Unfortunately Blyskawica was closed so just pictures from the pier. Still a great visit. Thanks to the museum and to Wargaming for helping fund it with their gaming room at the museum

Ran away!!
We had caps most of the game so by the time it was just me we still had 2 of 3 caps and the thirds wasn't even fully flipped to red yet. About 2:15 left in the game at that point and just did some quick math - was pretty sure just not dying was good enough. I think I was the 4th highest in base XP so not even top 3. Just played the caps, defended the BB's, ran away.
The only thing I did above average that game was just make good decisions.

Recently a buddy of mine started playing and was having a very dificult time understanding that just because something was a “destroyer” that it could mean many things, like being an HE spam-firing destroyer hunter, to a long range torpedo sniper.
He didnt have the game knowledge to read the stats or know the ships and identify this on his own, and maybe back when WOWS was a baby and the tech trees were much more restricted this worked just fine. But now tech trees are huge with split branches and its a lot for new players.
How would you feel about the addition of very simple “sub-classes” that more directly defines the role of a ship at a glance, like a brawler BB vs a fast BB?
Is this redundant? Or do you think it would find use for new players, or even old players!

If you could buy Datong or Philips van Almonde, and had no existing captains or other ships in those nations, which one would you pick, and why?
Thanks.

I'm very confused what the little zig-zagging torpedoes are on ships like St. Vincent. How are they different from normal torpedoes?
I know that when they came out, people were saying "auto-lock torpedoes", which I don't think is the case since they don't really lock onto anything nor avoid terrain. They just do the same zig-zag pattern and then start going straight. I've always known these torps were in the game, I just never found a proper explanation as to how they're different or if they're meant to have any unique effects or benefits.

I have come back to the game after some time. I got offered these 3 US cruisers in Priority cargo thingy.
Is any of them good? As to the US premiums I have Anchorage, Alabama, Massatchusets, Alaska, Georgia, Ohio.
Is any of these boats uniquely good?

Saving my doubloons for Black Friday but I saw that Mikasa is 30%/off for 1250 dubs, I dont have her and usually play PvE modes. I have Yamamoto with 21 points so I could throw him on there and meme.

i figure its different for all of us?

yahagi meh

Pivot question, how likely is the ship gunna be a coal or doub ship later on

I saw a bunch of my clanmates flexing the deals on the Priority Cargo tab in the armory, but I can't find it. Is it a bug or something?
r/WorldOfWarships • u/Tread_Head5757 • 23h ago
The usual reoccurring random bundle in the armory offers 225,000 credits for 150 doubloons. That works out to 1500 credits per doubloon. This is the standard conversion rate in the armory as well.
In their “Uncharted Seas” event, the New Course random bundle costs 1500 doubloons and gives 1,500,000 credits and 5 tokens. That works out to 1000 credits per doubloon. I get it that this is a gambling event, and the tokens are supposed to hold “value” but Jesus Christ they’re just credits. At least make the booby-prize feel like you’re getting something. I avoid these events like the plague but it’s interesting seeing the lengths WG goes to ensure I remain disinterested.

I'm struggling with this ship.
I have a decent winrate, but only 35k average damage and an awful PR.
It seems the only game impact I have is pressing the radar button at the right time near a cap zone. Radar is nice and all, but I feel the tier 8 Edinburgh can do the same thing better.
The DPM is bad, the range is horrible, the armour is non-existent and the maneuveability is unreliable at best due to poor acceleration.
I either camp behind an island, spot one DD, kill it and end the game with 20k dmg or get one-shotted the second I peak out. I can't brawl at all due to the armour and lack of torpedoes, and I can't really kite either due to the poor range.
How do you guys play this thing?
