I am nervous and want to help others nerves
Background: it took a while to get the pills but got them on Tuesday (after waiting a week in a half since I found out) so took the first set of pills on Wednesday. I go to college 6 hours away from home but I called off school for the week to come down home to do it in my own room with my mom and dog. I would definitely recommend anyone to be able to do it in a comfortable environment if you can.
I took the Mifepristone pill at 11 am 10/14/26
The next morning had a bit of nausea and cramping but the day of taking mifepristone I felt fine,
Now it is 10:35 but I took Zofran and Ibuprofen 400 mg almost an hour before to make sure it had enough time.
Wasn't too hungry, but I made sure to eat before taking all my pills, and have my bed set up with heating pad as well as a fan.
11am took second set of pills 10/15/26 - I also took another 400 mg of Ibuprofen just in case so 800 mg total
Almost 15 minutes into letting it dissolve in mouth started feeling not cramping just discomfort, watching youtube to distract myself and already had heating pad on.
11:40 - had SEVERE cramping (note: I dont get the worst period cramps normally so it could just be im not used to them and they hurt more for me) it made me poop and throw up and had more extreme cramps after this, heating pad wasnt helping, heard laying in a downward doggy position helped, which did but cant tell if its because of that or that I took an extra ibuprofen that helped the pain.
12:10 - able to flip over and lay down with heating pad and watch youtube, sort of feel nauseous but just staying laying down.
1pm - mild but manageable cramping in waves of a couple seconds of relief and then pain, tried massage my lower stomach and sometimes that helped, also nausea but not terrible
1:20ish - took a shower, sorta felt normal not a lot of bleeding so far, then ate a bit of food had more cramping thats painful but manageable, drinking water.
2 - i jinx myself every time I say I dont feel pain or theres no blood, after last update proceed to bleed and just passed a big clot that I thought was sac(looking back on this it could have been) but was just a big clot lol not been fun but im surviving just cant wait for it to be over.
2:22- threw up again, been nauseous forever so forced it, dont recommend, I kinda freaked out because at first it didnt work but I think it backed up and caused a lot of pain at first and then all came up.
almost 4 hours in pain is still here, feel like throwing up still,
3:15 - threw up again :/
4:10 -called doctor to ask if I could take another zofran for my nausea and I got approved so just took another 4 mg, still in pain still passing clots and bleeding. Might take another ibuprofen, the pain just wont go away but doctor says it seems like the pills working and on track so.
4:40 - ate popsicle still making me nauseous, hoping crackers can sit well in my stomach, pain has went down a bit more though, still in waves.
5:20- FINALLY seemed to calm down, not nauseous as before, able to get down crackers and ginger ale! feeling way better and taking it easy, almost fell asleep
7pm - it has really calmed down, mild cramps still bleeding but feeling a lot better and can walk around and feel fine almost feeling like a normal period now just a bit more than that.
I will leave it at this for right now, I can update or if you have any questions feel free im an open book. For the most part of the day I was alone, my mom had a bit of work in the morning and then work in the afternoon. She checked in on me in between and heated up the mashed potatoes I had, which unfortunately couldnt keep down, and then after that she got me the crackers and ginger ale when she got back. Very lucky to have her check in on me, and to be able to come home to do this because I could use the bathroom anytime unlike if I was at college. So back to my original point, if you can do it in a comfortable environment please do. While now I want to be around my mom, I liked being alone earlier during the more painful parts and being able to have my private time to be in pain and yell or make noise. Its my personal experience, I wish it was easier like the stories I read, but you will get through it. It does suck but I dont regret it and Im just glad the pain settled down. <3

Please someone answer me I really need it. I already do a consultation and get an email but don't have any updates about the tracking yet.

Iāve made a previous post on here so Iād just thought Iād let everyone know if youāre going to get an abortion with Nupas make sure your under 16 weeks, I have been waiting since 16 weeks for my termination which is due to medical reasons with Nupas.
They rang me today after my procedure was scheduled for one weeks time after postponing it from this week due to them apparently needing my last blood results despite the doctors already having sent it to them to tell me the anaesthesiologist has denied my care due to my gestational age after they have used me for training nurses to scan and do consent forms with??? Theyāve said theyāll refer me to somewhere which is 6 hours away from where I live as I wonāt be getting it done from them I said no to any more referrals as I donāt want to let this wait any longer Iāve now contacted MSI again and they are being so much more helpful and have already booked me in for a phone consult and a pre op, they have also told me if they have any concerns theyāll bleep in a doctor to do a physical for me to ensure Iām 100% safe during and after the procedure but I just cannot believe that this has happened to me.
I feel so helpless despite reaching out to MSI as Iām so scared of getting general anaesthetic I started to feel ok about Nupas but now Iām just so worried all over again.

