I’ve been trying to buy a 5 Day Edge card and I’ve used Flexpay in the past to pay for it. But this year, when I click the Epic Flexpay link, I just get a spinning wheel and it never allows me to complete the purchase. I’ve tried different computers with no luck. It seems like it’s their website. Any advice?

I have ski instructor offers from Whistler Blackcomb & Sun Peaks Resort for this winter (lvl2).

Sun Peaks is the safer option since I’d have staff housing secured, whereas in Whistler I’d still have to apply for staff housing and would be on the waitlist.

My heart is leaning towards Whistler, but I know I could also have an amazing season at Sun Peaks. I’m just really worried about the housing situation in Whistler and the possibility of not finding a place to live. I am travelling from Italy, so I will arrive there at the beginning of November, which is already kind of late as well.

What would you do? Is Whistler worth the risk?

Fall photoshoot with some of our local bear cubs - looks like we have a little female cub along with another little male this season. Changing it up from the two males she had last litter.

See that little dangly bit on the end of her tail? That’s her perennial tuft that helps direct urine away from her body and towards the ground behind her to stay clean and aid in scent marking.

Hi there, I’m coming to whistler this November to do a ski season. Iv got a job lined up working in a shop. However I was just wondering what else I could do to earn a bit of extra cash in case my Job isn’t enough.

So we live in the states, 2500 miles from Whistler. Have been there several times. Would like to do the Black Tusk hike Summer 2027. Are there outfitters who rent gear? Don't really want to check packs, tents, bags, etc. for 4 people.

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.

With Remembrance Day coming up on Nov 11th, and seeing as places like Vancouver and most of the lower mainland, Victoria, Nelson etc etc has free parking for vehicles displaying Veterans Plates.

Why has the RMOW not followed suit???

Whistler is underrated for road cycling! See route ideas below…

Lived here 20 years and love to ride. Lots of good climbing options. The hwy 99 connects them and has a mostly wide, smooth and regularly cycled shoulder… mostly. There are some crappy sections but they don’t last long.

Within the whistler municipality the hwy 99 shoulder is fantastic. To and from Squamish it’s also really good. Most of the way to Pemberton it is good but has a few crappy sections. The highway is regularly cycled both up and down between Squam and Pemberton. Anyone visiting in future can look me up if they want routes or a riding partner. Check my strava for ideas. We are getting married at an outdoor venue in Birken, just north of Pemberton.
It's an small, intimate wedding of 40-50 people.

We are finding wedding caterers to be very limited in the sea-to-sky corridor, Whistler being the closest food scene to our venue.

We've looked into:

But apart from Town Square (who, it seems, are not available for our date), they are all above budget, averaging at 80$/head PLUS service, staff, gratuity AND taxes.

We were hoping to cap it off at 60$/head TOTAL. Maybe unrealistic at this point BUT I would love to know if we're missing anything and if you have any recommendations for our search because that would be VERY appreciated!

I screenshotted these from an Instagram post Blackcomb Construction posted a few days ago. Many of you must have seen it. Oddly, the post was taken down the next day. Did they overstep and Vail had words with them…. Progress looks great. Appears they blasted a saddle into BC Glacier as expected. Note the embankment built guiding skiers to the right after unloading, Similar to top of Seven. Interesting horizontal lift tower. One of the towers looks incredibly tall! I’m putting the bar down for sure.

In the morning there was an RCMP officer walking around with a rifle. Some spectators looking at something out of the YouTube feed range. Anyone give an update? Obviously a bear

As an aside, I've been watching usually 1,but sometimes 2 bears on the YouTube feed of the Whistler golf course first hole. Been eating grass on the fairways for the past montha everyday. Workers around it. It would move off, never aggressive. But last several days, nothing. Just curious as to what's happened. Does convservation have reports?

Hiiii I tried calling the mountain but got referred to Vail customer service and would rather die than try to deal with them...so I thought i would ask the trusted reddit.

I have heard through word of mouth that I can extent my 5 day pass to 10 day pass mid season. I was also told there is like an unspoken rule that you can get the same rate that you paid for the first 5 day pass? Was hoping to get a better understanding before the sale ends!!

Just trying to figure out what is the best course of action...do i just jump on the 10 day or start with the 5 day and see how the season is unfolding?

Does anyone have any experience with the Turkey sale in Whistler? Does it have good products at good discount or is it more of a publicity focused event where they have some products on sale and others are full price (or at a low discount)? Also, I am mostly looking for flat skis and wondering if they have options (since most places only have sale on demo skis or system skis). We will be driving from downtown Vancouver to Whistler and genuinely wondering if it’s worth the drive?

Just out of pure curiosity… how much money do people typically aim to have in their bank account when moving to Whistler?
I’ve already got a job and accommodation sorted, so I’m not stressed about those, but I’d love to hear what others had (or aimed for) as a cushion when they first arrived. Any rough numbers or experiences would be super interesting!
