Photo/Video Long Exposure just off Crimson Trail. Logan Canyon in Logan.
Very very proud of this one. Hiked Crimson Trail about a week ago with a buddy and I brought my Nikon. Near the beginning of the trail, a stream just off the beaten path caught my eye, and we decided to venture down to it. Had always wanted to replicate that wispy water look in long exposures, so without a tripod, I braced myself the best I could. 0.5s, 100 ISO, f16. Thank heavens for IBIS. Absolutely no AI used, only retouched in Lightroom Classic :)

Q&A Are any of y'all voting to retain Justice Pohlman?
So... a lawyer buddy of mine said the State GOP is trying to undermine our democracy by encouraging voters not to retain Jill Pohlman because she, in a unanimous decision, held not to accept the GOP redistricting after the voters had voted on that measure.
I read some of the GOP talking points and the decision and they're obviously lying. Where do they get off?

Photo/Video Pictures of my adventures in Logan.
More pictures from my adventures in Utah! Met some very cute goats at the American West Heritage Center, which featured a tricky corn maze. A very blue sold out audience. A stink bug and moth. Shots from the sidewalk and gutter. Old brick buildings and statues. A nice mural and Umbrella Alley. There are some incredible parks with rivers passing right through. It was rainy but I still decided to follow the river. What a lovely town!

Link Looking for a cigar & whiskey crew in SLC
Moved to Salt Lake from Texas almost 3 years ago and I'm still looking for my people. Back home we had a few cigar clubs where folks would get together, light up, pour a bourbon or scotch (whatever your poison is), and just talk. Sometimes business, mostly not. Just good company.
I run my own business, so I'd love to connect with other owners, but that's not a requirement. Mostly looking for friends who enjoy a good smoke, a good pour, and a good conversation.
Does anything like this exist around here? Lounges, meetups, or a group of folks who get together regularly? If not, I'd be down to help start one.
Cheers .

Travel Advice 12–14 college friends visiting Utah for Thanksgiving week (Nov 23–29). Thoughts on our itinerary?
Hey everyone! We’re a group of 12–14 college friends (all 21–22) visiting Utah for the first time during Thanksgiving week. We’re flying into SLC on Nov 23 and planning a road trip.
Here’s our rough itinerary:
Nov 23–25: Moab — Arches, Canyonlands, ATV/UTV tours, hiking, exploring.
Nov 26–27: Park City — Hopefully skiing, exploring Main Street, nightlife, other activities.
Nov 28–29: Salt Lake City — Sightseeing, food, bars, and exploring the city.
We love outdoor adventures, scenic places, and nightlife.
A few questions:
Is this a good itinerary, or are we cramming too much in?
Is Moab worth visiting in late November?
How realistic is skiing in Park City during Thanksgiving?
Any must-do activities, hidden gems, or better destinations we should consider?
Anything we should know about Thanksgiving crowds, weather, or road conditions?
We’re flexible with our plans and would love recommendations from locals. Thanks!

Q&A Best restaurant for a birthday in SLC area?
Looking for lunch/dinner somewhere between Saratoga Springs and Logan, so SLC is probably the best midpoint. Price wise preferably not more than your standard Olive Garden / Texas Roadhouse prices (fertility treatments + college = I have discretionary income but need to try and save money).
We do have one picky eater but as long as he can find a standard chicken dish or steak of some sort he'll be fine.
Bonus points for local.
I'm Googling as well but would like local opinions of things I might miss haha.

Other Looking for rental recommendations!
Hi everyone! 😊
My husband, our two-year-old, and I are planning a move from Virginia to the Draper area, and I’m hoping to get some recommendations from people who are familiar with the area!
We’re looking for a rental in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood, preferably in Draper or the surrounding areas. Ideally, we would love to find a three-bedroom, but a two-bedroom would work as well! We’re primarily interested in condos or apartments, preferably on a ground floor or top floor. If it’s a building with several stories, having an elevator would definitely be a plus, especially with a toddler and baby on the way!
Our biggest challenge has been finding something affordable. We’re really hoping to stay under $1,900-$2,000 a month, including all additional fees. I’ve noticed that quite a few apartment listings advertise a reasonable base rent, but once all the additional monthly fees are factored in, the actual cost ends up being quite a bit higher.
Since we’re relocating from Virginia, we unfortunately won’t be able to tour properties in person before moving, so finding somewhere that offers virtual tours is also really important to us.
I know our budget might be a bit of a stretch for the area, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask! I would really appreciate any recommendations for apartment communities, condo rentals, private landlords, or even nearby neighborhoods that might be worth looking into.
Thank you so much in advance! ❤️

Other Moving out of state. NEED Fry sauce recipes!
Title. I KNOW I will be craving a good fry sauce, and I am in desperate need for some recipes to make my own.
Some of the best is for sure Crown Burger and Letherby's. Please post recipes here!
edit: I know its ketchup and mayo to start, but restaurants always do other things, that make it taste different from simple homemade.
