African nature is when you have a visitor, they treat him/her very well. Before we were corrupted, an African would travel anywhere and settle where they think was good for them. They would go to the head chief and announce their arrival, will be given land and if they behave, they will give you a wife.
If you go to Zambia, you can ask anyway especially at the border, they will give you somewhere to sleep, a total stranger.
If one of you wins lotto today, $100 000, the first thing you start to think of is family, cousin, parents to spoil. Now in the western world, that doesn't happen, one man for himself. Your siblings can live in poverty and the millionare won't lift a figure or feel guilty. Old parents are sent to the care home, if you have a kid by mistake, you go and remove it at the hospital.
In the western world they give you fake smile, in African 95% the smile is genuine.
Lobengula didn't sell the country in exchange for sweets and some goodies. He sold the country because of generosity. They smiled at him. Maybe he gave them women.

I seems to be a traditional Sungura beat, but I have tried to find this song everywhere and I can't. I am hoping someone here knows it and can share it

So today l just had a weird but quite normal experience (only weird because of my mindset).... l have this friend mu vet, he likes hanging around a lot so a few hours ago he just sent me a message "Hey bro l have a birthday gift for you" ( my bday is in 3 days time) 🤔 ahhh ndangoitarisa message iya broooo🤦🏽♂️ l felt so embarrassed, haa ndanyara gentrumeni ameno zvandangofeeler panguva iyoyo but haa no mhani...I mean who keeps a bro's bday in mind? Who buys a bro bday gifts?? Ungatobva watova excited zvekundiudza a decade before the actual day ihh wangu, whereas ini muridzi waro lm not even thinking about it?? Im 100% sure if l received this message from my Zim bro zvaisapera mushe.....In retrospect, l just realized how toxic the environment we were raised in really was... An environment where as bros we are expected to act as if WDGAF about each other (tough love they call it) anything beyond that screams GAY!!!!! We have to do better gentrumeni....

Hi guys, how are you?
To those who have done it, how can I get validated on indrive as a driver when you get to the license part and you have a blue copy.
I took my drivers license back in January of 2022, and I still have my blue copy and no disk yet.
I tried to register as a driver in indrive and I could not validate my drivers license within the app. It now says your license is expired.
How do you all go about it?
Thanks to those who will assist.

I do some work with Invisible Technologies and I had to QA some tasks done by Zimbabweans in Zimbabwe. They had to record themselves reading Shona as well as making calls in Shona. For the calls they get matched with another Shona speaking person and talk on call about the given topic. I picked up in some of the conversations that they are paid every Saturday. My job was just to check if the AI tool had transcribed Shona correctly. My question is does anyone know which platform is hiring people to do the Shona recordings? I have relatives and friends in Zim who I know would be happy to make such money..Anyone with info please share..

Fake websites, WhatsApp scams and impersonation pages are becoming increasingly difficult to identify.
I’ve been working on ZimVerify, a Zimbabwe-focused platform where people can check suspicious websites, find official organisation information and report scams.
The idea is simple: check before you trust or pay.
Would something like this actually be useful in Zimbabwe?
Would you want it to check?

Guys, kune vakatenga Starlink, ndibatsireiwo nemaexperience enyu. I’m planning to get a Starlink and I’ve got a few questions.
Ndeipi yakachipa? Kuorder directly from the official Starlink website or kutenga kuma local agents? Pane price difference yakakura here?
Delivery: Kana waorder online, zvinotora nguva yakadii kuti isvike kuZimbabwe?
Monthly subscription: Kana watenga Starlink Mini kumaagents, monthly subscription inoramba iri US$35 here, or zvinoenderana nekuti uri kupi?
Location and pricing: I’m based in Seke, just after Kandava Primary School, near where they’re constructing the new tollgate. I’m not sure if that area falls under Harare in terms of Starlink coverage and pricing. I’ve heard kuti Harare ine higher subscription charges. Is that true, and would it affect someone in my area?
Also, kune vari kushandisa Starlink around Seke or nearby Harare outskirts how’s the network speed and reliability?
Would really appreciate feedback from people who’ve bought and are currently using it, especially around Harare and Seke.
Ndinoda kuita informed decision before spending money. Thanks you:)

Good morning fellow Zim redditors? What advice would you give for someone starting a job of being a CASHIER? You know the USD change situation in Zim! How best can he / she handle difficult customers, thieves and customers who want to change their orders?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Mazda Demio with 54,000 km on it, and I was wondering: when do people usually do a transmission fluid change?
Most Zimbabweans I’ve talked to seem to never do it, even with cars surpassing 100,000 km. I’m thinking about changing mine soon and just want feedback from people knowledgeable about cars. Thanks!

Hey guys, does anyone know of a bank that has decent transaction fees? I'm talking about anything below $4 per transaction like FBC Mastercard is charging?
I'd appreciate if the bank that's recommended also accepts international USD online payments!
Thanks a lot :)