I had my abortion 3 weeks ago, they estimated me at 10 weeks. So I took all my pills within the 24hours and ended up passing the tissue that night! My bleeding over a week/ week and a half got lighter and lighter until 2 weeks past came and started bleeding a ton! A cup of blood every few hours. Went in ER where they found left over tissue. My HCg was at 4700 and they scheduled my d&c. Got my D&C done and Iām 2 days post op, I feel horrible, fatigued, light headed, lots of abdominal pain and lots of pressure on my rectal area. They did a CT scan where they found a small amount of blood deep in pelvic area. So scheduled for another ultrasound tomorrow. My hcg 2 days post op is 400. Does anyone know why Iām feeling so icky??

Iāve been with my boyfriend 3 years in December.
Last September, we got pregnant, and we both made the decision to have an abortion. This was my first time ever doing this, and even having a pregnancy scare. Iāve never been pro-life, I always supported abortion rights and womenās rights as a whole. But I felt this strange guilt and felt like I was ākillingā my child. Sometimes I still feel upset. I actually had an anxiety attack when it happened.
We talked about contraceptives, I do not take birth control (because of all of the side effects) and he refused to a condom. Which was very upsetting to me.
Fast forward a year and 1 month, I am late on my period for 9 days. And I have been in strife, Iām too anxious to take a test, and I feel paralyzed to make a decision. Iāve been late before and everything was fine, but I noticed recently Iāve been feeling EXTREMELY emotional, like very sensitive and crying a lot. Iām also insanely horny.
Iām just so scared. I know I need to do the responsible thing and take a pregnancy test, and take steps from there. I just feel paralyzed. And I have no one to talk to apart from him.

Iāve posted in here a few times. I regret my abortion more than anything and made my decision in heat of the moment and have never felt more grief in my life. I had d&e at 15 weeks and I am completely traumatized. When will I be able to try for a baby? I was told at the clinic to wait 10 days to insert anything vaginally which means Iām still waiting until Friday. But when will I ovulate? Will my body support another pregnancy so soon? Am I at a greater risk of complications? The only thing that brings my pain any relief is planning for a baby. I was not pregnant on purpose and it brought a lot of stress emotionally and mentally but now I know what I want, unfortunately now that sheās gone š I need advice please.

48 hrs since I took misoprostol vaginally, I then took 2 more misoprostol 4hrs after first batch because no progress. I started bleeding then it became v light. Now its become super light, no cramps either. Ive had previous early miscarriage & gave birth, each time, including periods, I bleed a lot and experience intense cramping, clots usually in periods & previous miscarriage and pain. This has not been the case this time round.
I currently feel really full in my lower abdomen/pelvic area & exhausted. Ive tried walking aroundto try mobilise blood flow & sitting on the toilet but nothing. I dont think Iāve passed the pregnancy at all, not enough blood nowhere near. Been advised by abortion provider to wait 7 days but something feels wrong and I just want this over with. Any similar experiences or thoughts? I start my new job on Monday and really dont know what to do and wnated to avoid taking time off as soon as I start. Ive pushed start date by 2 weeks already. Feeling overwhelmed.

I am going through a Medical (Pill) abortion tonight (2nd pills) and curious what to expect. I have had a medical abortion a few years ago at like 5-6 weeks and it was absolutely terrible in terms of pain, and a visible sac/ tissue expelled, shivers, sweats, racing heart, extreme cramps, nausea, diarrhea all at once... so measuring 8 weeks 5 days (but period places me more 9 weeks 3 days), I am even more afraid of serious effects after it begins.
I am thinking of taking 500mg Naproxen, 1000mg Tylenol and 1mg Hydromorphone in advance with Gravol/ pepto-bismol as precaution but worried it may be overkill. I only took a Naproxen last time and zero relief.
How long did it take you to expel the main tissue? Last time it was pretty traumatic cause I could see the sac/ embryo clearly and there was like a gush of liquid....

hi! I had a surgical abortion on 10/02 and i was almost 7 weeks. I was told to wait at least 2 weeks. Im just curious about how long others waited and their experience after having an abortion. I will admit I am a little worried/scared about the first time.

Iāve just done my second dose of miso under my tongue & they dissolved within maybe 5 minutes. I googled and it says it may not be as effective.

Hi. Located in Ohio. I will be 8 weeks pregnant on Saturday. I have horrible hyperemesis, with a pump and nothing is working. I am in the darkest place mentally Iāve ever been in.
My very best friend just got an abortion a few weeks ago, and has 4 of the miso pillsā¦.just none of the first ones. Can I take those? Will it abort my baby?
I know I sound insane but I am established with an OB and I donāt know how to tell them this. He is pretty conservative, so I think I would have to seek abortion care elsewhere anyway.
I feel horrible and guilty but the HG makes it to where I cannot function.

hi posting this because I just wanted to share my experience. everyone was making it seem like the pain will be 10/10! honestly I took medication to relief the pain 30 minutes before and every 6 hours after. I felt the cramps but it felt like regular cramps to me. I have such a low tolerance with pain so I was terrified.
I used a heating pad and I was able to sleep over night. I did get up to change my pad. next day Iām able to get up but here and there I feel the cramps. I donāt have to take pills anymore.
honestly the pain for me is a 3/4 out of 10.

