Hello [r/WWE](r/WWE)!
For a while now, our rules have been years outdated and unclear to many users. We've taken the time to rewrite the rules to offer more clarity. If you are a frequent contributor here, we advise you look into these new rules, as they will be enforced.
The main things you should know:
- Anniversary posts now have restrictions. They will be classified under "low-effort" unless something else is provided with them, such as a highlight or news update.
- Cracking down on image spam. Rule 4 talks about this--- we will be trying to have less image spam in the subreddit, meaning random images that don't actually contribute to the core of the post are likely to be removed.
- Speculation is now heavily watched. Following Benjamin Satterly's death, we had a lot of users coming to us about how users were making asinine claims about how he died with little-to-no evidence. This is talked about in Rule 6.
- Funny posts are fine! They've actually always been allowed, but Rule 8 now clarifies what distinguishes a shitpost from a generally humorous post.
- Politics are still disallowed, with more clarity now. Rule 11 goes into what kind of political discussion is allowed and staying relevant to WWE.
- Rules 14 and 15 are new. Rule 14 is designed to encourage users to offer real criticism instead of coming here to blindly hate WWE (because then why are you here?) and to make this feel like an actual fan subreddit. Rule 15 talks about reliable sources and ensuring that blatantly false news doesn't get reposted here.
FULL RULE LIST AS OF 10/15/2026
- RULE 1: Follow Reddit Sitewide Rules
All Reddit sitewide rules and policies apply on r/WWE.
Please remember there is a person behind every account and participate respectfully.
- RULE 2: Spoiler & Live Show Policy
Any posts that reveal results or storyline developments must be marked as a spoiler for 24 hours after the end of the show.
POST TITLES: Do not include or imply results, surprises, or outcomes in title. Details are allowed in the body or images.
Content based on future airings or leaks must clearly indicate this in the title ("Future Spoilers").
Live reactions and discussion belong in the live megathreads. Exceptions for meaningful news or announcements.
- RULE 3: Why Can't I Post?
All posts on r/WWE require manual approval before appearing on the subreddit.
This system is in place to prevent unmarked spoilers, low-effort content, and sexualized or off-topic posts from reaching the feed.
If your post does not appear immediately, there is nothing wrong with your account. Please be patient— posts are reviewed as moderators are available.
Posts should contribute to the subreddit and encourage discussion.
Low-effort content will be removed. This includes posts that offer little effort such as one-line "thoughts?" or "who wins?" posts.
Images should be necessary to the post. If the post would be the same without the image, leave it out. Graphics are welcome.
Certain frequent questions may be removed at moderator discretion.
Buying/Selling is strictly disallowed.
News posts will only be allowed by the first poster.
- RULE 5: Respect the Community
Treat other users with respect and participate in good faith.
Personal attacks or harassment toward other users are not allowed. Disagreement is fine — focus on the discussion, not the person.
- RULE 6: Respect the Performers
Hate-based, dehumanizing, or abusive commentary is not allowed. That means no treating performers as less than human. The same applies to anyone else involved in WWE.
Speculation about a performer's private life is not allowed. Don't share rumors or theories about serious personal issues, or a death. Publicly documented history is fine, but not presented as a confirmed explanation until a reliable source speaks out.
When a performer passes away, please be respectful of their those around them.
- RULE 7: Sexualized Content
r/WWE is a SFW discussion subreddit. While WWE programming has historically included sexualized presentation, this subreddit is not a space for sexual content.
Discussion or critique of on-screen presentation, attire, storylines, or WWE's history is allowed. However, posts or comments that focus on performers' bodies for sexual appeal, repost thirst traps, or make explicit sexual remarks are not allowed.
This applies equally to all performers, regardless of gender or on-screen presentation.
- RULE 8: Memes, Humor, and Games
r/WWE allows humor, satire, and lighthearted discussion related to WWE.
However, meme posts, image macros, or template-based content should be posted to r/WWEMemes instead. This includes formats designed primarily for quick reactions or upvotes rather than discussion or "interactive game" content that happens over several posts.
Jokes, humorous observations, or satirical posts that encourage conversation are welcome. This isn't a game subreddit either, so video game content goes to r/WWEGames.
- RULE 9: No Streaming Sites/Tech Support
Per Rule 1, piracy and illegal streams are not allowed. Do not link to, name, or ask for unofficial or pirated streams.
Discussion of legal viewing options is fine, including VPNs and regional availability.
r/WWE is not a tech support subreddit. Posts about problems with your own streaming service, app, or device will be removed. Moderators and users can't fix account or connection issues.
Looking for how to watch? Check our wiki. It answers common questions about where to watch WWE locally.
- RULE 10: Self Promotion Policy
Do not use r/WWE to promote your own content. Posts that link to outside material you made are not allowed. Relevant sharing in replies is fine.
Content from WWE itself is fine to share. Clips from broadcasts are limited to a single segment.
Original content is welcome when it's made for the community. Videos must be under 3 minutes. Spammy content, including repeated posts of your own work, may be removed.
Watermarks are fine as long as they don't meaningfully obstruct what's being viewed.
r/WWE is a wrestling discussion subreddit. Political discussion is not allowed, even when there is loose connection to WWE.
Anything political that appears directly on WWE programming is fair to discuss. Keep the discussion about what happened on the show.
The other exception is when politics directly affects WWE, such as Mick Foley ending his WWE Legends deal over WWE's political affiliations.
Any political discussion that does occur must follow Rules 5 and 6.
When a major event occurs, megathreads may be created to keep discussion organized.
All related discussion should be kept in the megathread. Individual posts are allowed if they contribute meaningful updates on the event. This rule stays in effect until the megathread is unpinned. In general, any pinned post is a megathread.
This rule does not apply to weekly shows and PLEs, including their pinned live and post-show threads, which fall under Rule 2.
- RULE 13: Other Promotions
Other promotions, including AEW, can be brought up, but the main focus of a post should stay on WWE. Legitimate comparisons and talent moving between companies are fine. This generally does not apply to comments minus trolling.
Trolling or baiting other users with comparisons will not be tolerated. Users who appear to be here only to troll, rather than as fans of WWE, may be banned.
Discussion of old/defunct promotions that were related to WWE (like WCW) is welcome fully.
- RULE 14: Constructive Criticism
Criticism is welcome, including strong opinions.
If you're going to be negative, say why. Posts and comments like "this sucks" or "I hate [performer]" with no reason may be removed. Positive opinions don't need the same level of explanation, since we want r/WWE to stay welcoming to fans.
Posts and comments that only vent, pile on, or repeat the same complaints may also be removed.
If you share reports from an outside source, name the source in the post. Untraceable news may be removed. Including a link helps.
Not all sources are equal. Moderators may disallow sources at their discretion, Dirtsheet content is allowed. If it contains info about upcoming events, treat it as a spoiler.
If your source is a link, include the main takeaway in your post or body. Misleading or clickbait titles may be removed.
Present rumors and reports as what they are, not as confirmed facts.

Also, we have redone the posting flairs since they were outdated too. We now have flairs for Highlight (any clip from WWE), Dirtsheets (unconfirmed reports), Personal Content (anything from yourself that you'd like to share), and Throwback (anything old that you find interesting, this can include anniversary posts). We've also added flairs for Discussion that includes spoilers, so the users can more easily navigate the subreddit.
These are the main changes as we look to improve the subreddit. Any feedback is welcome! Thank you for reading.
