Hey everyone! I'm William, 26, based around White Rock / Surrey and working in Vancouver. Figured I'd give this a shot because apparently meeting your future wife doesn't happen by accidentally bumping shopping carts at Superstore like in rom-coms.
A little about me:
- Canadian, Japanese / Taiwanese, grew up in Hong Kong.
- Just under 6', fit, glasses, dark hair. Someone once said my dad and I look a bit like young Jackie Chan. I'll let you be the judge.
- British / Aussie accent. Don't make fun of me. I'm trying to become more Canadian by learning not to call someone a muppet during road rage.
- Work in Technology Services.
- Robotics engineering background, photographer, and creative.
- Proud owner of an 80s Porsche. Yes, I'm slowly becoming that classic car dad.
- Big fan of 80s music, movies, night drives, and exploring new places.
I'm a bit of an old-school gentleman. I'll remember your coffee order, bring you food after a long day, plan little adventures, and probably take way too many pictures along the way. I'm affectionate, goofy once I'm comfortable, and fully capable of making terrible 911 jokes with a completely straight face. Occupational hazard, perhaps.
So, what am I looking for?
Someone aged 20ā28 who's kind, loyal, affectionate, family-oriented, and genuinely looking for something long-term. I'm dating with marriage in mind, not looking to collect situationships like PokĆ©mon cards.
I'd love to find my best friend and future co-pilot. Someone I can laugh with over the dumbest things, go on spontaneous drives with, spend a lazy Sunday cuddling with, and eventually build a family with.
I appreciate the little things: good morning and good night texts, random check-ins, quality time, affection, and knowing we're both making an effort. I'm a firm believer that a relationship should feel like two people choosing each other, making each other feel wanted, and understanding each other's needs without having to constantly ask or beg. Life gets messy sometimes, but I'd rather work through things together than give up when they're no longer perfect.
I've generally connected best with Caucasian women through past experiences, partly because of shared interests in music, movies, and similar values. I know I give off the energy of a classic car dad who listens to Phil Collins and watches 80s blockbusters, so if that's your thing, we might get along. That said, genuine chemistry and compatible values matter most to me.
I'd also prefer someone local. Coffee, a day trip, an adventure, or a late-night drive sounds much better than becoming pen pals for six months.
If you're looking for something genuine too, tell me a little about yourself! What are you passionate about? What's your idea of a great first date? And most importantly, can you tolerate questionable dad jokes?
Maybe we'll hit it off. Worst case, you get a funny story out of it. Best case, we never have to use dating apps again.