This past weekend I found out Iām 3 weeks 5 days pregnant. We were not trying at all and I donāt think Iām ready for a second baby right now. My first baby is only 14 months old. We have a vacation planned at the end of February, I donāt want to give up another entire summer for a newborn. It feels selfish, but I think itās the right thing to do. Iām sacred of making a decision and regretting it though. If it was literally 2 or 3 months later Iād be overjoyed and ready for a second baby.
If I go through with an abortion, will I be able to conceive in February/March?

Iām 32 I have birthed 5 children 4 are mine one was a surrogacy pregnancy. Iām in the worst financial position Iāve ever been in and I just found out Iām pregnant from one time mess up. I am having to have an abortion but Iām scared itās going to haunt me forever and Iām scared Iām going to never be able to get pregnant again. My boyfriend doesnāt think itās a big deal but all of it is eating me alive. I havenāt stopped thinking about it. I ordered the pills online for the abortion. Has anyone done that? I canāt afford to go to planned parenthood. Thatās why I ordered them online they were only 25$. Please help ššš

I ordered from aid access and they sent emails including typos and grammatical errors is that normal? it seemed kind of unprofessional and scammish so I was just a little skeptical and worried.

Iām 20 and Iām not sure if I want an abortion. My boyfriend 21 does. Iāve had one before and it felt like the right decision and I still feel like it was. But it was still hard on my psyche. And with this one an abortion doesnāt fully feel right. And I want to keep it. But another part kf me knows we canāt afford a baby right now and we havenāt been together long. And it would also be a lot. And weāre both so young and havenāt lived life much. But heās also the best man Iāve ever been with and Iām so in love with him and weāve talked about how we want to be each others forevers and get married. But Iām worried if I go through with the pregnancy it will make him resent me, or it will make him leave me. And if I get an abortion Iām worried I will regret it.
Add/ edit- I do truly want to be a mom and It was hard on me for my last abortion. I just donāt know what to do. And most importantly I want to be able to give a child a secure life. Weāve talked about having kids in the future but I think he thinks itās too soon now.

I took mifeprostone Monday at 9.15am. I then took misoprostol Tuesday at 9.30. I would have been just under 6 weeks. By 13:30, I had diarrhoea and null pain but no bleeding so took the third dose then. I then had bleeding, but mostly while I was on the toilet. I was sitting/resting all day, so I suppose the blood pooled and only came out when I was on the toilet. I didnāt experience a lot of pain and never felt contraction like cramps, mostly just dull pain that was most discomfort than anything. Because I lost most blood in the toilet, Iām unsure whether I passed tissue. Itās Thursday now and I am bleeding into pads and losing blood in toilet, not a concerning amount. Iām still feeling some light cramping. Should I be concerned I didnāt have massive pain or cramping?

Hi! First of all I would like to thank those who left a kind comment on my previous post. They were extremely helpful. Now I wanted to share my experience for others in need.
I got my abortion done by suction (moderate sedation + local anesthesia) at a small clinic in Newfoundland, Canada (Athene Health Centre aka Clinic 215). I'm glad I went with SA, I was initially considering MA but got terrified after reading all the horror stories here.
I was at the clinic for about 5 hours total, where they provided me paperwork, counseling, ultrasound, medication and IV, and then finally the suction procedure. My experience was very positive.
I would say the scariest part for me was IV insertion, since I've never had it in me before and I HATE needles. But the nurses were kind and quick! I just felt a pinch.
Here is how the procedure went: after getting the IV tube in, they gave me ibuprofen, antibiotics, and some kind of anxiety pill to take. Then two more pills to keep between my gum and cheek for 30 minutes. After about 1.5 hours it was time. They made me change my bottoms to a wrap skirt and wait a little in a comfy reclining chair with a heating pad and a blanket. When I moved to the operation room I laid down on a gynecology bed, had versed and fentanyl injected through IV, then started to feel loopy after a few seconds. I was still awake and felt what was going on - the needles for local anesthetic, and some tools doing whatever inside. Just very sleepy, and not painful. They had a screen on the ceiling showing beautiful art and photos, but I think I had my eyes shut for the most of it lol. After about 5 minutes it started to feel really uncomfortable (closer to itchy than painful), but then boom everything was done!!! They put me in a wheelchair, took me to the recovery room, and gave me a heating pad +blanket + cookies and apple juice while I rested for 30 minutes. I felt completely normal after. I don't remember when I put my pants back on though lol.
I had a normal period-like back pain afterwards until this morning with some bleeding (procedure was yesterday), but otherwise I'm doing fine. I am back to my normal schedule today! Everyone at the clinic was so kind and non-judgemental. I could not have asked for a better environment.
From my experience I highly recommend the suction procedure method. I've never had MA so I don't know what it would be like, but I will just say that I'm glad I went with SA.
